There is not wait service, and you pay up front after you eat. Mexican tv plays in the background, and there is a small area with some groceries to the side. It is not a huge selection, but I was able to find some Honduras cream, which is one of my favorite things on the planet. The food was delicious. We were not sure what to try, so we played it safe and got a taco salad and a fajita quesadilla. We both opted for steak, and we both loved what we ate. My husband said his quesadilla tortilla was very crunchy and flavorful. I felt the same about my taco salad shell. I generally don't eat the shell on a taco salad, but I ended up dipping mine in the sauces they provided us because it tasted so good. The sauces were also really nice. The red one was extremely hot, but the green one was more acceptable for me. It had a nice flavor and I ended up putting it on everything. We will definitely be coming here again, and I'm excited to try different items on the menu.

BACK & BETTER THAN EVER!!…read more After moving a few doors down and across the street, we were SO HAPPY to hear that our favorite place this side of Cedar Rapids was open again!! The food was amazing as ever tonight, and the staff was busier than ever. Everyone is treated like family at Las Brasas. Steak Feliz for me, Chimichanga for my wife, and queso with the house salsa to share. Check the video -- the flavor was even better! We had to drive full around the block to find parking, they were so popular, yet staff was on top of our needs, friendly as ever, and they were moving customers like clockwork. The new place is more intimate and with better seats and decor than the old. Back and better than ever!!

The tart berries cut through the sweetness of the cheesecake flavors. The staff were warm and cheerful and as sweet as the candy next door. I felt like a long lost friend upon arrival. I enjoy the cozy & old fashioned atmosphere of the Soda Fountain Shoppe. The building is an impressive 150 years old and was a traditional mercantile/general store. It feels both old and yet familiar to me. Even the restroom was clean & tidy. With a price as yummy as their treats I feel I'm likely to return often.

You'll love it here, cuz I'm gonna cone back so if I say that, TRUST, it's da BOMB! I took home a "Raspberries and More ($8.75) smoothie with an added banana. Root Beer and Blackberry won me over that day but Raspberry and Boysenberry were calling my name as well (next time!). I would definitely come back here again. The lady helping us at the counter was so friendly, and the location has lots of seating and parking spots. Cash or Check only!
