A ring on my doorbell and I opened the door to find a gentleman holding this large exciting-looking…read morepink gift bag. Marked on it's side is "The Cupcake Queens." The thought alone of cupcakes being delivered to my door take me straight to Cloud 9 in Foodie Heaven. But I have to pinch myself, this is no dream. I have a happy gift bag in my hand now. Inside the house, I take a bright pink box out of the gift bag. Lifting the lid, I had 12 gorgeous cupcakes gleaming right at me. Three cards were inside: one of the cupcake flavors, another listing the Cupcake Queens locations across Melbourne, and the last was the best: containing a birthday message from my family in Canada. I don't know what sorcery this was, that I had cupcakes in front of me, and a loving message from Canada. Talk about how global the world is?! It still surprises me and makes me feel like a special little butterfly. You can only imagine how I spent the rest of my day...Stuffing my face with cupcakes and tea watching chick flicks. It was bliss. I was in absolute love with these cupcakes from The Cupcake Queens. They were so colorful and pretty looking. I couldn't help but taking a cupcake photo shoot with each of them. And the taste was so balanced. The cake itself was dense and not just fluffy air that you can find in some cakes with no substance. The frosting got me, creamy and thick and it gave me starry sugar eyes. Not only were these cupcakes eye candy Instagram worthy, the taste and flavor was in the ten's. I wish I could go on a rave forever exclaiming about how wonderful these cupcakes are, but maybe you should just go and try them for yourself!

Upon emailing the Cupcake Queens, there was no apology issued, simply a defensive response stating this was one of their busiest days and so they couldn't help being late. I had been assured that my order would arrive within a specific time window and had arrived extra early to receive it. When the cupcakes finally arrived, the delivery men informed us that they weren't told they had to be here early. In addition to the defensive customer service response we were fed with the good old 'we can't control traffic and weather conditions' and 'this is one of our busiest days', none of which we'd been told were conditions of our order when we fully paid for the cupcakes up front. Really disgusted with the service and will never order from them again.

Reachable via a laneway that happens to lead to the station, you're chased in by the sounds of the…read moretrains overhead as you enter this cupcake restaurant of doom. Perhaps that's too strong a word. It's not really a restaurant, more of a cafe. But cupcakes and doom. The amazingly tantalizing taste of doom that can only come from slightly overpriced but elegantly decorated sugary treats of eye watering proportions. What's even better is the wonderful crew here also take classes in Cupcake Baking & Decorating! They consider it a Masterclass, which after sampling the goodies they have on offer here I would have to agree. They can make you into a cupcake aficionado in no time! While the classroom isn't here itself, you can sign up for them in store or online. The cafe is remarkably small for the amount of people that seem to flow i and out of it, all smile and eyes glazed over on some sort of sugar cloud. I've been told they open early for coffee but the cupcakes aren't actually on offer until 9am. Brace yourself

A big - I won't be back…read more.. I live and work in the area and have gone a couple of times. I have to say on all occasions that my service has been very up and down, lack of consistency drives me crazy. However today I went to get cupcakes for myself and work colleagues and waited, and waited while others were served before me - EVEN though they came in after! The girl serving had seen me, asked me if I was ok which I said no. Maybe she didn't hear me but her lack of enthusiasm wasn't comforting either. Basically I walked out cupcakeless to a girl making coffee going "sorry!". Yes, you will be. I won't be back - at all. Note, please don't have staff work who look sick and unenthusiastic either... it's still food handling and I'm kinda glad that your staff missed me now. I also agree with other reviewers about the paper bagging, if I'm paying $4 for a cupcake, I don't want the icing on the bag when I remove it.

Don't order from here - Terrible service - Didn't deliver it to the right address and still charged…read moreme. I ordered cupcakes online from Little Cupcakes in Melbourne (05/10/2020) to be delivered to my friend as a surprise on her birthday (10/10/2022) at 11.30am. I paid a $25 priority delivery fee in addition to the cost of the cupcakes to ensure it reached her. I originally supplied her work address for delivery but then emailed them (07/10/2022) to change it to her home address. The company's T&Cs state any changes to delivery need 7 days' notice, so I asked if this change was ok. They sent me an email that same day confirming the new delivery address. Day of the delivery (10/10/2022) and I didn't hear anything. I email them at 1.26pm asking if they had been delivered. I was told that the logistics manager didn't have the order and was asked if I wanted it delivered on (12/10/2022) instead, or if I wanted a refund. I opted for the refund as it would not be there on my friend's birthday, so defeated the purpose. They then emailed me at 4.18pm saying that whoops, it was actually delivered, but to the work address. I confirmed that I still wanted a refund as my friend wouldn't be in the office until the end of the week so the cupcakes wouldn't be any good. After ringing someone at that office, not me, they said that they would offer a $10 credit for my next order rather than a refund, to which I said no. They then said (12/10/2022) they would just refund the $25 priority fee. Still not good enough. They then said that they would only give me a full refund if the cupcakes could be picked up fully intact two days after being delivered to an office work fridge - absolutely ridiculous! This is probably the first review I have written in over 10 years. It's not something I do. But I thought it was worth letting people know how bad their service is. Do yourself a favour, order cupcakes elsewhere.

Tiny, but cheerful and friendly. They usually have one or two vegan cupcake options (I had the…read moreBlack Velvet -- yum!), and they've got soy milk for lattes, so not a bad spot for vegans at all. It's a cute, bright place, but it's teensy tiny and mostly take-away only, so you might not get a seat. There are Little Cupcakes locations everywhere, but this one is the most fun for people-watching because you're right in Degraves St, a laneway that's popular with locals and tourists alike. As far as cupcakes go, they really are little -- but if you're just craving something sweet and not something to fill your tummy, Little Cupcakes are perfect. They can be quite rich and decadent, too -- don't be fooled by the size!
