First night in Lyon, and every restaurant we tried to go to was full. After 30+ min of walking around, we found this little spot. I'm shocked by the low stars but would say good food and intimate spot I'd you're not too in need of attentive service.
Food: No complaints at all about the moules-frites, galette companion, crepe nutella, et grande bouteille de cidre brut. It was good! The mussels were plentiful, and the fries had a nice spice (paprika) and were hot out of the fryer. (I'm gluten free so didn't try the rest of the food, but my date cleaned his plate.) We washed it all down with the cider, which was really good.
Ambiance: Cozy is the word. It's small, and the smell of the kitchen is strong, but it added a bit to the experience. Rustic-chic and unassuming.
Service: Well, we were served. It was not quick or attentive, but honestly, it was fine. read more
