It's a great combination of cardio and strength, with a lot more switching than orange theory so you actually can keep your heart rate up more, and those of us without much cardiovascular endurance can push harder. It also lacks the obnoxiously in your face trainers of orange theory, which I cannot emphasize enough how much I appreciate. I might not be the best runner, but I am perfectly capable of working out as hard as I can without someone pushing my to injure myself. The instructors at tread are amazing at encouraging you to work hard and keep improving while recognising that every day isn't always our best day. The classes are a little pricey, but everyone should give this a try. It's definitely worth it.

It is a very relaxed place where you feel comfortable asking questions and you always receive great and helpful information in return! While it is a relaxed and comfortable environment, it is by no means relaxed during the workouts!!! The trainers are amazing when it comes to motivating you to get through a workout and do your best. I can't wait to do my next 6 week challenge with them. Throughout my first two 6 week challenges, I lost 60 pounds and 22.3 inches and I can honestly say I couldn't have done it without this gym!

I trained in vinyasa yoga, but welcomed the challenge of learning a new style when I was greeted with Bikram Yoga at Preservation Yoga. Everyone here (instructors and students alike) have been nothing short of amazing and incredibly helpful! I have yoga brain at the moment so forgive me if this review is a little all over the place. Tonight I took the bikram hot 90 class at 5pm and decided to stay for the new "fusion" class. Definitely a good idea! (Make sure you hydrate and rest!) The appropriately named "Fusion" class fuses poses and styles of both vinyasa and bikram yoga. It was designed perfectly! I found it to be a great mix of challenging and meditative, definitely a good class for beginners and experienced yogis alike! Everyone here is super helpful and incredibly knowledgeable about form and breath, which is crucial in any type of exercise but especially yoga (at least for myself) highly highly recommend this studio!

When I joined, I started with a fitness test to assess my mobility and talk about goals. I tried a group work out that day and loved learning some new exercises with kettlebells that I had never tried before- that's saying a lot because I've tried just about every fitness trend and many, many studios all over Baton Rouge. Virtue's method is one of a kind! I recently signed up for my second month and I've already noticed gains in my strength and muscle, from working out just 3-4x per week. The workouts are never the same, and are always perfectly challenging, but with modifications if I need them. Coaches Luke, Charlotte, and Phil are outstanding! They are so attentive and really give attention to everyone. I'm so glad I found this gym and especially love how convenient it is to my home and work.

Several of my friends go to Luke and I decided to give him a try. I'm almost three months in and I haven't felt this good in years. I was afraid to start doing exercises on my own - what would be good for my back, what would be bad? Luke works one on one with you to get your routine exactly right. There are a couple of exercises that just don't feel good on my lower back so he changed the exercise to something that won't hurt me. I have arthritis too and I have gained strength and I have less pain and tightness in my joints. I've done CrossFit for 7 years. When I showed (as an unannounced drop-in-I do admit). I waited a until the 5am was over so I didn't interrupt and the coach said he would speak to me after class. He told me they are not doing drop-ins. I offered to purchase a week. They told me NO. Another girl that was finishing her WOD piped in that she was a co-owner and they don't want drop-ins. "We just aren't doing them" I waited for my sister to arrive for the 6am class (she is a member) and told her sorry I can't work out with you. She was baffled. I emailed the owner on the website. He told me many CrossFits affiliates are not doing drop-ins "because it disrupts the classes". What I took from this is... I'm not welcome as an outsider traveling home to visit. I looked for the next closest box and found Geaux CrossFit. Geaux CrossFit was welcoming, gave me a free first class. And then I purchased a $150 punch card for sessions in the future. CrossFit BR does not want your money, nor do they want to be nice to people traveling. Save you money and go elsewhere. Also, they are a garage box. Geaux CrossFit is inside air conditioned with top notch equipment and a open gym area to work out in if you want to do you own thing. My advice. Dont Geaux near CrossFit BR. GEAUX CROSSFIT is much more welcoming.
