Capt Woody walked out rockin' the black alternate Boucher #9, so we knew we were in for a good time! The knowledge he had about the area was incredible. When you're in the area, we highly recommend checking this place out! You won't be dissapointed!

The 90 minutes flew by way too fast. We honestly could have stayed out there all day! Gerald was incredibly knowledgeable, funny, and engaging. He shared fascinating facts about the Louisiana swamp while making sure everyone had an exciting, memorable experience. We saw multiple alligators up close along with plenty of other wildlife, and the speed and thrill of the airboat ride made it even more unforgettable. If you're trying to decide between the shorter tour and the 90-minute tour, do yourself a favor and book the 90 minutes. You'll still wish it were longer! This was the perfect adventure for our family, and our teenage boys haven't stopped talking about it. Highly recommend Airboat Tours by Arthur, and if you get Gerald as your captain, you're in for an amazing experience! We'll definitely be back!

The area was our first stop on our American Cruise Lines River Cruise and a short bus ride from the dock. Our group took one boat and we were easily loaded on and viewing was easy. Just remember the golden rule. "Keep all body parts in the boat." we were definitely reminded of this rule through the whole trip as people tend to lean over the side. After you see your first alligator swiming up to the ship you remember that they see you as bait. Our driver / tourguide was feeding them marshmallows which was actually fun to watch. It wasn't just the gators... We saw wild raccoons and boar. This was truly a wild game park [swamp.]. No trained animals here. An old cemetery, tee pees and great views just rounded out the whole trip. This was fun and I added a few photos to go with this narrative. Next time I do this I will choose a day that is not in the low 100s. It can get really warm in the bayou. KUDOs to the team at Cajun Pride Swamp Tours.

From the moment we left the dock, he had the perfect playlist going--especially if you grew up in the '80s and '90s, the music made the ride even more enjoyable. What really stood out was how fair and attentive Dustin was to everyone on the boat. If the left side spotted wildlife, he made sure to position the boat so the right side had an equally great view. He truly went out of his way to make sure every guest had the best experience possible. We saw alligators, raccoons, and so much more. Dustin brought us close enough to really appreciate the animals while still making everyone feel safe. I have to admit, those little raccoons gave me quite a scare! Once they finished their chicken and marshmallows, they sat on the side of the tree staring us down, clearly hoping for seconds. It was hilarious--and a little intimidating! To top it all off, we even had the opportunity to hold a baby alligator at the end of the tour. It was an unforgettable experience and the perfect ending to an incredible adventure. If you love nature, swamps, wildlife, or alligators, I can't recommend Cajun Pride Swamp Tours enough. Be sure to ask for Dustin if you can--you won't be disappointed!

Creeping through tranquil inlets & speeding down a maze of channels. We explored crawfish nets (I snatched one out of the trap for further inspection), we took a plethora of breath taking photos (now posted on Facebook), braced ourselves as we raced through dense thick floating vegetation yet sailed right through like it wasn't there (our guide "Albert" reveled in the expected surprised looks on our faces). He sped us in circles to agitate the carp just below the surface causing them to leap out of the water for our entertainment. We got a brief glimpse of a gator just before he ducked down into the water. In addition to this memorable experience the guide was extremely knowledgeable regarding to the entire ecosystem. This is a must do experience if you are a visitor to Louisiana or even a local (my fiancé booked the tour whom is a local). Have fun!!

1-Star Review I'm…read moreextremely disappointed with our experience with Louisiana Tour Company on August 21. What should have been a fun family experience turned into an extremely uncomfortable and humiliating situation. During our tour, a small piece of trash accidentally flew out of my 3-year-old nephew's hand and into the water. Instead of calmly addressing the situation with the adults in our group, the tour guide became aggressive and yelled at a 3-year-old child in front of our entire family and the other guests. The guide then stopped the tour, reversed the boat, went back to retrieve the piece of trash, and aggressively threw it into the trash can. We completely understand the importance of protecting the environment and keeping the waterways clean. What we do not understand is why a small child needed to be treated that way over an accident. The guide was also vaping throughout the tour, which I found to be very unprofessional and not the type of behavior I expected from someone representing a tour company. I contacted management afterward because I felt the situation needed to be addressed. Unfortunately, I was offered only a $20 refund, which I do not feel adequately acknowledges what happened or how poorly my family was treated. This review isn't about getting money back. It's about how customers--and especially children--are treated. We paid for a memorable family experience and instead left feeling embarrassed and disrespected. I sincerely hope management takes this complaint seriously, addresses the guide's behavior, and ensures that future families are treated with professionalism and respect.

Meh, glad we went, but would not book with them and cannot recommend. We decided to book and drive…read moreourselves there since it was a bit more expensive for us to drive than pay for three people to go from their office in downtown. They told us to be there 15 minutes before our tour start time and we were there 20 minutes before, but the tour guide was 10 minutes late past the start of the tour itself. We thought we were in the wrong place and tried to get in contact with the tour agency. Got voicemail the first time and it was this random woman's number, but then called the same number a minute later and a guy told us the tour operator was on his way and then needed to pick up the supplies. It seems that they should have communicated that earlier and they should have a better system in place. The launch from the boat area was into a busy area right under the freeway and our guide basically was like hangout there and wait for me. That foreshadowed the rest of the tour for us, he basically was distant from us most of the tour, either way in front or way behind and we were a total tour of four people. There was no discussion about what we would see beyond him showing us alligators. At one point we were in the deeper section and a massive log was in the way, he went over and faced the opposite direction while the four of us struggled to get our kayaks over the log. He told us to go around and we got stuck because it was more elevated on the side and just sat on his phone the entire time while we helped each other. I get we were a group coming together, but it felt like he just told us which way to go, but didn't do any real guiding. We even helped him load and unload the supplies from the kayak. I think this tour company needs to be better organized and train their guides on what they should do to become tour guides.

My partner and I have some experience paddling and wanted plenty of time to see wildlife and get deep in the swamp for the best scenery, and for us the extended tour was the right choice! I'd recommend it to visitors to New Orleans who love nature, the outdoors, and/or getting a fun and unique workout in during vacation. We were on the water for about 4 hours. Sunscreen, sunglasses, shoes you don't mind getting wet, and PLENTY of water are a must! There are stops at a truck stop right before and after for the bathroom and buying any drinks/snacks, plus a stop on dry land during the tour. Our guide Nick was clearly dedicated to both paddling and nature even outside of work, and our tour felt less like a scripted performance as some tours can be and more like a buddy was showing and telling you things he was passionate about. We saw several small alligators, barred owls, hawks, turtles, and water birds. It was unseasonably warm so the reptiles were a treat to see, and it was awesome getting to see owls out in daylight which I'd never be able to pick out myself. Bring binoculars if you have them! My only small complaint, which has nothing to do with the tour itself: the AI-generated content on the company's Instagram page is kind of weird. Photos and videos from actual tours would be more honest and enticing!
