I'm extremely disappointed with how my daughter was treated today. She went to use the tanning…read moreservice that we pay for, and the machine was not working. After waiting and getting dressed, she informed the girl at the front desk, only to be told that she "finds it hard to believe' she was in there and it wasn't working. This response is completely unprofessional and disrespectful. There is absolutely no reason to assume a paying customer is lying. Situations like this should be handled with concern and customer service not accusations. We pay for these services and expect to be treated with basic respect. Comments like this are exactly how businesses lose loyal member. I hope management addresses this.

Sometimes they are in office but they are not there. At least that's what happened after I called a few times, and the receptionist would respond, "He's not here at the moment". I am charged beyond my personal training contract without going through my permission to renew. They charged me twice within the same month. After reaching out multiple times and sat with a manager at their office, no resolution. I have to go through my credit card to get the money back. Look, if it were a better experience, I wouldn't have complained. It's so discouraging and annoying. PS: I have been to other locations in the city and it is a completely different experience. I am just so disappointed.

We have been swimming with Freedom for 5 years now. Previously we swam with the YMCA on Broadway in…read moreStaten Island. But we found the classes to be overcrowded (12 students) and the kids were not learning to swim because they just didn't have enough water time or quality instructors. So we searched out a few programs and settled on Freedom. We have for the most part been pleased with the program especially their progress. They have worked on technique throughout the years including attending summer swim clinics. Although there may be one or two questionable instructors at Freedom, they have done a great job bringing in skilled coaches for their learn to swim program. These coaches are fabulous and really seem to know each student. Classes are held up n various locations depending on your level. These classes are held in Brooklyn Poly Prep, Brooklyn Sports club, Staten Island South Shore YMCA, RBYMCA (Raritan Bay NJ) and CLL aquatics Center in NJ. We really like the program and our only issue is their communication. It is consistently poor and we can't figure out why they don't get that part of their business together. For example: 1. They should have someone you can contact by phone at all times 2. Text messages are always incomplete and sends you to your mail for the remainder of the message which is often times a date. 3. The website is poorly constructed 4. The includes antiquated information as far back as 2020 5. The website is difficult to navigate and overloaded for no good reason 6. Clarity of material ordering and timeline for ordering is unclear 7. Overall their communication is really, really poor and needs a great deal of support. Having said all of this, it is a good program but could be a great program with some restructuring of their communication, website and parent outreach. The program is expensive , so you would think that the directors or the coaches would take time to meet with families at various levels at least at the beginning of each season to let them know what kids will be learning, competition information, and what parents can do to support their child. There's just important things missing that the directors need to figure out. Communication is definitely on top of the list!!!!!! I would still recommend the program as a means to getting kids on the road to becoming good swimmers.

I also walked into my first class not knowing what to expect and half-expecting to feel out of place. That feeling disappeared almost immediately. From day one, this Club Pilates studio has been welcoming, supportive, and unintimidating. The instructors -- Destiny, Michael, and Lisa -- are fantastic at explaining movements clearly, offering modifications, and meeting you where you are. I always feel challenged, but never overwhelmed or lost, which made it easy to stick with it as a beginner. I also have to give a big shoutout to El, the gym manager, who is incredibly helpful and approachable. From scheduling questions to just making sure you feel comfortable walking in the door, El really sets the tone for a studio that feels well run and genuinely supportive. I work a job that involves a lot of sitting -- long days at a desk and long hours on planes -- and Pilates has made a noticeable difference in how my body handles that. I feel stronger, less stiff, and more aware of my posture and movement in a way I honestly didn't expect. The studio is clean, calm, and thoughtfully organized, and the classes build confidence quickly, even if you've never done Pilates before. If you're a guy who's been on the fence, or anyone who spends too much time sitting and is curious about Pilates, I can't recommend this place enough. I'm really glad I gave it a shot.

The socks are required and they only had small 5 to 8 women's sizes on display. Been waiting for a long time for this location to open. I got the unlimited option because id like this to become my primary workout regimen. First 3 months $199/mo then another commitment required and the price becomes 239$/mo i think. The instructor Lisa knew her stuff. Her style was a bit militant for my taste. She softened when she saw some people needed more particular direction than others. I weightlift heavy primarily as exercise and I found this a wonderful challenge. Im very flexible which was lucky, seems there are many modifications available based on flexibility. A bit annoyed that I paid a full month and then only holiday hours are offered the month of December. Due to severe delay in opening and paying 300$ to lock in my membership almost a year ago , I might expect a complimentary December instead of paying full price for limited hours. Id have to look back at my financials a year ago to really know how much I laid out but for some reason 300/ is stickinf out to me. Some sales objections came up from clients like the parking garage cost or availability. Someone asked if they can book last minute and it sounds like these classes get signed up for fast and way ahead of time. For my membership level I can sign up for up to 10 classes ahead of time which is nice as I plan to go 5x per week . The club seems to be trying to work a deal out with the parking garage to offer discounts. Theres a bike rack in the basement of the parking garage I used which was free. Easiest way to get in is to turn right into the parking garage next to the post office on bay street and then take the elevator to floor 1 and walk around to the stairs that get you down to the club. Signage needs some work so people can more easily find the club. . Cubbies to store your belongings so you can have eyes on your things (very safe so no need for lockers). All in all Ill be a regular here so I can update my review once I hit momentum and really see how this plays out
