Went to try on dresses here, and the shop's set up has been my favorite of all the shops so far because of the large mirrors, large private rooms with curtains, and the large windows in the front to see how dresses look in the natural light, which is perfect if you plan on having and outdoor wedding. Emma was very helpful during my appointment, and she pulled several dresses for me. I was the only one in the shop at the time, so it felt like a very private and low stress environment. The prices ranged from 700-a couple of thousand dollars. There was a section with off-the-rack dresses, which were more on the cheaper side, and others in which you could order your size and color. Hi Swan Bridal/Emma, Thank you for responding. I want to add clear, factual context for anyone reading. My original gown shopping experience with Taylor was positive, and I captured that sentiment in a completely separate 5-star review. This review and reply are only about the alterations communication she provided and veil outcome, which occurred months after purchase. When buying the veil, I was directly told by Taylor that both shortening and appliqué removal at the top were possible in alterations. I made it clear that the ability to remove that top appliqué was the sole reason I moved forward with ordering that specific veil. At the alteration appointment which I attended in-person, the veil was shortened, but the appliqué was still untouched. We marked precisely where it needed to be removed so the design would properly align with my dress. I did not approve leaving it as-is. Because I live out of town, my mother later picked up the veil on my behalf. Only at that time, days before my wedding at final pick up, were we told the top appliqué removal could not be done at all, even though it had already been discussed many times. At that pickup moment, I did not threaten a bad review. I requested a full refund so I could return the veil entirely, and that request was denied by you because the veil had "already been altered." Again, those alterations were not completed based on what was discussed or marked and, as mentioned in my initial review, I had to settle for a partial discount and a veil I was unhappy with. So my review is warranted. Had I been told upfront that the change wasn't possible, OR had the appliqué been removed where we marked it, I would have: * never purchased the veil, * never requested a refund, * and happily kept and loved what I ordered. Instead, I was left with a veil that: * visibly clashed with the dress due to color contrast at the top, * was not altered as confirmed or marked, * and could not be returned when I asked, despite the incomplete work. Transparency is everything in bridal alterations-- especially for expensive, time-sensitive items with no remake or replacement window. My response is not personal to Taylor's styling work, but clarity matters for future brides reading this. Brides deserve accurate information and accountability on purchases made specifically because of alteration assurances. I stand by my review and this context. read more

I was that rando that just walked in without an appointment. Lol I saw the 'open' sign on my way to Wholesome Eating and decided to stop in and take a look. The employee greeted me and asked if I had an appointment and when I told her no, she certainly didn't get upset. In fact, she encouraged me to come, take a look around, and if I found anything I was interested in, to let her know so I could try it on and that she'd be happy to help me. She was already assisting another client but I appreciated the welcome! I browsed for about 20 minutes and although I did find a few beautiful dresses, none that was close to what I have in mind. I did not have a bad experience here however I would not say I had a good experience here either. My bridal appointment left me very underwhelmed and I did not feel special at all. The consultant as she tried her best did not seem to listen to anything I was saying I wanted vs what i didn't want. She kept bringing the same type of dresses and same style- however after looking around it's because that's all they had- a lot of the same type of dress. WORST EXPERIENCE! The consultant pulled 5-6 dresses for me to try on. After the second dress, she told me nothing else would fit me. I was confused because there were a ton of dresses and had not been told there or any of the other shops I went to that there was a limited selection for a size 12. She then proceeded to go take "another look" and returned with a exact style I told her in the beginning that I did not like. She then suggested I put on the provided silk robe for me to go with her. When the size M/L did not wrap she looked at me like I had 4 boobs and said "OH!". I am not a super sensitive girl but I could not get out of there fast enough so I could cry. Spare yourself! We went there today and had an absolutely horrible experience. They were late opening up and we had an appointment for right when they opened. They had no dresses picked out or ready for us so we spent 30 minutes looking for dresses to try on. When we tried the dresses on no pizzaz was into the showing, they didn't offer to put on a veil to make it THE dress. We also were not told appointments were only an hour when we booked so as we were finding more dresses to try on we were rudely told that another bride was waiting and we could not try on any more dresses. I didn't feel great at this store, I felt rushed and unimportant. There are way better bridal stores down the road! read more

