Suzie's Big Daddy 1/2 Pound Onion Rings
Tiffany B.

I got to try Suzie Burger through Door Dash. My first thought is that it took too long. I'm not sure if they were busy or not, but I know I had a dasher leave because they were waiting too long, so another dasher accepted the order. The food was good, but the prices were too steep. The best things were the onion rings and the French fries. I actually really like the skinny fries, but again I think the price was too high. The burger was just average and small compared to other places. I ate all of my food and still did not feel full.

I have always driven by Suzie and never stopped by until now. And I was missing out. The burgers are big, cheesy and made with love. Seasoned to perfection. Bun toasted to the right amount. I got the deluxe bacon cheeseburger. It was mighty tasty. Staff is friendly and fast. Clean environment. Peaceful, old school burger joint feels. Everything on the menu is priced to not hurt the pockets. Will definitely be coming back soon

Single burger with fries ($13)

Almost felt like a McDonald's meets a Disney "the incredibles" mash up. Despite that attempted blend of two great American creations, I was not impressed. I elected for a basic single cheeseburger with fries. On first look, nothing special or inspiring, but that's fine. The fries were crispier than I imagined, but lacked that salty, fatty flavor you would expect in a fast food fry and were a bit cool temperature wise. I found the burger to be lackluster. It was a small patty that was well done accompanied by basic condiments. The bun was fine. Otherwise, I don't see why I wouldn't go to the Golden Arches first. I don't have high expectations with service at these joints, but it could have been better, but I will not digress. It's probably just matter of my age and the high standard I have for the youths.

Love it! My first Yelp place for 2025, and it was a great pick! I came here for the first time with a colleague for lunch, and I'm so glad I did. You order your food and pay and then they'll call you to pick it up. Cool and friendly vibes from the staff. I ordered the fries and the Philly cheesesteak with mushrooms, and let me tell you, my first bite was juicy! The cheesesteak was loaded with plenty of gooey cheese, tender steak, and the mushrooms complimented each bite. The fries were crispy and seasoned perfectly. If you're on the hunt for a great cheesesteak in Sacramento, Suzie Burger won't disappoint.

Kid burger and fries.

A nice burger place with plenty of space. I wouldn't hesitate to bring a sports team here. The burgers are tasty. Our 4 yr old was able to eat about half of the kid burger but couldn't stop eating the fries. I had a double bacon cheeseburger. It's good but as greasy as it sounds. I got the onion rings. They were ok but I wasn't heart broken about not finishing them. Overall, the staff were very nice. The different posters on the wall of "Suzie" were entertaining to look at. It is definitely a nice retro burger place that will feed you well.

Burgers went downhill. Wasted my burger intake. They changed the buns. Burgers are smaller. Meat was pink and lame. Too bad I didn't take a picture to compare with my old one. Bummer.

I've passed by this spot on P Street so many times, always telling myself I'd give it a try--well, today was finally the day! I ordered the cheeseburger, thinking it would be their standout item, but after trying it, I have a feeling their Philly cheesesteak sandwiches are the real stars of the menu. The burger was decent, but next time, I'm definitely going for the Philly. The place has a solid vibe, and I'm glad I finally stopped in.

Way over priced and they nickel and dime you for everything. I don't recommend if you want to pay restaurant prices for McDonald's food.

Used to be my favorite, the cheeseburger was the size of a McDonald's cheeseburger with lettuce on it. Was so disappointed.

Can they do lettuce wraps instead of the bun?

I'm not sure if that would improve the quality of the food it's not as good as it used to be since it was bought by new owners. And having a car crashed through the front entrance a couple of days ago probably isn't helping any either LOL don't know… Read more

Did y'all change the fries!? Used to be the best batter-y shoestrings, but now they're just regular. I sure hope this is a temporary switch...?…

The cheesesteak was packed with tender beef, grilled onions, mushrooms, crispy bacon (add on), and a ridiculous amount of melted cheese. The bread held everything together perfectly without getting soggy which matters more than people think with cheesesteaks. The cheese fries were also amazing. Crispy fries with plenty of cheese instead of just a light drizzle on top. Portions were solid and everything came out fresh and hot. Seems like it's a family ran restaurant and the service was top notch. Super friendly people here. I also loved the old sports memorabilia so the vibes were perfect for a spot like this. Honestly, it's really good comfort food done right. I'll definitely be coming back when I'm in Sacramento again!

I called in our order and he went to pick it up. We each got "the works" cheesesteak which came with sautéed mushrooms, onions, plenty of meat and our choice of cheese. We both decided to do provolone cheese. The sandwiches were large and quite filling with thinly sliced meat that was not chewy but melted in your mouth. I did an order of waffle fries with my sandwich while my husband ordered classic french fries. The fries were crispy and golden perfection. So the next time you have a craving for a Philly cheesesteak, come check this place out.

I ordered a classic Philly with provolone and added mushrooms. I waited at least 30 minutes while watching another customer come in after me and receive his food first. When I asked the cashier about it, she told me he had called his order in, but I personally saw him standing there asking questions about the menu before ordering. Then I was asked if I had a number, I said no because I either genuinely didn't hear one called out and a paper one was never given to me. The cashier insisted everyone gets a number, while also trying to figure out which ticket I "must have been." Meanwhile, the cook even tried handing me someone else's sandwich before realizing it wasn't mine. At that point there was a lot of fumbling and confusion while I just sat waiting, getting closer and closer to being late getting back to work. To the owner's credit, he did apologize and gave me fries for the inconvenience, which I appreciated. When I finally got back to work and opened the sandwich, I initially thought the mushrooms were missing completely, but they were actually only on one half of the sandwich. After such a long wait and all the confusion, it just added to the disappointment. I hate leaving reviews like this because my previous experiences here were actually really good, but this visit definitely left more to be desired.

However, if you like or love cheesesteak sandwiches, I suggest you give this little spot a try. We popped in for dinner to bring home. The two employees (potential owners) working there were super kind and friendly. When I asked if a sandwich could be made without onions, due to allergies, it was no problem. We got home and the food had tempered a bit, so we popped things quickly into the microwave and things were still yummy. Next time, I would eat there. Yes, there is not a lot going on ambiance wise, but their food is freshly prepared, fries are crispy, bread is soft, and meat is delish. Bring your appetite and Philly cheesesteak on!
