By far, the worst customer service experience I've ever had. Avoid this business like the plague!

Invoice number 11664 It's been over two years and $1860 i have very hard time to get hold of them(Andy the owner and.....) the ECM worked but it would not recognize the Tcm I sent them back over three months ago and called them over 100 times the few times they answered they said it's ready to be sent but they never did? I have proof for all of those.if you want to waste your money and get nothing but headaches then deal with them!!!!!!!!! read more

These guys are a joke, paid $1250 for a LS swap harness. Its been two months, they won't return phone calls or emails. At this point, I'm considering them thieves. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! read more

Stole my customers ecm and engine harness...had me hip them to him to "diagnose" a communication issue...never aw my stuff..or got this thief to answer the phone again...had it 7 month as of 6-26-26 read more

Clearly paid for the computer, whoever shipped the item checked the box saying computer included, but Never included the computer. I have texted. Called and email, no response. Filed a complaint thru PayPal and hopefully that can help resolve the issues. Haven't tested the hardness so I'm not sure about the quality yet, but customer service sucks so bad. I am hoping I get the computer and also the item works properly. So far, I will not recommend them at all. read more

So Andy let me know that is way too far behind to be able to get me the systematic of the harness sold to my installer. Glad he has so much business. Sad that some wiring issues will not get resolved. read more

I work for a shop that has used this company They don't respond to emails. I have been unable to leave a voicemail. I have issues with the harness including wires that are too short. Parts i specically asked for were not included. There is some random wires with no description. And no pin chart for the whole harness. This company has been very unhelpful after the purchase of this harness. It took over six weeks to get the harness in the first place. read more

They don't respond to emails. Their switch board for phone calls is messed up and i haven't been able to leave a voicemail. I have issues with the harness including VSS and transmission pressure sensor is too short. There is no speed signal for a speedo connection which i specifically asked for. There is some random yellow wire with no description. And no pin chart for the whole harness. This company has been very unhelpful after sending this harness. It took over six weeks to get the harness in the first place. read more

called in and left a message the first day. they responded but left me a voicemail and didn't address my questions in my voicemail. For 2 weeks I called back in and left several messages, sent text messages and emails with no response. read more

Please don't order from them. They will lie, delay and not deliver! And please let me start with, I have a 5,000 square foot shop where we restore classic cars, and I've been doing this for about 50 years, so I know what I'm talking about and what to expect. So here goes... I ordered an engine wiring harness, ECU programming and a new TCU. Simple enough. But after weeks and weeks of delays I finally got an email saying my order was ready for shipment. I called to make sure everything was in the box and that they had done all they were supposed to, because it had been so long and I started seeing bad reviews from other sources. I was assured I had a complete and tested wiring harness to my specs, a programmed ECU and a new TCU, and that it was all packed and on the way. As you have likely surmised by now, they lied. Several WEEKS LATER (after already waiting months), I opened the box, it was a wiring harness that wasn't complete (not labeled as they had said nor correctly set up), and there was NO TCU/TCM. I called over and over, sent numerous emails and finally after many tries got in touch with the owner, Andy, who gave me his direct number and admitted the problem and said he would send the TCU out the next day. I thought he was telling the truth. Well it never happened! I called and emailed repeatedly again and he must have blocked my number because he never again answered the phone, never answered an email and never sent my purchased items, not to mention he never supported the install of the un-labeled, incorrect wiring harness or the did the setup of my ECU. A total scam and waste of nearly $2,000, and I have the email and phone records to prove it. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEY PROMISE AND DON'T DELIVER OR SUPPORT THEIR PRODUCT! And as far as I'm concerned, they're thieves. read more

I'm so mad I didn't see this page before I did business with this guy. Luckily I haven't paid him - but I sent him an engine harness from a customer's car - after weeks and a couple "just needs testing" excuses later he finally just straight up stopped answering calls or emails and I'm out of a harness. There's a reason this guy has no google listing. This is a straight up scam artist. read more

No customer service if any issues. Was sold a harness that was for a older LS and now I have to buy parts to make it work

Andy and his team are complete garbage. They lie, cheat and steal. DON'T believe ANYTHING they may tell you. You WON'T receive your order, or it wont work, or it will be incomplete. They will send you lies, say it has shipped, fake tracking numbers, etc. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS TRASH COMPANY. ANY positive review you may see on here is most likely one of his people telling lies. STAY FAR AWAY!! read more

