During my first visit, Dr. Shakouri was very dismissive of the fact that my profession as an airline pilot strictly limits which medications I am allowed to take. Despite my repeated concerns and the FAA medication restrictions, he continued to push for a "large dose" of an allergy medication until I finally said, "I would rather not." I was later scheduled for allergy skin testing and a sinus CT scan. The front desk provided written instructions, which I followed exactly. Those instructions also clearly stated that I would be contacted in advance with pricing if my insurance did not cover the tests. That never happened. On the day of the appointment, I was unexpectedly told I owed $300 for the allergy testing (which I reluctantly agreed to) and $150 for the sinus CT scan (which I declined). I expressed my frustration to Dr. Shakouri, after which he issued a refund, and I chose to terminate care with this office. Overall, this was a very frustrating and unprofessional experience. Poor communication, disregard for occupational medical restrictions, and irresponsible front office practices. I now have to start the entire process over again elsewhere. I do not recommend this practice. EDIT: Just in case it gets deleted, Denise K (business owner) commented below: "It's sad patients can say anything they want on social media whether it's true or not" My response to Denise K. whom accurately proves my point about this allergy clinic: What's actually sad is dismissing legitimate patient concerns by implying they're untrue, rather than addressing them professionally. My review reflects my firsthand experience as a patient and the interaction I had in your office. If any part of it were inaccurate, a respectful clarification would be appropriate -- not a blanket attempt to discredit patients for speaking publicly. Considering I have to wait after 30 min an allergy shot, this is rude and downright torture. I even asked if I could wait in my car as was told no. So patients are required to listen to biased drivel. Why do they even need a TV? Everyone has a phone? Just cruel and pointless.

I then called the doctor and left a message to find out why she was putting me on tile rx. I waited 4 days and called back, left a message again. NO CALL BACK. Then I got a referral to a ENT. Again , I have no idea what the doctor saw on my CT scan that I was being referred out. That is not how you instill confidence in a doctor by not communicating with the patient. I'm glad I got the referral because I had decided to never go back.

I reviewed different podiatrists in my area and found good reviews about Doctor Marciano. I went in for an appointment and was so glad I did. The X-ray's showed that the first procedure was a 'mess' (my term) and after speaking with Dr Marciano, I was very reassured and confident that he was the best podiatrist to put my trust in. Yes, I had a 'redo' surgery and it was so very worth it. Dr Marciano lived up to every word he said and more. I know that he worked hard in surgery as the results were better than I expected. I recommend Dr Marciano to anybody who is looking for a podiatrist who's standards are above the norm. And I also received flowers from him and the staff. The two young women at the front desk were unfriendly and didn't smile or acknowledge me warmly. To make matters worse, the person who checked me out after my visit overcharged me by nearly $100 and argued with me about my insurance coverage. I'm still waiting on my refund! There were other issues as well, but I'll leave it at that. I genuinely hope my experience was not the "norm" for this clinic. While I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, I won't be returning.

Additionally, there was no waiting in the office, which is unheard of! Dr. Sherry Barnett is a down to earth expert who spent so much time going over the plan to control my son's asthma. She spent a lot of time asking detailed questions and we never felt rushed at all during the visit. I feel very confident and safe in her plan of care for my son.
