It is a heritage listed house, the wedding we attended was one of 2 on the day, with the ceremony in the grounds. I know the wedding we attended was planned on a tight budget, but you would never have known that. It really was a beautiful day, the food was lovely, salmon steak with avocado, dill and capers as an entree, a beautiful main of chicken and sweet potato mash or lamb shanks and a dessert platter with a trio of little dessert tasters. I was keen to improve my swing and distance so we decided to practice for awhile. Having played golf before at numerous other golf clubs, I was quite impressed by their practice facilities. The venue seemed to be very popular with almost every practice station taken up by a member or guest. The golf course itself is absolutely stunning and is renowned as a Championships course. The golf club has plenty of facilities including a refreshments bar, carts and buggies and a pro shop. You can also hire golf equipment if you do not own any or require any additional items to win your round of golf! Golf tuition is available for those of us who wish to brush up on our skills and hopefully improve a bit! Overall, the course is beautiful maintained while the premises are well kept. The green is in good condition and the club has plenty of facilities including a restaurant and function rooms. Membership is available for individuals, family, corporate or on junior levels. The food at Macquarie Links is also pretty decent!

I was so impressed with how things turned out for my son's 21st birthday that I felt I must share this information. I wanted the party to be a very special and memorable event as there were relatives coming that I had not seen for many years. The manager, Roger was so helpful in helping me choose an appropriate menu and explaining all the different menu items, despite the fact I could not pronounce the majority of them. I told him that I wanted lots of food so that people would not be going through the McDonalds drive through on the way home, also I wanted there to be "WOW" factor with all the food served. We had about 25 guests in our small three bedroom unit and there was certainly not enough room for a sit down meal. This was all taken into account and the type of food served was specifically suited to our needs. It was magical to have a chef turn up at our house before the party to set up beautifully presented platters ready as the guests started to arrive. Then throughout the entire afternoon, he created dish after dish after dish of exceptionally presented gourmet canapes that I proudly went around and served all my guests. The quality and beautiful presentation as well as the exceptional taste of the food was the topic of everyone's conversation. I will never forget how everyone just stopped what they were doing and came to see as the chef torched the banana brulee just before serving. Everyone had their iPhones poised to capture this magical moment. Words cannot describe that moment....you just had to be there! At the very end, everyone clapped and cheered the chef for making this a truly memorable and enjoyable occasion. I received so many compliments on how amazing the food was and what an extraordinary party it turned out to be. I attribute the great success of the event to Icon Event Catering and the fact that Roger took the time to listen carefully to what I wanted and certainly provided a highly trained chef with exceptional, gourmet food and loads of it.