Can't say enough great things about Swan Bridal! When I came into the shop, I had already tried on dresses from 2 other stores that day and had a favorite dress from each store. Swan's collection quickly made me forget about those first 2 dresses, both in style and price (the dresses I tried on were half the price of the other boutiques!!) Jane was so sweet and helpful throughout the entire process. I had narrowed it down to 2 favorites and was having such a hard time deciding between the 2 dresses. They were both so unique and had beautiful details. As it turned out, Jane actually designed one of the dresses and her partner Catherine had designed the other. I decided to go home and sleep on it and come back in the morning. When I came back the next day, Catherine was actually the one who helped me out. This was the first dress shop my mom and I walked into. We found five dresses we loved, tried them on, narrowed it down to two, and bought the dress in a two-hour span. Catherine was very attentive and sweet and patient. Absolute worst experience ever, left me feeling uncomfortable, defeated, and almost left in tears. This was my first real time coming with family to search for a wedding dress and I was already so anxious because my father passed away not too long ago and his absence from this milestone was tough enough. If you're a skinny woman I think you won't have any issues. I wear a size 15 pant which I think isn't outrageous in size, however the owner and her daughter appeared to think otherwise. Despite me being friendly, kind, open, and honestly nervous, the owner had me in the changing room and only made me feel terrible about my body. She didn't let me try on any dresses because said "nothing will fit you, this is all we have for your body, the rest won't look good on you." Which at first I appreciated the realism, but later I began to get frustrated and felt as if I my body wasn't good enough for a wedding dress which absolutely no one should ever feel. Even with being able to put the fabric in the back of the dress or use clamps like other bridal shops, she just refused to let me try anything other than the 3 dresses she chose for me (after she had me shop around for a while and pick some out.) After finally coming out in a few dresses and my family clearly seeing me look so upset and self conscious, they made some suggestions about other dresses to which the owners adult daughter responded "we can't let her try those because her body will ruin the dress." I was completely appalled at what she said so I wanted to take the dress I was wearing off and just take a second to collect myself. While I was in the dressing room, the owner and her daughter stood near my family and started speaking Spanish (not knowing my entire family speaks Spanish) and continued to say "I don't know why she's trying any of these, none of them will fit her and none of them look good." After my family told me what they said I was near tears and told them I'm sorry I just needed to take a moment to consider some options (I was being kind and apologetic even when I did nothing wrong) and the owner didn't even make eye contact and just said "mmhmm" and then continued hanging dresses as if she really didn't even care. I left feeling embarrassed that my family and bridesmaids had to hear that nothing was fitting me and I felt completely robbed of my bridal experience or even just a good customer service experience at all. I really don't appreciate how I was treated and luckily the I was able to make a same day appointment at Olivia Grace Bridal where everyone was just so wonderful and I ended up finding my dream dress. I don't know how to express this . At first I really loved the store and did my homework and I saw all the beautiful reviews! So I tried out this nice place. After the first consultation I fell in love with a dress, a crown and a veil. Everyone was friendly. I decided the next day the dress wasn't for me, and called to cancel it. But the crown was paid for separately. But one big issue a huge miscommunication. My sister had paid for my crown , and told at first it needed repair but I bought it anyway and the lady up front register said it would be sent for repair and would be ready in 4 weeks. No big deal. The Wedding isn't until 1 year down the road. One month later I went out of the country and my sister got a call the crown was ready, so I had to wait till I came back . No big deal. I came back one 1 week later and I asked for my crown. They could not find it. They could not find anything of it. Waited like 35 minutes I believe and they said they did not even have it. I was let down because I traveled 45 miles to the store... on top of that they still had my old paper work for my dress and told me my crown wasn't ordered because I had to pay half the payment for the dress. Just a big miscommunication. Any who we asked for a refund and they did not want to. I will get my crown else where , even though it was paid for. read more

I had already been to a couple of stores before I came to Swan Bridal. I'm very sensitive to fabrics and had a bad reaction to some material the day prior and the stylists at other stores made it seem like it was my problem. As soon as I walked into Swan Bridal I felt more at ease. The dresses are beautiful, Catherine was super sweet and helped me figure out which fabric was making me break out. She was so patient and when I found my perfect dress she and Jane were so excited for me! I even waited until the following weekend so my future mother-in-law could see the dress and I was just as in love with it as I was before!
