I was treated by the attending physician, Dr. Andrew Amack. symptoms related to Syndrome a condition I have managed for over 20 years. Because I am intimately familiar with how my body responds to this condition, I attempted to advocate for myself by sharing which medications have historically been effective in stopping the vomiting cycle. In response, Dr. Amack was dismissive and openly hostile. He told me, "Just because you ---------doesn't mean that you can come into my ER and demand the medication that works best for you." I found this comment to be unprofessional, biased, and a direct violation of my right to be treated with respect and dignity. Specifically, I am concerned about the following: * Bias and Stigma: His comments regarding my condition felt like a moral judgment rather than a clinical assessment, leading to a breakdown in the doctor-patient relationship. * Dismissal of Patient History: Despite my 20-year history with this condition, my expertise regarding my own health was treated as an "interference" rather than valuable clinical information. * Unprofessional Conduct: Referring to the department as "his ER" while speaking down to a patient in distress is unacceptable bedside manner. I am requesting that this complaint be added to Dr. Amack's personnel file and reviewed by the Chief of Staff or the ER Medical Director. I would also like a written response outlining how this matter will be addressed to ensure other patients with chronic conditions are not met with similar hostility. Sincerely,

Witnessed discrimination against patient with disabilities. The second the RN saw the patient, she…read morewas rolling her eyes, complaining, had a major attitude. The team explained that they called multiple times ahead of the appointment to explain the condition, what exactly would be needed and ensure it was an appropriate setting. The doctor scheduled to conduct the procedure had already evaluated the patient in-person and personally referred them to this center for her to complete it. Patient did absolutely nothing wrong, other than needing some assistance from their team, and a full team was present to work with them to ensure the Sutter staff didn't have to worry about anything. The RN immediately complained and was openly talking negatively about the patient in the hallway so the team denied service without even trying or consulting the patients team. Even after the reiteration that the procedure was urgent due to life threatening concerns and having a history of successful procedures with no issues, they refused service based on the fact they had disabilities that they were well aware of ahead of time. Very disheartening to see professionals in a field meant to help others be so discriminatory and hateful.

Lady next to us said she was there for 8 and still hadn't been seen. Decided to leave and go to another ER and was told we will still see a bill for triage. Triage did NOTHING but take vitals. This place is small, dirty, and has horrid patient care. Would love to also mention how when in triage another nurse came walking in the room eating a bag of chips, come on..tacky. This place is a representation of the scam we call "health care"

If you want to go there let's talk about HIPAA and how the security guards are not HIPAA compliance regardless of the fact he had no business putting his hands on a woman protecting her husband and his rights . This is serious allegations coming from the actual family . This is very concerning and very illegal to the fullest extent of the law . I'm sure my friend is talking to her own friends making sure that her and her husband's rights will no longer be taken from them . This story is disgusting illegal and not to mention the Hippocratic Vow that y'all took it just ain't there . After looking at ratings review should I really feel all that shocked. To anyone seeing this post if you absolutely have to go to this facility bring an advocate with you . Bring a witness with you . It makes the biggest difference and trust me as a patient dealing with doctors for over 10 years I'm telling you this makes the biggest difference in all the world . Don't forget there are numerous ways to record and you have that right you know just in case you forget what they say which a lot of people do. Including myself. I only gave 1 star because they force us to. They should have a plus and negative slide bar, if y'all really want a better review.

Both the lady and male security guards went out of their way to locate my grandma's cane we had left a month prior. The nurses (Kaitlyn in med surge) and Carmie (CNA) at her most recent hospitalization were thorough with both managing her care, but also sharing her discharge information. I really appreciated the encouraging words from them as well. I can't speak on much of the doctors themselves, but my grandma's alive and doing well so I'd say that's been good. My only complaints are: the small ED lobby that feels like a bubble of germs with the circle of seats to cough onto each other. The lack of communication with wait times in between information given once you're in a room in the ED... and bedside with some ER doctors. But that's par the course for most hospitals.

She's amazing and overall Sutter has been a great place to have my medical care. Thank you again!

I tried to report the officer but was told San Ramon has no black police officers. As if this wasn't bad enough one of their workers started emailing and video calling me every day through Facebook. He came to my home, took me out several times and then told me he wished I weighed less and that he may have diseases after he was intimate with me and then never saw me again. I don't sleep around and have had only one partner in my whole life. He prayed on an innocent person that was a patient and put my health at risk as well as tried to hurt my self esteem.
