July 25, 2026 - Oak Creek, CO…read more While taking the scenic back route to check out Stagecoach State Park after we left Steamboat Springs, we stopped at Lupita's (17 miles south of Steamboat). The outdoor patio was a great place to relax, with a DJ providing live music and a fun atmosphere. I ordered the house margarita, and it was excellent--fresh, flavorful, with just the right touch of spice. We were planning to stay for lunch, but the Colorado weather had other ideas. Out of nowhere, gale-force winds, rain, lightning, and thunder rolled in. We quickly placed a to-go order for two tacos, and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Despite the wind whipping through the open kitchen, they cheerfully prepared our food and got us on our way. By the time we made it back to our campsite, the tacos were still warm and absolutely delicious. We only wish the weather had cooperated because we would have happily stayed longer--and I definitely would have ordered another margarita. Great food, friendly service, and a memorable stop. We'll definitely return the next time we're in the area.

I got the breakfast burritos and they're wrapped in bacon and you can ask for your bacon cooked however you like and oh my goodness they have such phenomenal flavor. There's eggs, potatoes, peppers, cheese yum! Quesadillas excellent And they have homemade pico de gallo, which is outstanding And the guacamole is perfectly mixed! The churros are so good. Cinnamony, drizzled with chocolate and filled with a custard that just all goes so well together. If you're traveling through this town, I highly recommend that you stop and eat here. The food is fresh, service is friendly and the ambience is upbeat and hip and there's lots of seating outside. I highly recommend that you eat here!

So I thought it important to hear a review from a local resident who frequents this establishment…read moreregularly. I consider myself a professional diner...meaning I am out 3-4 nights a week, and Northside Kitchen is my most favorite restaurant in the Vail Valley. I usually dine at the bar where either Connor or Brandon are not only offering service with a smile, but are also welcoming everyone who walks through the door! Their custom cocktails are awesome, but I go for their insanely extensive wine by the glass menu!! Caymus, Silver Oak, Duckhorn, Quilt, and about 40 other high end wines are all offered by the glass at Northside! Both 6oz and 9oz pours are available. The dining staff, are professional, pressed, and knowledgeable about wine, food, and professional fine dining service levels. The dining room offers beautiful white linen covered in butchers paper, with the perfect level of lighting to see both the menu and the guests you are dining with. The dining room and porch are modern and clean. The menu items, created by Chef Noah Bender, are delicious! Hand cut steaks and Prime Rib are favs, but don't be afraid to try their pappardelle Bolognese or the fantastic fresh "sea to table" black cod or trout! It's dynamite! You will find the service in the dining room attentive yet not overwhelming. Northside Kitchen to me is one of the most underrated fine dining restaurants in the Vail Valley!! Definitely go give this great spot a try!!

We've enjoyed The Northside Kitchen for years, but recently it has been going downhill. The…read moretake-and-bake food is still good and a great deal. Some items on the menu are still solid, but other dishes have definitely declined. I understand that it likely has a high turnover, and when new cooks come into the kitchen, the consistency just isn't the same. That's unfortunate. The donuts, which used to be the best anywhere, don't taste anything like they used to. I'm not sure if it was just an off day, or if they have changed the recipe, but I only had two bites of the old fashioned and didn't bother finishing the rest. My husband's birthday breakfast--a $16 breakfast sandwich--was also very disappointing. It came without the sausage or the hollandaise sauce. The sausage was brought out later, no hollandaise sauce, with blame placed on the new cook by the lady, running the show and behind the bar. It was essentially just one scrambled egg sandwich with cheddar cheese. It was tiny tiny, and he only ate about a quarter of it. So, we are now having a second breakfast at home. Even more disappointing than the food was the woman running things, behind the bar. We didn't catch her name, but she was unbelievably dismissive and rude, which really soured the experience. Normally, when Jim, the owner, is there, things run much smoother. He is great, and we always enjoy talking with him. Unfortunately, today was so disappointing that we will not be returning. Wh

There are two bad things about it though - how I wish I could get them after 2 pm and that I always forget how great their Sammie's and other food is too. Merch is incredible and can't wait for the summer line series of hats that come out. Im always welcomed by the staff and their vibe is so much fun. If you don't leave with the biggest smile on your face because buying donuts wasn't the highlight of your day, you suck. Don't drive by or through Glenwood without an extra 1000 calories in tow because your taste buds will get regret it.

If you are in the area, stop reading this and go get yourself these amazing doughnuts! They are absolutely delicious. My favorite was the maple bacon bar. I love a good maple doughnut. The blueberry fritter and strawberry glazed sprinkle were also scrumptious. The doughnuts themselves are soft and full of flavor. The staff here is so nice and friendly. I loved the chill cozy vibe of this location. I definitely recommend coming early, this place was pretty busy. The breakfast sandwiches also looked amazing. I can't wait to try them and try some more doughnuts! With all the options to pick from, you can definitely find something you're gonna love! Anytime I'm in the area, I will be stopping by!
