After dealing with the dog we checked the reviews and they were good so we decided to stay here and eat. We all really enjoyed our breakfasts. I got the breakfast with biscuits and gravy, even though she said they don't make the biscuits in house. It was very good. I also got grits and scrambled eggs. My husband got 2 eggs over easy with English muffins, bacon and grits. Our son got the breakfast with pancakes. The service was excellent and the interior was cute. Our server was really nice but I can't remember her name.

Read my reviews and you'll see that B&G is a frequent mention, especially when I travel away from home. And if there was a Mount Rushmore for B&G, I'm would put Family Ties' up on it... right next to Mom's Restaurant in Franklin, Ohio (formerly located in Red Lion). , Small order for $4.95. Large for $5.95. I added two eggs over easy. This is 2026 pricing! The plate came out looking unassuming. I ordered a small plate which is one open face biscuit with plenty of Gravy on top. (I didn't take a pic because I was in the small booth next to what I assume is the back door. The sun was casting shadows so I missed a great photo op). Looks are deceiving. This is some seriously good stuff. So simple but Sooooooo Good. Please don't ever change this recipe. I will be back!

Everything was fresh, satisfying, and full of flavor, and the dark coffee was strong, hot, and really satisfying... at least I thought so. The chill atmosphere is artsy, bohemian, and inviting, with a relaxed neighborhood coffeehouse feel. One thing to know is that you order at the bar rather than having someone come to your table. It was easy enough, but it is helpful to know ahead of time. By 9:00 a.m., there was already a long line of people placing orders, which I guess says a lot about how popular this place could be. If you want a table, definitely come early! We had a great experience and hope to return again soon when I'm back in this part of Tennessee again! Thanks for the memories!!

The sandwich was fresh and delicious, and the cold brew was smooth and exactly what I was looking for. The service was great--friendly and welcoming--and the restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated with a comfortable atmosphere. Great food, great coffee, and great service. Server took our order, dropped it off, and then brought the check. Didn't bother to see if everything was okay. It would have been nice to have had "melted" cheese on my burger and a "real" lemon slice instead of a craft of imitation lemon juice on the table. Drove from Cookeville because we were looking forward to it. Menu is so down sized that you won't believe it's a Shoney's. Bar food looked dry and unappetizing. Won't be back.

NONE of the food items were labeled as to what they were. My mother ordered scrambled egg whites and when the waitress brought them out I was shocked she even had the audacity to set them on our table. I should have taken a photo. There was so much brown greasy oil it was sickening. Needless to say - common sense - she didn't eat any of them. Our whole family has been up all night feeling sick to our stomach's. I'll spare you the details. And NO - none of us were feeling sick whatsoever before eating at this Shoney's. This was a horrible, unsanitary, disgusting experience. We will never be back. I suggest going pretty much anywhere else. Do not eat here.
