Preservation Yoga is a hot yoga studio in Baton Rouge originally founded as a classic 26:2 (Bikram-style) practice, built on structure, discipline, and consistency. Today, we stay true to that.
Preservation Yoga has evolved into a modern mind-body studio helping people in Baton Rouge improve strength, flexibility, mobility, and mental clarity.
Our studio offers hot yoga classes, breathwork, meditation, and recovery-focused practices designed to support joint health, posture, circulation, and nervous system regulation.
Practicing in a heated room helps increase blood flow, improve range of motion, reduce injury risk, and enhance focus—making hot yoga an effective practice for both beginners and experienced practitioners.
Students looking for hot yoga near me, Bikram-style yoga in Baton Rouge, or a structured, results-driven yoga practice come to Preservation Yoga for stress relief, improved flexibility, athletic recovery, and long-term physical resilience. Our classes emphasize breath-led movement, mindful alignment, and consistency over extreme poses.
This is not fitness-trend yoga.
It’s a science-informed approach to hot yoga in Baton Rouge, focused on preserving your body, energy, and mental performance—on and off the mat.
Whether you’re new to yoga or an experienced athlete, Preservation Yoga provides a welcoming, focused environment where strength, breath, and awareness are trained together.

Meet the Business Owner: Eric L.
Eric LaCour is the founder of Preservation Yoga and a longtime practitioner of yoga, breathwork, and mindfulness-based movement.
With a background in storytelling, photography, and coaching, Eric brings a grounded, disciplined approach to the practice—focusing on breath, presence, and longevity over performance or aesthetics.
His teaching is influenced by traditional hot yoga, meditation, martial arts, and contemplative practices, emphasizing consistency, self-awareness, and resilience.
Eric evolved Preservation Yoga as a space where people can reconnect to their bodies, connect and calm the nervous system, and build strength—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
At its core, his work is about preservation: preserving the body, the breath, and the ability to meet life with clarity and steadiness.
