Working with Doug and Rachel was an exceptional experience from start to finish. They are professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely dedicated to their clients' needs. They are the best real estate team around! I especially appreciated their honesty and lack of pressure; they always gave us space to make the right decisions based on our needs, while offering thoughtful insight and thorough research to guide us. Their extensive network of trusted connections was an added bonus that made the process so much easier. Doug and Rachel go above and beyond for their clients, and it shows in everything they do. Rachel and Doug did an amazing job with the sale of our house. We knew they were the top agents in the community in Irvine so our expectations were very high. Nevertheless, they managed to exceed all of our expectations. We were very pleased with their professionalism, market knowledge, work ethic, and integrity. They sold our house at a record price and in record time during a very challenging time. We strongly recommend hiring their team and would love to work with them again in the future. read more

I have known Rachel Swardstrom from her involvement with the community and my children's school. However, my first professional interaction with the Swardstrorms Group was when our friends sold their home. Our friends were overseas, so they wanted my help to organize their house. I was so impressed during that process to watch the Swardstroms execute the sale and purchase for someone not present in the country. Many years later, I naturally gravitated toward the Swardstroms when selling our home. In the back of my mind, I remembered the extremely friendly and professional impression they left. I cannot express enough how grateful I am for their support throughout the entire process. Rachel and Doug were professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping us achieve a successful sale. Their motivation is the joy they bring to the buyers and sellers. Under their guidance we had our home staged beautifully. With their expert marketing techniques, our home's listing attracted numerous potential buyers. The process was smooth from the start because of honesty and open communication. Thanks to the Swardstrom's hard work and dedication, my home sold quickly at a price it deserved, to the nicest new owners. I highly recommend Swardstrom Group to anyone looking to buy or sell a home. Their commitment to their clients and exceptional service truly set them apart. Thank you, Rachel and Doug, for making this most critical transition in my life so wonderful and smooth. And most of all not just being good real estate agents but genuine friends to us! read more

This is the second time we've used Rachel and Doug to sell our home. Their team provided us with exceptional service from start to finish. They knew we were hoping for a quick close and they delivered a sale for us in record time, for well above our asking price. They are the best real estate agents with an outstanding team. Great communication, great ideas, terrific attitude, easy to work with, so professional - can't say enough good things about them. Thank you, Rachel and Doug! read more

I have had only one experience with the Swardstrom group, and I'm still waiting for a resolution from them. Oddly you'd think not much can go wrong with a house showing but the issue at hand was so serious I simply cannot let go of the failure of this organization to own up and handle. Not only was this serious, there is still zero accountability even after admitted fault and wrongdoing by Rachel. I truly hope that the firm and Rachel will find a solution to their errors or judgement and fix the situation once and for all. Oddly enough I actually decided for a while to be flexible. I thought given how seemingly nice Rachel was. I could work with her and the Swardstrom group. Unfortunately, this proved not to be the case and instead both Rachel and the other owner Doug, felt they would capitalize on my flexibility. While this matter could be made legal, I've still chosen not to sue or file police reports for the major issue Rachel caused. Hopefully someday they will find their morale compass and make things right the way they should have on day one. read more

Our family was looking to purchase our first home this year and we had no idea where to begin. Our friends connected us with Rachel and Doug and they promptly set up a meeting with us to help guide us on this journey. They invested in my wife, daughter and I, getting to know our story and what we cared about to help inform them on what aspects of a house aligned with our values and desires. Rachel curated a consistent flow of homes to show us and continued to refine her search after each home we toured together. We asked silly questions constantly and Rachel and team met us with grace and educated us along the way. When we finally found the home we wanted to place on offer on we were given so much guidance on the step by step process to be successful. Once our offer was accepted the team at the Swardstrom Group went into overdrive advocating for my family at every turn. They helped us get the absolutely best deal we could and we are now moved into our beautiful home where we will be able to watch our daughter grow up. Words cannot describe how grateful my family is for all of the help. If six stars was an option that is what we would give. Rachel, Doug, and everyone at the Swardstrom Group are best in class. read more

