Some of the nicest staff you will meet in all of Sutton's bay! This place is wonderful beyond words. Beautiful views of the bay, delicious ciders, and there's a dog. Just do yourself a favor and stop here, you won't regret it.

What an awesome place to spend an afternoon! The views here are top notch and the cider is delish. They have a pretty decent amount of ciders to choose from so we started with a flight of 8. Most were on the dryer side. I think my favorite was the Power Island and Cherry Fest. My husband really liked Smitten. And later one of the bartenders suggested mixing the Smitten and the Cherry Fest half and half which really hit the spot! We ended up coming here twice while we were in town. They have lots of outdoor seating in various places. The windows inside are nice big picture windows to show off the view from anywhere you choose to hang. If you are a cider fan, I highly recommend making a stop here!

We got a flight of 8 to try all of the flavors. $16 for a flight of 8 ciders, good cost, super friendly service, and the cutest vibes! We sat outside at the picnic tables for the flights then came inside so my boyfriend could watch some of the football game on the tv. Gorgeous views and the cutest little spot! They have a deck with umbrellas, a wooded area with picnic tables and Adirondack chairs, and a grassy area with umbrellas and corn hole boards. Such a cute set up!

Hidden gem! Worth the drive to see this view! Great ciders with great people! Variety of ciders to choose from I recommend the flight.

Suttons Bay Ciders is a worthwhile stop while in the area. Here's why you should make a trip to this award-winning, family-owned cidery: 1) Location: On top of a hill overlooking the Grand Traverse Bay, the cidery offers stunning views of the water. Nestled in a forest, the setting makes you feel like you're in the Pacific Northwest. It's near several other wineries, which explains the wine tour buses that stop here. (Warning- those tourists can be rude.) 2) Space: There's a parking lot by a chicken coop. Walk up the stairs to find a spacious tasting room with a long bar and a few tables. There's an outdoor deck with tables, an outdoor tent and an area with picnic tables, two igloos and games like cornhole. 3) Cider: Using local apples, they have a large, diverse cider menu. Order the tasting to try them all. They have ice cider, drier cider, sweeter cider and cider with unique flavors like mint, peach cream, jalapeno and peanut butter and jelly. There's a little shop inside that sells bottles of their cider. You'll want to take some home with you!

We were welcomed at the door on a beautiful fall day. There is lots of outside seating overlooking the beautiful bay. Sitting inside there is a wall of windows overlooking the bay. The cider all have such distinct tastes and there is a great variety. Loved it here! Highly recommend!

A delightful find sitting among the treetops! The bartender was friendly and engaging, the ciders were delicious and the view from the deck was absolutely amazing! We ordered a flight of four and, honestly, I could have ordered a pint of any one of them and been happy, but I have to admit that I went for the sweeter cider and ordered the "Smitten"...and I was. Smitten, that is! It was very refreshing. I love this place and will definitely return if I am ever in this area again.

SC and I were in the area a few weeks ago heading out of Suttons Bay (such a cute area!!) and he found this place online so we decided to check it out and we're so glad we did! The staff was friendly, the view was GORGEOUS (we even saw a double rainbow!), and the drinks were really unique!! We got the full flight of 10 (including their dessert wine and special) for $15 which was really reasonable. We liked that you could taste the ingredients in each cider- ginger, jalapeno, lavender, barrel-aged, etc. My personal favorite was the Mosiac. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with varying views to enjoy. A really beautiful place to sit back, enjoy nature and some good drinks! Plus, the staff let us pick out a couple apples to take too!

We absolutely loved our time here! Highly recommend! The cider was amazing and their border collie was a major highlight to an amazing day exploring the area! We can't wait to visit again!

So relaxing to sit on the deck, sip a cider and listen to a great band. Too bad they finished so early!

I ended up getting a red flight and a white flight which was 3 wines for $12! I've never seen a better deal than that for location, quality of wine and pour. Bill was amazing and even helped upkeep the fire pit right outside. When we got too cold to be outside we had the option of either enjoying our wine inside or in the multiple heated igloo rooms which was a nice touch and allowed space to enjoy everything without being overcrowded. A lot of people came on to purchase wine which they have amazing deals per bottle/case. Overall 10/10 and can't wait to come back in the spring/summer!

The staff here are fantastic, friendly, welcoming, and eager to share their knowledge not just about Shady Lane's wines, but also other wineries in the area. It really added to the experience and made us feel at home. Overall, this was such a solid stop and one I'd absolutely come back to again. Great wine, great people, and a setting that makes you want to linger.
