Very fun and friendly. All those add ons really add up when the ice cream hits the scale. read more

Yummy Froyo! They didn't have too many toppings but they had the cheesecake bites so that's a plus! We also ordered a boba and unfortunately didn't know the different bases and wasn't asked so we ended with a milk based one we didn't quite enjoy or finish. read more

Sweet Luna's - Soft serve vanilla ice cream with Oreo cherry M&M's peanut M&Ms, gummy sharks and crushed peanuts - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Old Saybrook, Connecticut

My son and I came in to have ice cream recently and the owner came over to our table and gave my son a goodie bag full of sweets. She then told us we could pick out a dog Christmas ornament off their tree it was so sweet. Our dog just passed away recently and this gesture was everything we needed. The froyo and toppings were amazing as always. Thank you! read more

Came here when I was visiting Old Saybrook for the day; definitely a hidden gem in a quaint town. The frozen yoghurt is very rich a tasteful, with each flavor actually tasting like their description. The toppings too were very good and had a large selection of them. The price was reasonable too, with members of my party managing to split one amongst two people for about $8. The service was very nice as well. I had never been to a self serve place before and the employee kindly explained how the system worked. They were very nice to customers. The ambiance was very nice with both indoor and outdoor seating. Only issue is that they do not have any accessible restrooms for the public, which was the only downside to stopping there. If in Old Saybrook, I will return to this location! read more

I believe this is one of the only self serve places that made it through the pandemic. Very glad they did as they have been a staple in Old Saybrook for quite a while. A great and delicious option for dessert. Place is very clean! There are hand sanitizing stations at the door and right before you grab your cup and start choosing your flavors and goodies. Most of the toppings are in dispensers or are covered with lids. They have a good sized selection of topping options. The standards sprinkles, cookie and candy bits, fudge, peanut butter, and fruity boba as well! If you think toppings are the best part of a sundae, then this is your spot. They have a few tables inside and outside. It is always hopping in the summer but they are open year round if you need your sweet tooth fix at any point! read more

Super friendly staff and very clean. My husband and I enjoyed the Boba Tea; cappuccino and mango pineapple while the kids had fun making their own ice cream treats with more candy than actually needed! Nicely shaded outdoor seating. read more

Sweet Luna's - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Old Saybrook, Connecticut

Sweet Luna's is your typical frozen yogurt type spot. It has a variety of different yogurt flavors and toppings. I think they actually had less toppings than I am used to at sweet frog. The yogurt itself tasted good and the toppings were good. It just wasn't anything special. read more

Sweet Luna's - Awesome froyo - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Old Saybrook, Connecticut

It's nice and clean and tastes good, but they don't have granola, which is my favorite topping, so that was a bummer.. Staff was friendly. The music was like, top 40, but from like, 2013. Please get granola Sweet Luna's owners, please. read more

Stopped into Sweet Luna's on a whim, expecting the stereotypical frozen yogurt shop. This place is so much more! Delicious but be careful! Without warning, adding too many toppings could end up with a $8 dessert (oops)! So - yes very simple and delicious, but watch your wallet! read more

Sweet Luna's - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Old Saybrook, Connecticut

I agree with Cassie, the employees who work here could use a slight attitude adjustment. Correction; not all of them, just one of them. I've been a repeat customer of Sweet Luna's over the years and during my last visit the girl with the acne scarred face gave me an attitude like you wouldn't believe. When I asked for the restroom key, she didn't look at me. She simply continued sweeping the floor with her head pointed down (pretending like she didn't hear me). Only when I said I was a paying customer did she lift her head, make eye contact, and hand over the key. I don't have a problem with their customers-only policy for their restroom. It makes sense. I agree with it. But I do have a problem with their presumptuous attitude that everyone who asks for the key is a non-paying customer. That's simply not true. I purchased a lot of frozen yogurt that night. I purposely stopped at the Bank of America ATM beforehand to withdraw cash for my late night snack. I did not walk inside the shop with the sole intention of using their restroom. Like I said, I've been a repeat customer over the years. But my last visit left a real sour taste in my mouth. I may not be a repeat customer much longer if that kind of attuitude becomes the new norm inside this place. read more

I love this place! I visit every time I'm in CT. The staff is friendly, the store is very clean, the frozen yogurt is tasty, and the dog-centric paintings will make any dog lover misty eyed with joy. It's truly a special place. read more

My mum's first time trying Fro yo n she absolutely loved it. Wonderful variety of toppings

Great place! Great Staff! I've been going for a couple of years now and never have been disappointed. The store is always clean with a hint of that little nostalgic, candy shop smell we all recognize. The music is classy, the place is snazzy. So go get some froyo, its better than ice cream after all. read more

I learned about this place about a year and a half ago, and since then, it has become my favorite bubble tea place! They have a wide variety of flavors (even though I usually just get the same one every time) and the prices are about the same as any other bubble tea place you go to. So far, I've been to a bunch of other bubble tea places since I've moved to Hartford, but I always find myself coming down to Old Saybrook because Sweet Luna's has one of the best milk teas I've ever had. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is inviting, and the frozen yogurt is awesome, too. And they have a rewards program for bubble tea fanatics like me! Highly recommend. read more