SWAP GARBAGE I don't know how this piece of shit is still in business. He is a con artist. He will answer and accept new orders and tell u that it will be about 8-12 weeks to get your order started. Months go by and he then will answer the phone and give you some made up story about some funeral or unfortunate experience he had so that your order gets delayed. I think he buys time so that the credit card company will try to refuse you a refund because you took too long to cancel or claim fraud. He did send me half of my order which will not work without the other half. He kept claiming he would send it next week, that was one long week, 2 months later. I got tired of his empty promises so I filled a claim. This was only to find out that the computer he said he tuned had nothing done to it. Just a stupid sticker with his company name (swap garbage). I did finally receive a full refund from my credit company for the trash he sent me. This guy doesn't know what he is doing, and can probably only program a tv remote. STAY AWAY FROM THIS MORON IF YOU DONT WANT TO WASTE TIME ON YOUR BUILD. read more

Stay away from this company. Andy a lier and crook. Andy said would be getting a new harness and never delivered, he confirmed my harness had arrived and that the company would start working on it asap. Got one part of the harness and nothing is correct. Never received the second part. Send the first back to them. That is SWAP shit. It's almost 5 months and you cannot contact anyone, but a voice note. I'm still trying to get my refund from this company. Nothing but lies from them. Please stay away from Swap Specialties. This is SWAP SPECIALTIES TRASH. Wish they had a zero star. read more

if there was less than one star I would give it that!! I wish I would have read the reviews before buying from them. if you have an issue which you will good luck because you will never get ahold of anyone for support. waste of time and money read more

Their customer service is almost non existent! Do not purchase from this company. I've put in orders and they do not send out the orders.

Ordered a engine harness and trans controller and harness. After months and months of waiting. I got the engine harness no trans controller or harness. The engine harness was incomplete. He also kept my PCM. After trying to contact him by phone ,email numerous times. No response. I contacted the local PD and told me they have gotten complaints about him but cannot do anything. Ended up buying my trans controller and harness form Sound German. He told me he had to contact him and tell him to stop saying he carries his product. I had to open the new harness and add wiring and change pinouts. I had to buy another PCM an buy the trans controller and harness directly from Sound German. If you are going to order a harness I recommend Hot Wire They went over and above to help figure out what I needed to do to finally get my vehicle running. If I had to do it over I would go with them. Oh yea, I'm out a few thousand dollars read more

Andy promised a new harness and never delivered, he confirmed my harness had arrived and that the company would start working on it asap, its almost 3 months and this person has not contacted me at all, looking at the reviews i feel foolish for even trusting this guy or whatever he might identify as, when he did reply was when I told him of all the negative reviews and he just emailed back as if he was offended on that note he did get hurt lol like if he had done me no wrong, anyways know I am without a harness and no reply from this person, don't do business with them you will highly regret it, I wish I had looked at the reviews before sending him the harness, lessons learned right here, never trust someone who clearly is a scam artist and does not care of a law suit no wonder he has the LLC to protect his back, don't do business with him you've been warned read more

I started my jeep swap project over 1 year ago. I received my wiring harness last August from them. I then sent my throttle body control to them in September. I am still waiting a full year later for my controller. Endless phone calls, endless messages left. Talked with support multiple times and was told my controller was on the table ready to ship. I even received an email confirmation in April with a UPS tracking number for it to be canceled the following day. I wouldn't suggest buying anything from them unless you have 4 thousand dollars and plenty of time to waste. read more

Worst experience I've ever had the misfortune to endure. Andy, the owner and only person that works there, makes you believe there are a lot of employees and the company is so busy with all the orders they are working on it takes time to get back to all their customers questions. He leads you on with excuses and fake shipping tracking numbers until eventually ghosting you altogether. He takes your money and hopes you give up trying to get it back. Google his reviews and you will see for yourself . Stay away from this jerk. read more

HORRIBLE PERSON AND BUSINESS OWNER!!! I have no idea how this guy is still in business. He quickly took my money and took his sweet time about sending my harness. When it came (3 weeks after he said I would get it) it was the wrong harness. I have called and left DOZENS of messages and too many emails to count and he has completely ghosted me. He has no ethics or conscience. I truly wish I had come to YELP before even calling him. I live in California so can't represent myself in Michigan so I have contacted an attorney who will be representing me and will be taking him to small claims court. Probably cost me more than he stole from me but it will be worth it to make him appear in court. read more

