I am so disappointed in the owners of this establishment. I'd love to hear back from them. My daughter is 31. I was a single mom and when she was growing up, this store opened. I was thrilled to find a place for a single mom on a limited budget to shop for clothes and toys that were affordable...usually less than half the original sticker price. I was able to provide clothes and toys for many years thanks to your business. Fast forward to March 2025. I now have 3 granddaughters. We watch them every other weekend. My spouse and I are both disabled and back on a limited budget, which I never thought I'd be at the age of 50 after working in the corporate world for 20 years. I thought - hey...we just moved back to this side of town, I can shop for the girls at Once Upon a Child! NOPE. Won't do it now OR EVER!!! Imagine my surprise when I went to the size 12 section for girls and found an adorable white tank top with some brown and tan butterflies on it --- something I would expect to pay a couple dollars for at a SECOND HAND SHOP. NOPE - $6.00. I thought maybe it was a mistake so I looked at the very next white tank top that was plain white...with the top of the front with frilly material. $4.00. WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!? I worked in negotiations...maybe these are opening prices....maybe? I went up to the counter and asked if the prices were negotiable. I was told, only if there is obvious damage. Well, no damage to those shirts...other than Once Upon a Child wanting to rip off customers. I am extremely disappointed in what this business has become. Maybe it's because the location borders on Sylvania/Toledo that as a business you think it is okay to charge these prices? Maybe it's because your business model has changed and instead of trying to serve a population that lives paycheck to paycheck you are now more interested in profit? Let's just say that I will take my business elsewhere, probably to the actual stores that sell those items brand new for the price you are charging for used...or even less. I live out of town and I went here a couple of Sundays ago. Everyone here was really nice. The workers go beyond and above for their customers. When i go visit i will go back to this store because of the human kindness that was displayed at this store. As a veteran those things are needed in the universe! read more

they Charge a lot for used items. They Never give you enough money when you're trying to sell them clothes. I brought in like 20 brand new outfits & about 10 used outfit, and they only wanted to give me $15 read more

Love this store! Staff is super helpful, knowledgeable, energetic, and willing to help me find whatever I need! Everything is priced decently well and they have a ton of amazing items (even though I have seen some worn or stained stuff, but I'm sure it happens). Although with COVID-19 they have had to switch to an appointment system for selling, I have found it surprisingly beneficial since I know when my items will be done and they have their own time dedicated towards my items. It's nice knowing that they are genuinely looking at my items instead of just rushing. I even have brought in a walk in a few times which does take longer, but they still accepted it with a smile and got it back to me within a few days! Definitely worth the wait and I absolutely love visiting the Sylvania location! read more

Overall they have a nice selection but they charge quite a bit for used clothing. If you go to kids for less at the mall you can get brand new clothes for the same price (or cheaper in most cases) than what they charge here. My biggest issue was the employee I got. I believe tone is everything so I speak really delicately when dealing with cashiers being that I use to be one and dealt with a lot of assholes. I dealt with an older Caucasian lady when I went and she was kind of a bitch (excuse my language but she was) I came in to sale my items and being that I had never been here before I honestly didn't know what to expect. After I gave her my items she told me it would be a 2 hour wait because the computers were down- that's fine. After that I asked Genuinely curious and I said it delicately "ok, do I get a ticket or something that I bring back in when I come back" then the lady said very rudely "just hold on that's what I'm getting" I ignored the rude tone and waited- while I was waiting 2 people who were shopping noticed each other and decided to talk to each other then this same cashier called over to them "hey!You can't do that here" (they were shopping not soliciting- they were just talking) these 2 people also ignored her rude tone and the one customer said to the other customer "okay, I'll just talk to you when I get outside" the customer heard them and rudely said to them "you can't do that either- this is our property" she was very rude toned about everything and just unnecessarily a straight up bitch for no reason- I get that people have person issues. We all do but it doesn't give you a reason to be an asshole to people who are treating you with respect. I didn't want to deal with her again in the fear that I might deal with the same lady and end up cussing her out and looking ignorant so I sent the father of my child to get the cash once they were done with my items- sorry if I misspelled or made some typos I wrote quite a lot and I don't feel like going back to check my errors. Long story short PASS ON THIS LOCATION. I've been to the one in Perrysburg since this issue and the customer service is a lot better read more
