It's nice knowing that they are genuinely looking at my items instead of just rushing. I even have brought in a walk in a few times which does take longer, but they still accepted it with a smile and got it back to me within a few days! I was thrilled to find a place for a single mom on a limited budget to shop for clothes and toys that were affordable...usually less than half the original sticker price. I was able to provide clothes and toys for many years thanks to your business. Fast forward to March 2025. I now have 3 granddaughters. We watch them every other weekend. My spouse and I are both disabled and back on a limited budget, which I never thought I'd be at the age of 50 after working in the corporate world for 20 years. I thought - hey...we just moved back to this side of town, I can shop for the girls at Once Upon a Child! NOPE. Won't do it now OR EVER!!! Imagine my surprise when I went to the size 12 section for girls and found an adorable white tank top with some brown and tan butterflies on it --- something I would expect to pay a couple dollars for at a SECOND HAND SHOP. NOPE - $6.00. I thought maybe it was a mistake so I looked at the very next white tank top that was plain white...with the top of the front with frilly material. $4.00. WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!? I worked in negotiations...maybe these are opening prices....maybe? I went up to the counter and asked if the prices were negotiable. I was told, only if there is obvious damage. Well, no damage to those shirts...other than Once Upon a Child wanting to rip off customers. I am extremely disappointed in what this business has become. Maybe it's because the location borders on Sylvania/Toledo that as a business you think it is okay to charge these prices? Maybe it's because your business model has changed and instead of trying to serve a population that lives paycheck to paycheck you are now more interested in profit? Let's just say that I will take my business elsewhere, probably to the actual stores that sell those items brand new for the price you are charging for used...or even less. I hit it early and saw that there was no recovery from the night before (retail term), but it was a large, well-stocked store of the likes I haven't seen since living in Canton, MI. Lots of clothing options, no fresh fruit (which is okay-I don't shop Target for produce), but plenty of deals. I will be back, especially since there is a HomeGoods in the same center!!!

The 5 bags were taped together with masking tape, except for 1. The 1 bag not connected, but sitting next to the ones taped together, was the ONLY set with a price. I accepted, went home and set it up. Of course; there are a lot of pieces that don't connect to anything! (Such as downward ramp pieces that must connect to something). I called the owner and explained that I believe the 5th set was in fact apart of what I had purchased. She told me no, it wasn't apart of the set and I could bring in the pieces that don't fit anything, for a credit toward the 5th set!! Which makes no sense; i want to complete my set not give pieces away??! Seems like another worker priced the set incorrectly at $23 and the owner wasnt going to let it go for that price. Very shady! Now my set is incomplete and she wants me to pay more money to get the pieces that belong to my set. Horrible customer service.

Tonight was one of those headache nights... We placed an order to arrive between 8-10pm. Normally we sign off on it in person, but I must have overlooked the appropriate box when placing the order. So, a load of groceries were delivered to my mom's front porch- some that she'd ordered, some orders that were omitted, and a lot of things she hadn't ordered, didn't want, and had no room to store. In contacting Customer Service, at least on the weekend, chat AI was the only option. They were willing to refund items ordered and not received. As for orders not ordered, they were unwilling to pick them up and suggested donating, disposing or using as we saw fit. I'm sure someone else was missing their groceries and I had hoped they could get to the person who'd ordered them but no luck. It was a substantial amount of extra groceries and fortunately our neighbors were willing to happily accept them. However, I can't help but think about how much money is wasted in this fashion. Clearly this was not the first time this situation had been encountered. (e.g. cartons of milk, cartons of yogurt, RedBull, organic carrots, pretzels, ground beef, peppers, potatoes, chocolate bars, and more!). There's definitely a disconnect between who picks/bags groceries and who delivers them. We once had a situation where an ice cream birthday cake was delivered to the stop before ours -resulting in me running out to the store to pick it up. It's a convenient service when it works and unfortunately that's not always the case. Buyer beware!