STAY AWAY!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! At this point I'm filing a police report for theft.. CRAZY I know! After we sent everything in March, Paid, our calls and emails would never be answered again! Now we are in Mid-July and I emailed from my business email to ask if they were open... WOW KATRINA said YES, but then never replied again after figuring out who we were. Last email from them was 6/24 and "family emergency" and no response since then or even 10 emails before. Have left 20-30 voicemails since and called over 100 times. Emailed over 30 times as well I wish we would have researched the reviews online before, now our customer is ready to walk and we are out of pocket and parts! They have cost us THOUSANDS of dollars in this build. THEY ARE A JOKE! (Pics below are of just my personal emails in the last week to try to contact someone... Harness looks great. I installed it, injector 5 wasn't working. At the pcm it was in slot 74 instead of 47. I have 2 current issues but I can't blame them unless I find the issue is with the harness. The injector issue pushed my project back 2 weeks alone. Contacting them by phone? Don't bother. Email? They answer anywhere from within 1hour to SEVERAL days. I bummed i ignored the reviews. I spent $1126 for my extended harness and have been tracking issues with it for 2 weeks. I've spent a couple hundred in replacing engine parts because intrusted this harness. Ordered a wiring harness and components to do a swap in Jan,2020. No parts by March,2020. Canceled order and asked for refund. No response. Filed with credit card company and when credit card company contacted Swap Specialties they sent a partially completed wiring harness but no other parts and gave the shipping label to the credit card company. Since the credit card company has a shipping label, they are no help. Based on these posts and the BBB complaints, this is normal for this company. I have an attorney willing to take on this company if I can get enough people to join a class action to make it worth while. Wish I knew of some way of getting us all in contact. read more

In August of 2023, I contracted with Swap Specialties for a job on a vehicle, I sent the vehicle from Georgia to Michigan where they informed me that they would only have the vehicle for 3 to 4 weeks max, After 7 months I had to send and pick up my vehicle, I paid them $2500 to pick the veh up, when it got back to Georgia it was in worse shape than when I sent it to them and the computer was missing, Andy said, "oh yeah, when I tried to jump the vehicle off it shorted out the computer" and he had me another one ordered and it would be to me within a week, that was over 4 weeks ago and now they will not even respond to phone calls or emails. This company did nothing but lie from the very first time I spoke with them. I now they have ghosted me. Needless to say I , nor my customer are happy at all. I know that filing a complaint does me no good, but maybe it will help someone else in the future. All I want is what I was promised, a functioning computer that will crank and run my vehicle. Worthless POS... DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMANY. I purchased a LML Standalone harness from Andy Betz(the CEO of swap specialties). After paying for my harness ($2400) all of my calls were screened and emails were unanswered. I sent Andy a screen shot of my plane ticket after 3 months of being ignored. Almost immediately I got a response back saying my harness had shipped but he was having tuning issues with my ECM and TCM. He was going to reflash them and send them later that week. Well that was 6 months ago and I haven't heard from him or Katrina since. Countless emails and voicemails have been left. I have contacted BBB and the attorney general is checking into this as well. If all else fails and I don't get anything I figured out then I'll be hiring an attorney. Do yourself a favor and stay far far away from these thief's. read more

Let me start by saying I'm a nice and understanding guy I don't typically leave bad reviews I'm a business owner to and I know what that means but I could literally just copy any one of the other bad reviews and repost it and that would be my experience the only difference is I'm the one dumb enough to give them nine months yes! nine months worth of time to do the right thing and send me my computer. Because of coronavirus I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and some extra time but after literally hundreds of phone calls not answered emails text messages and any other form of communication I could think of they refuse to respond to me the couple of times I did get someone on the phone I had to call from other peoples phone numbers they promised me it was either being shipped that day or the next day several times and yet here we are nine months later I'm still out $1700 and the computer I sent to them. Not only is this extremely disappointing to me staring at a $100,000 car that just needs a computer for almost a year but magazines, Youtubers, bloggers etc. that would've happily promoted swap specialties products not to mention 100 more kits we probably would've purchased that's almost $200,000 that this company just lost from me. read more

I wish I had checked reviews prior to placing my order. Swap Specialties received my harness and ECM on December 10th. I have emailed them and called them. I had a friend call from a different number and they texted him back. It is February 7th almost 2 months later and I still can't get them to answer me. They confirmed receipt of my harness and ECM on December 10th and promptly charged my credit card on December 14th. read more

I have been writing and calling this company for weeks with ZERO replies. I ordered a ECM and harness over $800.00 and it did not work and after 2 weeks of trying to get it to work Finally Andy answered the phone and said to return it for credit This was 6 weeks ago and now my calls don't get picked picked up. They must screen calls. to make matters worse the system he sold me was dumping raw fuel in cylinders and has cracked an oil ring the engine has to be totally rebuilt now and I cant afford it. got screwed big time and all Andy had to do was answer phone for tech support when we were trying to get it going before damage was done. Poor tech support I think I need to go there to collect the monies owed read more

Custom wiring is hard work, I have purchased many products from these guys and every time they have pulled through for me. They take time but their wiring products are top notch. read more
