Most of the time we use a branch closer to our home but this branch is convenient if you have errands to run in the 377 area in Watauga. After getting a little money, I was headed out the door when a gentleman (Cergio) asked if I was interested in saving money on my Chevy's loan. I told him my Chevy was paid for but we bought a new Cadillac a few months prior and I had been trying to get that loan over to EECU with zero luck. In fact, I had been told they were 90+ days behind and were not working to refinance loans very much. I was shocked when the people at our home branch had told me this. All previous experiences with EECU had been great in terms of incentive, speed, service, etc.... I had always found everyone very helpful and responsive so this lagging lengthy display was a new experience. I asked Cergio if he was serious and if he could get the loan switched over within a few weeks. He told me he felt that was exactly what he would do. I spent few minutes getting him our details, exchanging emails and phone numbers and off I went curious as to how this would progress. I had applied four months prior at our branch but was told they could t help us for months. Within 2-3 weeks, Cergio got our loan refinanced, saved us some money with a lower rate and had the loan closed. Everyone around me is buying houses, getting nice cars, buying nice things - and there I was feeling hopeless and trying to come to terms with how careless I was and feeling like I'll never get the same opportunities as others because of my mistakes. I got denial after denial. Then I started trying to figure out a way to just start paying everyone off - that has to help my score right? Then, hopefully one day, I too could have nice things One day I was scrolling my phone and I came across an ad for a credit repair program. "We can help - don't let bad credit keep you from blah blah blah." I clicked it. Within seconds, I remembered why I never click those things. For the hell of it, I started reading reviews, trying to figure out if anyone has ever truly had a good experience with these people. Nope, just as I had assumed, REAL people had nothing positive to say. "They just take your money, my score never changed." "It's just a money pit, based on empty promises." About 2 pages into the reviews, some random dude posted about his experience with The Phenix Group. No one else was talking about this place. I looked up reviews for TPG and there was not a LOT, however, the ones that were there were GOOD ones. Nothing negative! So, I sent my info. What did I have to lose...if they end up being like everyone else I'll forget it and just move on, continuing to be depressed about my poor credit and the limitations it has brought me. Then came BRIAN QUINN. I'll be honest, during my 1st phone conversation with him, I was waiting for the part where he'd give some bogus spiel, ask for my money and then I'd hang up on him. But this wasn't the case! For once, I felt like I had a chance to get out of this hole I was in. From the start, Brian Q. was brutally honest - advising me that TPG can't help everyone and that once my credit report was reviewed, if he felt that in any way he wouldn't be able to help, he wouldn't go any further with me. Who wouldn't appreciate this honesty?! Now here we are, EXACTLY seven months from when Brian Q. first introduced himself to me via email, and working with him has been one of the best choices I have ever made. The initial deposit was doable and the monthly fee, even more doable. I felt like I was on the right track again and was working with someone who I COULD actually trust to look out for my best interests. Brian Q. has kept it real from day one, explaining to me the reality of how things might go and always taking the time to break things down for me in a way I can understand. He is on top of everything and I mean everything - nothing gets by him. I don't know how he does it. He is always available and is so proficient and timely. The best part is talking to him is just like holding a casual conversation with a friend. He is a genuine guy putting his knowledge of credit towards helping real people in real life situations. Not once have I felt pressured to do something I didn't completely understand or wasn't comfortable with. Brian Q. is "That Credit Dude" that EVERYONE needs as a friend. I was introduced to Brian Q. in Jan of this year (2019) and it's now August and my FICO alone has increased by 100 points. For someone coming from where I was initially, this is AMAZING. It gives me hope! What resonates with me the most is that I was originally, before meeting Brian Q., trying to devise a plan to pay off all my debt collectors. But Brian Q. was quick to tell me right off the bat that doing so wouldn't make a difference and my score wouldn't have magically jumped to great. I would've walked myself right into a bigger, "broker" hole. Thanks to Brian Q. I now see the light at the end of this tunnel. Best part - my program ISN'T EVEN OVER YET. I am so excited to see where this takes me! Working with Brian Q., hands down the best choice I ever made; working with TPG in general, best money I've ever invested.

TLDR: The Tuttle Group utterly astounded us with an effortless, friendly, speedy, and (believe it…read moreor not) FUN refinance as self-employed individuals when no one else wanted to help. We decided to refinance our home to make some improvements and clear out some high-interest debt. We assumed (erroneously) that our credit union, which had held the current mortgage for 15 years plus our bank accounts and car notes, and a flawless history of payments with them, would have no trouble refinancing us, even though we are now self-employed, and making 3x what we made when they initially approved us. ***WRONG!!!*** After literally MONTHS of asking for documents, changing rates, long delays waiting for info from underwriting, and unanswered questions, we finally abandoned them in search of unconventional financing routes. We looked specifically for brokers in the area who specialize in self-employed people, and found a few. Some seemed a bit "green," some sounded less than friendly or just weren't interested in a smaller refi. But Tatiana with the Tuttle Group was super friendly when she reached out, and helped us arrange a video consultation with Andy Tuttle, the wizard of the Tuttle Group. During the 30 minutes that Andy spoke with us, it was like a crash course in financial planning. Everything he said made so much sense, and we learned more about mortgage refinancing than MONTHS of online research and questions we had asked to our credit union. Andy was up-front and told us that our best option might, indeed, be to go with the offer our credit union had finally extended, and that he might not be able to beat it. Still, he took the time to explain how refinancing in this "terrible Fed-rate" era could be financially advantageous to us, and told us to check once more with our credit union to see their final terms and if they were still locked in. I was astounded that he would take that kind of time to talk to a customer he likely wouldn't get any money from. We decided to proceed with the Tuttle Group, even if they couldn't offer us a better rate, simply because it was a PLEASURE dealing with them, they treated us like family, and everything Andy said made such good sense. Throughout the 2-ish weeks that ensued, their awesome mortgage gal Annie checked in with us regularly to make sure all our questions were answered. They seemingly required FAR less documentation than anyone else. But their stated tactic was to present a perfect, iron-clad package to underwriting up-front, so that there would be an instant approval and there wouldn't be a need for further questions or documentation. (Imagine that???) In what seemed like the blink of an eye, we were approved and ushered through closing. We simply could not be more impressed with the Tuttle Group. We've helped numerous friends and family through the mortgage process, and it's always like being put through a medieval torture device. This is the first time getting approved and closing was a PLEASURE. We NEVER had to contact them for questions, because they were always checking in to make sure all ours were answered. They were super friendly, familiar, informal-yet-professional, and we always felt like they had our backs and had everything under control. We actually looked forward to their calls and emails...imagine that??? Even though were were looking for a silly, small refinance and shouldn't have been worth their time, we felt like we had called up a dear family member who gave us the "hook up" our situation clearly didn't warrant. Astounded. Impressed. Thrilled. Grateful. These are some of the things we feel after our experience with the Tuttle Group.
