Honestly, I was not expecting much, given we did not need a reservation for dinner here. But the meal was amazing. Basic but well done. Oysters were fresh, garlic bread...omg .. sooo yum! Our steaks were done to perfection. Only down side was the risotto on the side, which I expected to be creamy and luxurious was unfortunately not. Everything else was really lovely. I am happy to recommend this place for a good dining experience. Reef & beef mostly, but really done well and good service with reasonable pricing. Check it out when in Byron.. particularly if you can't get in elsewhere for dinner. It's right next to the Woolies!

We dropped in every afternoon for the first 2 nights of our Yamba stay and didn't like the look of the fish that was on display. On day 3 we dropped in at lunchtime and spotted some fresher local flathead fillets! We ordered 3 fillets and a "small" serve of chips - this turned out to be a generous feed for my husband and I and pretty good value at $37. We did have to navigate our way around a few bones and fins, but it was worth it! On day 4 we dropped in and bought 1 kg of prawns which we had for dinner at our holiday rental that evening! They were terrific! In my opinion that's the best thing to buy there. If you do want cooked fish - I think it's better to come for lunch as all the good stuff seems to be gone by dinnertime!
