3.5 stars. Located in a truck stop, this place has solid Indian food. There were quite a bit of people dining in and the food seems to be a local favorite. I ordered goat curry, garlic naan, and mango lassi. The naan was soft, fluffy, and super garlicky. The mango lassi was the perfect balance of tart and sweet. I asked for the goat curry to be medium spicy but it came out mild. Good flavor curry but there was more bone than goat meat. Definitely a better dining option in the area!

Excellent Indian food. I ordered a lamb curry with garlic naan and a mango lassi. Overall my food was full of flavor, well portioned and prepared fast. Clean dining section, easy access of the 40 and the gentleman who took my order provided excellent customer service.

Yes, I know it's at a truck stop, but don't knock it until you try it. We stopped here because it was recommended to us by some locals. And I have to admit, we were pleasantly surprised. We both ordered the goat curry. It was flavorful, and had a decent amount of heat. The garlic naan was fresh and delicious. The milk cake was flavorful, but might have been sitting in the fridge for awhile. I bet if it was fresh it would be delicious! Service was just okay, and the ambiance could use a little bit of work. I have to say, I would definitely stop by again.

Excellent Punjabi Dhaba in the middle of the desert. The staff are excellent, friendly, and very helpful in deciding what cuisine to choose. The quality Punjabi food is spiced perfectly. The proportion amounts are huge. The prices are right too. We chose vegetable pakora, yellow dal, mango lassi, chai, and naans. FANTASTIC! It's like being back in Gujranwala Pakistan. This is a MUST STOP!

Definitely, we pulled into fill up at the Holbrook, AZ truck stop. Immediately the air was filled with amazing smells. We had to try it. We did and it was authentic and delicious.

Must be the authentic and definitely a truck stop for good Indian food. Filled with the natives from India in the middle of nowhere. Both goat curry and daal was delicious. Naan was okay - couldn't taste the garlic as much.

Great aromas, music waaaay too loud, counter service only. Unless you know this cuisine you won't know what you're ordering. I ordered butter chicken...took a loooong time. Good taste, generous serving. To go NOT environmentally friendly.

Five star Indian food at a truckstop? You bet! Punjabi Dhaba's have been popping up all over the interstates to bring a taste of home to the increasing amount of Punjabi truck drivers. We were lucky that we found Swaad Stop, because it is one of the most delicious stops for Indian food that you will find! Both times we have taken the food to go, and I saw some posts about small portions, but we feel the portions are generous, and they get a lot of food into those little containers! The garlic naan is the best ever! So light and fluffy with the perfect amount of garlic! So far we have tried the butter chicken and the chicken tikka masala, and both were delicious with tasty basmati rice. For the vegetarian dishes, we have tried the saag paneer and yellow daal, and if all of their vegetarian dishes are this tasty, I may stop eating meat! Luckily, I have occasional meetings in Holbrook, and can't wait to work my way through the menu! Service has always been fast and friendly, and the restaurant is roomy and clean. If you are in the Holbrook area, don't keep on trucking down I-40 without taking a detour to Swaad Stop in the Hopi Travel Plaza. Just look for the dinosaurs! ;)

The garlic Naan was no good. There was so much garlic on it but for some reason it had no flavor. It was also super burnt. I do not recommend getting it. I'm vegetarian so I got the potatoes balls in a curry (I'm sorry I forgot what's it called). Although that one was very sweet. I liked it. As for the workers they weren't very friendly but I do not expect much from a gas station stop. The place did feel a bit like a club with the lights and music.
