I would absolutely not recommend this store, unless you like snarky, argumentative saleswomen. I walked in on vacation with intentions of purchasing the entire Mickey Mouse collection. I had previously purchased some MM pieces as a Christmas gift for someone else at a different store, fell in love with them, and wanted them for myself. Mid-browse, the Zodiac collection next to it caught my eye. I studied astrology (horoscopes, zodiac, etc.) extensively in college and continue to do so, so I was excited to see it! I was disappointed, however, that my zodiac sign didn't come with the right gemstone. (Specifically Libra; lapis lazuli. Libra can also be associated with peridot [read: chrysolite] and opal. The Libra gemstone available was clear, loosely representing an opal which is more suitable for the October Libra.) I asked the saleswoman if the gemstone charm could be swapped out. At which point she rolled her eyes and incorrectly informed me that each zodiac only has one gemstone - which is false...Libra has three. In fact, all zodiacs have multiple. I replied, "That really sucks for the September Libra's, looking for their blue gemstone." This is where it got interesting. She came over to me and firmly said, "Like I just said, each zodiac sign only has one gemstone. Zodiacs are different than just what month you're born in. There are completely different cut-off's." Now I'm THINKING, thank you ma'am, for the lesson in zodiac gemstones vs. birthstones. Can you rattle off the cut-off for each zodiac? Can you tell me each zodiac's gemstoneS, or each month's birthstone? Because I can. Mid-thought, this woman has the audacity to say in a belittling tone, "I know...it took me a while to learn too. So no, your Libra here would actually be this diamond one. Not the blue you're confusing your birthstone with." This is when I shot lasers out of my eyes, walked out, and ordered a better Libra set from Kendra Scott (who has interchangeable charms, by the way.) I'd rather purchase the MM pieces from my pleasant salesmen/women back home in Chicago. read more
