Patience on top of patience along with great advice in helping decide what was needed, how much, options, etc... Then providing the material at a fair price helped me and my wife to become SRL fans... Sure we might save a few cents here n there shopping at one of the big box stores but GREAT Customer Service Beats a few cents saved here and there... Also, SRL carries lumber in stock the big stores might be able to order but at SRL I pick the lumber I need rather than "take it or leave it "... So, If you like Great Customer Service, Fair Prices and People who care, try Sheridan Road Lumber for your next project!!

My contractor uses them whenever he can because they're a solid family owned business that will really work with contractors and homeowners to make sure they get what the need. In my case, they allowed my contractor to take wood and then allowed me to pay for it later. They are a very good business. Their lumber is better than the stuff I've seen at retailers (Home Depot, Lowes, and Menards) and competitively priced. Combine that with a business that will help you if you buy the wrong stuff or need to get more stuff quickly, and you have a winner.

While driving on Hwy 6 in north Peoria, a truck with Cornerstone's branding on it blew by me and proceeded to tailgate two cars extremely closely, one for a considerable distance. For those fmailiar with the area, this episode took place over the course of traveling from War Memorial to Allen Rd. I took note of the license plate number, and when I had the chance to do so safely, I called the company to suggest that they have a conversation with the driver about driving more carefully, both to protect public safety and out of consideration for their own property and liability. It turns out the proprietor was driving. He told me he would "let himself know" and then began to dispute my account. He told me he was driving the speed limit, which he quoted at 70mph. It's 65, and I was driving 65 at the time. He passed me going at least 10mph over the limit. He denied tailgating; he was mere feet behind the car in front. When I corrected him about the speed limit, he hung up on me. Part of the job is getting to the site without endangering others. A more appropriate response to my call would have been an apology and a promise to try to do better. I wouldn't hire this guy if the only alternative were to store my dishes in cardboard boxes.

    I purchased from the East Peoria Lumber Liquidators (Store #1126), at the beginning of September…read moreand spent almost $10,000 for custom flooring. The buying process was really easy and I had great service, but after that everything went downhill. 1. Part of my flooring was shipped back due to it not passing their quality test, which delayed my timeframe. I explained every time I talked to a representative that I needed the job to be done by a certain date and I was assured several times that they would call my contractor so I could get on the schedule and that my job would not be delayed. 2. They never called my contractor. I ended up having to call around and find the number of my contractor and was able to finally get ahold of him so that he could schedule me. 3. The day of the job (September 30), my contractor called me at 6 a.m. to tell me that lumber liquidators did not send my work order over and that he wouldn't be coming out to start my job. 4. I went in person to the store to find out what happened with the paperwork and why it was not sent to my contractor so that the job could start. I was not disrespectful, but understandably upset. The employee, Rob, looked up my order, shook his head, LAUGHED at me, and then walked away and said "You are going to have to talk to Travis." I was very confused why he was laughing at me and walking away. I told him that was fine and I can wait (since I took the day off to be available for the contractor) and asked Rob how long it was going to take for Travis to come in. Rob told me he would call Travis and he would be in in a little while. He turned away to the back room and said very loudly, "I'm not dealing with this f*ing attitude," and slammed the door. I was in complete shock and afraid because he was acting very aggressive. It was just us in the store. He continued to slam doors in and out while I waited in the store for over 45 minutes. Rob did not communicate with me the entire time and completely ignored me. It finally took my father calling the store and speaking with Rob for him to FINALLY call Travis to find out what happened. Travis claimed the paperwork was sent the night before, but it actually wasn't confirmed till it was resent and received that morning/early afternoon. My contractor did not receive it till a little after 2 p.m. because it had to go through corporate. I told Travis how Rob behaved towards me and I did not receive an apology. In conclusion, my job was delayed and I was treated horribly because of the error caused by lumber liquidators. I understand that no one wants to be told that they did something wrong, but I did not deserve to be treated as such and, AGAIN, I did not receive an apology or any compensation for the inconvenience and disrespect I received. Consider this a question posed to the company, how are you going to fix this? They lacked communication, empathy, and failed to follow through on promises they made. I would not recommend using this store or this company. They do not respect your time or your money.

They…read moreagreed to refund us the amount we paid for it. great. when we went to get the new flooring they told us they didn't carry it any more. ok.. fine. Picked out a new floor and ordered it. Picked up new floor...without checking invoice on the name of the floor...because why would we..they don't carry the old one. took it home. Our contractor laid the floor two days later while we were at work. when we got home...it was the wrong floor. it was our old floor, not the new one we ordered. After a week or so , and many phone calls...they said it was our fault we didn't check our invoice and that we signed pick up orders and we didn't catch this when floor was installed . They will not replace it or help us pay for reinstallation. They are the ones that messed up and will not take responsibility for it at all. Will never deal with this company again. They blame the customer for their screw ups.