We stopped in to Sweet Luna's after a lunch in town because we were on the hunt for cold brew. Well, we got very lucky because not o my did they have deliciously strong java but also raspberry Del,s and fresh lemonade. Literally something for everyone in our group. Prices are kind of high however you're supporting a local business so it's worth it. If you're looking for a cold drink this is your place! read more

Have you ever gone to an ice cream shop and couldn't decide what you wanted because there were too many good choices? And then when you get what you ordered you wish you had a little of something else? Well problem solved because at Sweet Luna's you can have a little of everything! We stopped in here yesterday with the family because I had noticed that it was new, but did not know it was a self serve frozen yogurt place, which is very exciting. The deal is you can serve your own yogurt with any and off of the toppings your little heart desires and then you pay per weight for your custom concoction. I shared a yogurt with my two year old and he was thrilled about putting m&ms on his yogurt because they are favorite and I was happy because I got a little something of what I liked too. The colors inside a bright and cheerful as are the ladies attending the customers. I think this is a great spot to stop in for a cool treat and am excited to go back. read more

I'm a huge fan of this place. Everyone always tells me how good Pinkberry is, but it doesn't even hold a candle to Sweet Luna's in my opinion. This is a little kid's (or my, a 26 year old) dreams come true. You go in, get a big cup, fill it with however much yogurt of whatever flavor you want, then you walk down the row of delicious toppings (chocolate, broken up candy bars, fruit, hot fudge, whipped cream) and add whatever you want. Their yogurt is delicious and they always have really great flavors. You pay by the ounce, and it's not inexpensive, and it just gets more expensive because you can't keep yourself from adding more toppings :) For 4 of us, we'll spend around $25. When we're visiting people in Old Saybrook, we'll regularly go to Sweet Luna's for dinner. Amazing. Highly recommend, you can't help but have fun while you're there. read more

Outstanding selection of Soft Serve Yogurt and Gelato with a even more impressive menu of toppings. Definitely pricey, but given the location it's on point for the most part. read more

I am a frozen-yogurt FAN! I was excited to stop at this new shop in Old Saybrook. Although I loved the California citrus yogurt I selected and my husband liked the yogurt flavor/toppings he selected, the price was a bit too high for a simple treat. You pay per ounce, however they deduct the weight of the one-size-fits-all cup you put your fro-yo into. We did not even fill half the cup with yogurt, yet we paid over $14 for the 2 cups! I had no toppings on mine; my husband put a few strawberries and blueberries on his. Good quality, fairly high price. read more

Best place for froyo. Clean and cozy little place. Many option for low fat and fat free yogurts.

Luna's is pretty awesome minus the huge hole it'll leave in your wallet. Aside from the $$$ this place has a great selection of non-fat and gluten free yogurts And a huge and fun selection of toppings. Be careful though because you pay by the ounce! read more

I got my first sample of Sweet Luna's frozen yogurt at the Saybrook Chowder Cookoff - March 2014, and I was hooked. The staff is polite and friendly. They have clean and airy decor. The mix-ins are well organized and the containers they are in keep the mess down to a minimum. The flavors and combos are yummy, and the pricing seems very fair. I always stop here with my son whenever I am in the area. There's always room for yogurt!! read more

Overpriced and overall poor quality froyo. Toppings were stale and tasted old. Would not give it to my dog.

Sweet Luna's was the perfect ending to an awesome weekend. The staff was so welcoming and personable. I'm an ice cream/frozen yogurt fanatic and it was hands down the best place I've ever gone to. Their pistachio was delicious. Wish it was closer to home, but it's a must go to!! read more

This place is way too freezing and the ice cream is so over priced that I had to take a second mortgage out on my house to pay for. I went here with my friend and got what we thought was a small amount of ice cream but somehow it amounted to 17 dollars! Maybe the scale is rigged or something... on top of this the ice cream that came out of the machine at first was closer to water and even after that it was too runny and maybe more appropriate to be served as a smoothie. From now on I'm gonna spend 3 dollars on a tub of frozen yogurt from the store instead of getting ripped in half by these froyo con artists! Good riddance! 0 stars if I could. read more

Luna's has great frozen yogurt. And every palette can find their favorite among the multiple choices to mixins and toppings. They're always clean, the employees are helpful and nice read more

Great frozen yogart that is apparently either fat free (vanilla) or low fat (several other flavors). That is BEFORE you add the toppings. It sure doesn't taste fat free. They have some delightful flavors even without putting toppings on. The only reason I don't give this five stars is the cost. It's not inexpensive. Comparitively speaking, you can buy two similarly sized ice creams at the other soft serve ice cream place in town for less than half the price of Sweet Luna's. Those of you familar with Saybrook know where it is, it's the one where all the little league players go after a game. Additionally, Sweet Luna's only offers one cup size... Large. Anyway, that doesn't stop me from going here because the "screem" is good. Business seems to be pretty good every time I go.... I hope they can make it through a quiet winter when it's only townies that are around..... read more
