This venue has been open for 6 months now. What a hidden gem. As I walked in the door I was welcomed and then impressed by the decor. French provincial? Whatever it is I found it classy, casual and very homey. Lots of thought has gone into the details. I am a bit of a brunch man, so this place will be for me. Lunches at at Cafe prices for the time being so I am more than happy to come eat here and see all they have to offer. If you are able to come in for dinner you can sit around a large elegant table that is set up farmhouse style. Great for a small group. Or small tables of 2 or 4 are available. I think I may have found my local... Happy place!

Okay, it did actually…read moreextend beyond the fact that it was located in an awesome building, which happens to be the original building that the pub was located in. The thing is that upon going inside I discovered a rather good selection of beers on tap, and when I have to spend time attempting to choose a beer, then I known I have found a pub that I like. However, they also have a beer garden, and a pretty decent one at that, so yeah, this is definitely one of those pubs on my list of going back to again one day.

Honestly I was quite hungry but this was a lacklustre meal, I had the chicken and seafood special…read more The chicken was precooked and re-grilled chicken steak with a huge portion of chips, three crumbed prawns which tasted like oil and a very basic salad that you could buy in a premix bag from the supermarket and three small piece of calimari which was like a big ball of chewing gum. The Chips were really good, probably why the portion is so big in hopes that you will fill up on them and you won't complain about a poorly portioned meal. I wouldn't eat or try that again. I don't like leaving bad reviews but I'm afraid this just wasn't good.

Tell me how much you enjoy it on your 32inch disappointment! Getting to Olympic Park - if you don't take public transport you are an idiot. Good God, it's one of the only places that is designed to get you in and out as quick as possible (apart from your first girlfriend). The ground itself has the feel of a local ground with the facilities of a giant stadium. So close you can here the players fart! The choices of food vendors was enviable compared to what we typically have at ball games in the US (although they are getting much better). I wish we had options of kebab, shewarma, Asian food and lots of other great stuff!! The seats were solid and it seemed like no matter where you sat, you would have a decent view. Bathrooms were incredibly clean for a stadium (maybe this is common on the land of Oz?). I hope US sports team owners will visit stadiums in Australia if this is a similar experience I would have elsewhere. Top notch!

We sat "outside" but it was nicely sheltered from the elements. Easily opened up for some air as more people came. Food was really tasty for what it is, I'm not Lebanese but have had Al Aseel in Greenacre for comparison! It stands up to Al Aseel and if we're lazy to drive to the other side of Sydney (or the weather is like it is today, rainy and wet!) then this does our craving for dips, meats and falafels! I think we'd consider this place for a function next time as food comes out quick and fast and can accommodate a good amount of people. Food is well presented and staff as well as the owner appears quite attentive. Scary thing is it's next to a pastry shop, which is so tempting post lunch to pick up an afternoon treat! (Diabetics have been warned!) Parking is also easy enough with a parking lot and street parking. Definitely not our last visit here.

I suspect that the gardens are a part of Westmead Hospital, namely because I had to wander through parts of the hospital to get here, but there is also a convenient entrance from Parramatta Park which allows access here as well. I would suggest coming in spring because that is when all the flowers are in bloom and it provides a very lovely and tranquil place to while away some time.
