I had a terrible experience working with this attorney. Her poor communication skills, lack of knowledge, and limited understanding of the deal ultimately caused us to lose the house of our dreams. Everyone involved in the process, including my lender and my real estate agent, expressed concern about her failure to communicate the deal terms with the seller's attorney. She initially misinterpreted the deal and used confusing terms that caused the seller to consider canceling the contract. Throughout the process, she failed to communicate with us and made assumptions instead of clarifying important details. To make matters worse, she didn't even understand the type of loan we were using, my lender had to educate her about it after she had already made a major mistake. I deeply regret not acting sooner and finding someone else before the deal fell through. After hiring a new attorney, even the seller's attorney commented that they wished I had been working with my new attorney from the beginning. Unfortunately, by then it was too late. I'm extremely frustrated because this deal fell apart solely due to her failure to perform her duties properly. TLDR; stay as FAR AS POSSIBLE from this unprofessional lawyer who is unresponsive and is not well equipped to manage house deals that are falling apart. I found Georgia through my MetLife attorney insurance policy to close on my home. Given the cost of closing, I figured I'd use this policy to save a little and assumed nothing too crazy would happen on a routine home buying. Georgia was extremely unresponsive via email or phone call and even text. My realtor tried to contact her on numerous occasions to ensure the deal was moving properly and if any issues arose could solve it prior to coming to as we are first time home buyers. Unfortunately, Georgia did not keep my realtor in the loop AND unprofessionally proclaimed to the us how she didn't like our broker. The worst part, the deal fell through ONE WEEK before closing because we missed a contingency deadline and when requesting an extension to the sellers saw it as a sign to back out of the deal. Georgia shared that this was not accurate even though the proof was in the email that we were copied in. It was a extremely stressful and upsetting given that not only were we losing the house we fell in love with but we were about to be homeless in one week as our rental lease ended. Georgia showed no compassion and completely mislead us. When my realtor attempted to save the deal, Georgia blocked my realtor from calling her. How unprofessional and immature frankly, especially given we were about to lose our livelihood. read more