We met Rachel during a couple of open houses from time to time. Each time we talked. We can feel extremely friendly. This time once we saw this beautiful house, we considered Rachel as our trusted representative right away. It was a very pleasant experience for our entire process. By this opportunity we can further see that both Rachel and Doug are very heartly, helpful, thoughtful and professional. During the process we had our own tight working schedule on the road, they can work things out so efficiently. We realized that we are so lucky to get help from the top-notch experts. We really appreciated the time working together with Rachel and Doug. read more

Rachel and Doug have rightfully earned their prestige as being some of the best in the real estate business, especially for serving Irvine's Quail Hill community. My wife and I have had the pleasure of working with them for both the purchase and the sale of our first home, and feel so fortunate for their calming support and guidance throughout these new experiences. They have a wealth of knowledge and compassion for the communities they serve, and express tremendous care for the people they meet. It's evident in our interactions how important it is for them to find the right home for the right people, and vice versa. I highly recommend Rachel and Doug for anyone's real estate needs. Their expertise in the market trends and thoughtfulness are such admirable traits that make working with them so easy. We wish them continued success! read more

Dough and Rachael are so wonderful and they are expert on marketing and sales. When we were selling our house we were not in the states, but we managed to communicate well on WeChat everyday, and they helped us sell the house in a very good price by hosting several open house parties, posting videos on YouTube, sending fliers to the neighborhoods, etc, and they made the selling process so smoothly by preparing everything ahead. We are so grateful that we found them as our sales agent, and the selling price for our house broke the record in Quill Hill. If you have a house in Irvine, Newport, Laguna, go for them! I am sure that you will be happy that your house can be sold in a remarkable price! Also I would like to thank the great work done by Sandra and they made a great team to put everything together and pay attention in detail. We first found Rachel & Doug by researching sales in our neighborhood and making a list of who historically had record sales. When meeting with them, they distinguished themselves with their expertise, positive energy, and down to earth personalities (the latter does not seem to be common in this business). Once hired, Rachel & Doug made it simple by taking care of practically everything through their network of stagers, contractors, and photographers. Their skills compliment each other well, and tag-team well. They also have really great senses of humor and are fun to work with. While our transaction had a few unexpected plot twists, Rachel & Doug were able to use their skills/relationships to get it done. Our sale exceeded all expectations and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out. As one piece of advice, I'd encourage clients to discuss communication frequency in advance, as everyone is different. I'm used to a substantial amount of communications from service providers due to my line of work, and I would have preferred more frequent updates from the team. That said, I never shared those preferences in advance so I can't fault them for not being mind readers. Or for not sensing that I am inherently a worrier. All and all, Rachel & Doug are highly recommended. I would work with them again in a heartbeat! read more

I am a current buyer in the market and knew Rachel Swardstrom as a seller's agent for a house I am interested in. I am putting my review here as a feedback. I met Rachel, for a house showing in Irvine and found her unprofessional and rude. She has a bad attitude and bad communication. After several texts and unanswered phone calls, I showed up for the house showing and she found out she has a meeting at the same time so she decided to cancel the showing. I don't recommend dealing with her. read more

