Please Read HONEST Review:…read more Elizabeth gave me a call back, and her pricing was very affordable I will give her that. But her attitude was of upmost disgust. Honestly, no other way to describe her.... disgust. I was inquiring about a specific deed and she was pressuring me to do a quit claim. I mentioned to her more then once that this is not the type of deed I was looking into. Her entire tone was rude and belittling. She then decided to LIE and tell me Chicago doesn't do gift deeds. It wasn't until I mentioned that I spoke to multiple attorneys in Chicago that mentioned they do gift deeds, that she finally admitted that HER OFFICE only does quit claim deeds. Not only this but talking to her felt like I was a kid being yelled at by my parent. Her tone was unnaturally loud, unsettling, and rattled my energy. I even told her that I am just a possible customer asking questions (like anyone would) and if she could just calm her tone down with me.... She Did Not. She has a very loud pitch voice as if she's desperate for validation and business. I was immediately turned off by her entitled, I know it all, you know nothing, rudeness. Pros: cost efficient Cons: 1. rattling unsettling voice I mean gave me super anxiety to the point where I had to hang up (I'm not going to sit on the phone and take verbal abuse when I remained calm and kind) 2. Dishonest 3. Loud and definitely not a people person 4. Not a good listener 5. Very stressed out impatient energy. If she gave me this vibe over the phone imagine in person. It is clear why she only has 2 reviews. Even her photo looks very stressed as if she's forcing herself to smile. Bad Bad Vibe Steer clear of this one.

They have mediocre communication skills at best; I noted this throughout the process. And because…read moreof it, it cost me my capital gains tax savings... I told them from day one that I wanted to do a 1031 exchange. They said they were familiar with the process, and had done it before - I was reassured... But instead, I was given the name of an account I was supposed to call, who when I did call had no idea of my case, and just said we didn't need to speak with until the closing. I relayed that conversation to Fenceroy, and suggested they follow up (after all I'm paying Fenceroy to manage the closing - I'm not doing it myself). Fast forward to two days before the closing, and I haven't heard an update on the 1031 exchange - I reminded them with an email asking "How is the 1031 going? Everything in order for that?" Fenceroy then responded one day AFTER the closing - too little too late. I was no longer able to complete the 1031 exchange. Because of their negligence I cannot defer the capital gains taxes as intended, which equates to thousands of dollars. There is no repercussion to them for their mistake. I do not recommend them.

I had a terrible experience working with this attorney. Her poor communication skills, lack of…read moreknowledge, and limited understanding of the deal ultimately caused us to lose the house of our dreams. Everyone involved in the process, including my lender and my real estate agent, expressed concern about her failure to communicate the deal terms with the seller's attorney. She initially misinterpreted the deal and used confusing terms that caused the seller to consider canceling the contract. Throughout the process, she failed to communicate with us and made assumptions instead of clarifying important details. To make matters worse, she didn't even understand the type of loan we were using, my lender had to educate her about it after she had already made a major mistake. I deeply regret not acting sooner and finding someone else before the deal fell through. After hiring a new attorney, even the seller's attorney commented that they wished I had been working with my new attorney from the beginning. Unfortunately, by then it was too late. I'm extremely frustrated because this deal fell apart solely due to her failure to perform her duties properly. If you're reading this, learn from my experience, choose an attorney who communicates clearly, understands the process, and takes responsibility so your dream home doesn't slip away like mine did.
