Okay, it does like in the shadow of the Arkaba, but it has something that the Arkaba lacks - the tackiness of your classic old man pub, complete with the old men sitting at the bar. I haven't been here much, though I did land up here for a function years ago (having been dragged along by a friend to an Amway convention) but other than that this was just a pub we went past on our way out the hills. As a pub it's nothing special, but it does have a nice beer garden, and the old man tackiness does give it some character.

The food was really nice and the staff were lovely. The cafe is dog-friendly, infact the walls are decorated with polaroids of all the dogs that have ever visited (and that's a LOT of photos). The walls and ceilings are stenciled with their name and decorative coffee sacks. All the cute little chairs and tables are full, so I get my coffee take away. Their food cabinet is appropriately themed for the Christmas season, so everything is red and green and very, very sugary. The two women running the shop are friendly and efficient, and help support the fun and positive atmosphere of this little room. It's nice to come across something so individual in the midst of all the typical franchises in this centre. Sadly though, the coffee is mild to the point of blandness, with no real flavour. I appreciate that it isn't made to hot, so it can be drunk almost immediately without burning, yet without the flavour and the hit of coffee, it is a disappointment.
