I was excited to hear about this place's existence. First, their orange macaron with the blue and yellow cream (i forgot what its called) is soooo good. Its a banana bubblegum and something else flavor and it worked out very well. I highly recommend the birthday cake and cinnamon toast crunch cupcakes. The cake is thicker than I am used to but I still enjoyed it and the cream was very well done. My friends highly recommended this place to me and I agree with their recommendation. I would also recommend you try the coffee available at the counter next to the cupcakes. It is a separate business. the owner is super passionate about coffee. His house blend as a latte and cappuccino are really delicious. High quality coffee that didn't need any sugar to be delicious. Both places are a bit on the pricey side, but that's about how much these things cost out in california so I wasn't put off. read more

I was surprised to see ANY negative reviews related to this place. Their cakes are absolutely DELICIOUS. My family usually doesn't eat desert (or eats very small pieces). Every single person at the table asked for a second piece -- that in itself speaks to how amazing these cakes are. I have found my "new go to place" for cakes. This rating is just for service since I didn't get a chance to try their cakes. I don't know how you get an order through. I called but was told I needed to order from the web site. I wanted a special order so the web site wasn't any help at all. I dropped by to see their cakes (I can understand if there wasn't much to see given COVID) and talk to a designer but was told the shop was pick up only. How sad that I took the effort to shop local and a small business and get turned away multiple times. Thrilled with the quality, service, and care shown in making an incredible cake for our daughter's first birthday. We normally choose cupcakes, but wanted to celebrate with friends and family, and just wanted to do something special. We got a great cake, thoroughly enjoyed by kids and adults alike (see rainbow cake pic). We ordered a cake and other goodies to celebrate a huge achievement, but the name on the cake was spelled wrong (we had everything delivered and only noticed after the delivery person left), and perhaps slightly more disappointing was that everything tasted just okay and the cake was dry. However, aside from the mistake in spelling, the decorating was really nice. For the price, I don't think this order was worth it. Hopefully our experience was a fluke. read more

I was trying to send my BF some cupcakes for his birthday while he is visiting family in Windsor, I am in Calgary, AB, and the manager of the shop was VERY sweet (haha, sweet, get it?...) I tried forever to get some help with picking up cupcakes and delivering them, and was going to have to pay a taxi to get them to pick up the cupcakes and deliver them for me. The manager was very sweet and had nice ideas to add on to the birthday gift, then said she would deliver the cupcakes herself! I love Sweet Revenge bakery. The staff have really helped me to come up with some beautiful designs for some cakes and they also taste great. For the person who said the cupcakes were hard/stale it's probably because she served them right out of the fridge. I know every time I have picked up a cake they remind me to serve it room temp that makes a huge difference. My cakes have always been super moist and tasty. I ordered a cake online for my wife's birthday. I called to confirm pickup on her birthday. They told me that a glitch in their online system allowed cake orders because of a cupcake sale, and that my order would not be ready that day. When I asked for a refund, they refused and said I could only get store credit or a gift card. When my wife, on her birthday, called them back and insisted we get a refund, they said they would refund my purchase and that it would take 5 business days. This was two weeks ago and my refund has not happened. I have had to call my credit card company to start a dispute. Do NOT order from this unscrupulous business! Fortunately, Bad Witch Bakery down the street saved my wife's birthday, and even apologized for another business treating us this way. Zero apology from Sweet Revenge. This is just plain theft at this point. You would think that during a pandemic, a business that has been able to remain open would treat their customers better. Not in this case. read more

The baked goods are great, but the quality of the service is horrendous. The girls who work the cash have no idea what they are doing, she actually told me she couldn't accept my gift card because she didn't know how to process it. She didn't offer to try to resolve the issue, call someone who might be more knowledgable about her job - just sorry for my luck? It is too bad because I definitely have a sweet tooth but there is just no way I can support this business. Please hire someone who knows what they are doing!! Sweet Revenge Bake Shop. Hi, I can't begin to explain how disappointed I am in your customer service. Let me explain my experience with your company. I went into your shop a month before my daughters baptism. I ordered a naked cake and showed the photo displayed below. I was told to pick it up at the Lesperance location (the place I ordered it from). Yesterday (Saturday) I drove by the Lesperance location and it was closed. I called and asked if the cake would be available at the Lesperance location to pick up and I was told yes. I sent a friend to pick it up and it was closed. Luckily a kind gentleman from your shop delivered it to us at the location where we were celebrating. The issue however, is that I ordered a naked cake and received the cake full of icing. The best part is that you did my friends wedding 2 weeks ago and she ordered a naked cake and you gave her a full icing cake as well. I'm not quiet sure what is going on there but it is extremely disappointing. We received a cake we did not order and paid $70 for it. I didn't spend 15 min explaining what I wanted to not get what we ordered. I own my own company and I can assure you, I would be very upset if my customers were treated this way. Their bake goods are tasty but they are not very accommodating. I had put a deposit down on my wedding cake when they informed me they could do a gluten free dairy free cake when we did our first meeting with them. A few months before our wedding I was panicking when the owner told me it wasn't possible to do both a gluten free dairy free cake (they could only do one or the other). This is not what a bride wants to hear months before her wedding. Especially since our first meeting was with the owner and I had stressed that I had both a gluten and dairy allergy. After pleading with them to try and make the cake I was told they would make an exception for me but couldn't guarantee how it would turn out. Well they did a tasting for us and the cake was amazing, I praised them on the job they did and that they should offer this to others since it is becoming more of an issue with people not tolerating both dairy and gluten. Fast forward two years after my wedding I thought I would contact them to see if they could make me an anniversary cake and was told again it wasn't possible even though they managed to do it for my wedding cake. Very disappointing, so to any of you with food allergies or intolerances I would suggest saving you the stress and finding somewhere other then Sweet Revenge Bake Shop to go with. read more

Horrible management, horrible service. The owner is very immature. I spoke to her in person and gave her a printed picture of what I want exactly, however, she goes and makes a completely different cake for me because she thinks she knows better. When I say completely different, I'm not exaggerating. Different cake, different colours, different style. When I asked why it was so different than what I had asked for, she said, "creative freedom". She didn't apologize for what she did. Did nothing about at all. She offered to repair, and she repaired it by making it messy and still not what I asked for. To top it all off, the cake was paid for fully in advance. They were supposed to charge my visa for half the amount when I placed the order, but they end up taking the full amount. So they basically lied to me. Very disappointed with their service. Horrible treats. Absolutely no taste, made very sloppily, and not cooked properly. I purchased cupcakes that were stale, hard in the middle, and when you took off the wrapper half of the cake stuck to it and was not edible. They were probably in the fridge for over a week. The cake I purchased was tasteless. Zehrs makes a better cake for $10. Why would I go to this "gourmet" bakery to spend $30 on a cake that looks pretty but tastes like nothing? Service is awful, the girls are stuck up and rude and if you criticize any baked goods, they simply say "it's an acquired taste."
