I met this ARTIST whose medium are those long thing balloons, which I found no purpose for so many years ago. This craft-master makes works of art from them, much to the delight of adults and children alike! His appearance at a recent charity event literally MADE the event for it's spectacular contribution to the children and adults attending alike. He arrives dressed as the magician he is, and brings his kit of goodies with enough stock to delight all who desire an item made by the artist. We have used this company several times for events. Usually it's a good experience but yesterdays…read moreexperience was poor. I was never told a delivery window, and had to call them. I was never told a pickup time and had to leave a message. At 8:45pm, 45 minutes after the church event ended, we just wheeled the generator and fan inside. While in the shower at home at 9:30pm I received a call from an unfamiliar number but no voicemail. I assumed they would have left a voicemail if it had been the company looking for their generator, so didn't think anything of it (I've gotten a ton of spam lately too). However, I went to church to finish a few things this morning and the inflatablr was gone. I called the company to see about the generator, and asked for a timeframe for pickup, as we didn't just want the generator sitting outside to ensure it was safe. The receptionist said she'd give me a call back. An hour later I called again, and was given another phone number for someone (unfortunately can't remember the name), but haven't been able to get ahold of them either. Now the church staff has gone home for the day so they had to just set the generator outside in a busy area of Bloomington. I am extremely disappointed in the quality of communication this time.

The young man who roasted the pig arrived on time and checked in with us frequently throughout the event making sure that everything was in order. We ordered a pig to feed 100 guests. Meals were offered with coleslaw baked beans, potato salad, and lemonade. Next time we would choose to cut back on the amount of coleslaw and potato salad as it was not as popular as the baked beans. I highly recommend using unique dining to cater your next event whether it's a graduation party, wedding anniversary, or family reunion. As for us I think will see them again at our next family get together.

Dry meat, soggy , wilted , brown salad . Paid for food we didn't even get. I had to get up and clear dishes. They served the dinner so poorly. The first served tables were done eating before the other tables even got their food. Most people didn't even eat the food ! And it was only 47 people . I can not even begin to wish this catering service on anyone. Stay away from them. It was beyond awful !!! I can't even list all that were done so poorly!

I don't know about their rates or regular operation, but if they provided a couple hundered people with fresh, creative, and extremely tasty little pizzas that I haven't stopped craving since. The catering team worked non-stop to keep fresh pizzas flying into the building (and our stomachs), and seemed like a very nice bunch of folks. All I have found about them is a Facebook page, so it appears that they only do catered events, but I'd be willing to hunt down some of this mighty fine 'za, if they get the food truck type deal going on anywhere around here....it was really yummy!

He said "Are you vegetarian or something?" I answered back yes. He responded with "Well you're never going to believe this, but in 13 years I've never had anyone say something about it". I threw my plate away, because that tells me that he is okay with cross contamination and also doesn't care about getting customers sick. They also do not apparently care how they treat their customers. This was for a corporate party event that I'm sure was very profitable for the company, but treating guests of the event in such a manner is a good way to turn future business away.

Nacho Cheese, Cotton Candy, and rental trucks?…read more Have you ever been to a party that looks like it should really be called a carnival? If so, it's because they got the nacho cheese, the cotton candy and hot dog machine along with the trucks to carry all the carny crap in at South Suburban Rental. I've been here a handful of times to pick up cheese for an old school nacho cheese machine my cousin owns. It's always a huge hit at parties and this is one of the only places around you can find the squeeze bag of cheese that fits in the machine. The employees are always friendly, the price is right (around $20 for hours of cheese laden fun) and the have pretty good hours. Next time you need cheese or cotton candy or hot dogs or generators or air machines or a snow blower maybe, you know where to go!

We have been coming to South Suburban Rental for years. The first several years was just to refill…read morethe propane tank for our grill. But wait, they offer so much more. Party supplies, items for events, tools and household items for the homeowner all the way to commercial grade equipment. In our case we were looking to aerate our lawn. We called and reserved our aerator. When we arrived to pick it up, they loaded our aerator into the back of our truck and explained to us how to use it. This worked perfectly. We were able to aerate our entire yard and return that back to South Suburban Rental. To purchase an aerator would be several hundred if not more. In this case we were able to rent ours and complete our lawn for less than $100.00. Great deal. We'll be sure to check out South Suburban Rental next time before a project. They might just have what you need.