We are so glad and grateful to have been able to work with the Swardstrom Group in purchasing our first home together. We had a great experience working with Chris, Rachel and Dough! Chris helped us find our perfect home and represented and supported us during the process of buying our home, which was like a breeze. Working with the Swardstrom Group made everything seamless. They are exceptionally knowledgable, professional, responsive and caring! Rachel and Doug also helped us lease our condo and find a well fit tenant within just a few days in the holiday season!! We had the support of their entire team. Sandra was also very supportive and responsive and took care of even the small details for us, as we were really busy and occupied with moving during that time. First of all, I would like to mention that Rachel and Doug have helped us lease our home before we decided to sell it. They really did patiently went through every little problem with us and the tenant, and we are deeply appreciate all of their efforts and professionalism. Our experience with Rachel and Doug was just awesome, my brother Hex and I couldn't thank them enough for helping us sell our home in California while both me and my brother living in Arizona. Rachel and Doug were kind, courteous and very easy to work with. Their customer service is unmatched, they really took their time in explaining all the details. In our case it wasn't easy at all, that we weren't local when we decided to sell our home. However, Rachel and Doug were able to match our specific situation and needs and made it all very smooth. We were blown away by their knowledge and talent for negotiation and we couldn't be more pleased with how things turned out. We are incredibly grateful that we chose Rachel and Doug to list the house. read more

Rachel and Doug Swardstrom are truly best in class. In a matter of just a couple of weeks, they were able to lease our Newport Coast house. Prior to working with them, we had worked with another realtor who was unable to get the job done given double the time. Additionally, Rachel and Doug got the job done in the month of November, which is a very difficult time of the year. Some key difference makers that separate Rachel and Doug from other realtors we have worked with in the past: 1) They return calls in a timely manner. No leads or inquiries went unanswered. 2) They go all out during open houses and even provide lunch to visitors. 3) They waste no time in forwarding applications for our review, they do not drag their feet. 4) They were well spoken and demonstrate excellent understanding of the housing market. 5) They are honest and work with integrity. 6) They didn't cut any corners- photos and 3D walkthrough were nicely done. 7) Their contract is very reasonable. There is no questionable verbiage that made me uncomfortable. 8) Their commission splits are more than fair, and frankly below what other realtors have quoted us. After interviewing and working with several realtors, I am grateful to have found the cream of the crop. For all my real estate needs, I will certainly be going through Rachel and Doug, not just for the peace of mind of knowing how rock solid they are but for knowing they are results oriented and make it look easy when it is not. read more

We were thrilled to partner with the Swardstrom Group again on the purchase of our dream home. They not only successfully sold our last home for record price in July but they also found the perfect home in the perfect location for our family 2 months later. We had the best experience working with Rachel, Doug and Chris and their team. They made the buyer process fun, easy and personalized. They took the time to listen to what we were hoping for in a new home, location and community and found us exactly what we were dreaming of. Rachel & Doug are area specialists (as well as homeowners) in the neighborhood that I recently sold a home in. 2022 has been a tricky year in this real estate market, one with lots of change occurring for both sellers and buyers. I am glad that I used the Swardstrom Group to list this property, they are particularly good at marketing the product and ensuring the entire process is managed smoothly. It took sweat, which they definitely contributed to, but the job got done and all parameters were met, thanks to their full-service team. Rachel and Doug Swardstrom of The Swardstrom Group did an amazing job helping us sell our home in 2019. But before I get into what they did, I think it's important for you to know that these two (and their associates) are kind people, they are very patient with however many questions you have...the are the kind of friends you'd want to have over for dinner. On the business side of things, Rachel and Doug took the time to research our neighborhood, share relevant information on selling strategies and gave us prudent advice in the sales process and timing. They made sure they were available to us, meeting with us on many occasions and staying connected via phone calls, emails and texts. Rachel and Doug did a great job getting our house on the market with professional staging, photography, videos and on the most relevant websites to help drive interest. The first week they did a grand opening party showing which was lively and fun, followed by open houses and many private showings while still taking into consideration the disruption it can be in their clients lives. All their hard work resulted in an offer in the first month on the market and a strong close very close to our asking price. My wife and I can't recommend them highly enough!!! read more

It was great experience to work with Rachel and Doug! We already went to see some open houses in Irvine and San Marino. We met Rachel in an open house and this house is the one we fell in love with. Rachel was so patient and passionate, I told her I had some questions and concerns since I am new to California. They invited us to their office and the escrow office later that week, Everything got well-explained there. Rachel and Doug (and their team)helped us with patience and profession. They always wanted to make sure we understand each step of the process. Now I am enjoying the new home, Rachel, Doug and their team are still assisting us. They are so reliable and professional, everything went through very smoothly. Moreover, they are great and nice people, they have strong reputation here. Doug and Rachel did a fantastic job for us- both in helping us buy our dream home, and in selling our old home. They gave great advice, and were friendly, and kept us informed the whole way. For buying, they helped us craft an offer that was creative and stood out from the crowd. And for selling, they helped coordinate the remodel of our house! The helped arrange contractors to do flooring, paint, and staging- all within two weeks of the decision to do it. The had an open house with live music. The house sold within 2 days. Rachel and Doug Swardstrom came highly recommended to us from a "friend of a friend" and we knew the minute we met with them that they would sell our home and they did within a couple of weeks. We sold during what I think is a difficult time due to Covid and no open houses but that wasn't the case. They had lots of showings and were always mindful of safety to both the home owner and the potential buyers coming in. Rachel guided us through the process and always stayed calm and was very professional. She will tell you "I'm working for you" and she definitely goes the distance and won't let you down. We had previously listed our home with a different realtor and that wasn't the case. Rachel and Doug are a pleasure to work with and we couldn't imagine having anyone else sell our home. read more

Rachel and Doug are truly gifted at selling real estate. Upon meeting them for the first time, I was impressed at their level of interest, their energy, and their passion for their craft. I recall reaching out via email on Saturday at 10pm, and we were meeting by Sunday morning. From the discussions over the strategy for listing price, to staging, to general helpfullness with local vendors and providers, Rachel & Doug & their team did a great job. They actually made the process so straightforward & stress free that I was left wondering if it really could be this easy! Our sale went through very smoothly without any issues. Rachel and Doug also have great feel & connection to the local agents & community. That type of experience and savvy is very important when choosing the right people to sell your home. It's in part why we chose them. Rachel and Doug got my home sold in the first few days on the market. They understand what sells and how to sell. We had multiple offers over ask, and we accepted the strongest bid which went off without a hitch. They had worked with the buyer's broker before and had a strong understanding of how to work things out for everyone's best interest. I could say more but you get the point. Hire them because they are pros at what they do and very nice people as well. Thanks to all at the Swardstrom Group! read more

We made it easy to sell our home. We told Doug and Rachel that they could only list the home for 2 weeks and have 2 open house events. In addition, we required that they sell the house for a premium over the homes in our neighborhood (we were convinced we were NOT going to sell). However, Doug and Rachel presented two offers that met this criterion and closed the home in 30 days. They were magnificent in their support, negotiations and overall communication. They focus on every detail of the transaction and presented absolutely NO surprises! That was very important to us. Finally, even after the sale, they continued to support us as well as the new buyers to make sure that everyone continued to feel great about the transaction. Doug & Rachel stand out as truly exceptional Real Estate agents. We had the pleasure of selling our home in Irvine with them in March of 2021 and they were also the same agents that listed the home that we purchased years ago. They've always been known to us to be amongst the top agents in Irvine and Newport Beach and after doing business with them it isn't hard to understand why. They are sharp marketers, knowledgeable about contracts/real estate law, have an amazing team behind them, and most importantly they're good people that are always pleasant to deal with. The emotion involved in buying and selling a home shouldn't be discounted and they are extremely good about managing expectations, meeting deadlines, and working towards a successful transaction while keeping a pleasant positive attitude for their buyers and sellers under what can at times be stressful conditions. The Swardstrom are solid professional RE agents and good to work with. Doug and Rachel recently sold our high-end home in Irvine at a record price for the community and less than 2 months from listing to close. They provided a lot of assistance and had good contacts to help prep our home for listing. The marketing was superb, from professional photography and videos to advertising and holding Open House. During purchase negotiation and through escrow, there were few tenuous periods, but Doug and Rachel persistence and composure helped us work through the differences with the buyer.
