I am finding more and more that in order to get the medical care my doctor recommends I must do the…read morelegwork to get it started, the follow-up and then finally any communication with the Labs, Specialists, and Supply Houses in order for equipment to actually be filled. Golden State Medical is no exception. My doctor sent them a prescription for a TENS Machine back in Oct. 2017. As I was having Insurance issues at the time, I will take responsibility for this order to have fallen through the cracks. However, once straightened out in Jan 2018, the order was renewed and expected to have it Feb. 2018... March 2018 - Nothing... After my contacting the Doctor, the PT Clinic and GSM, I found that the Prescription had completely disappeared, gone up in smoke and as such, it could not be found and no one bothered to follow up! Apr. 2018 - I contacted my Doctor and was told by them that the prescription had been fax'd twice in the past 2 weeks, but that they would do it again and then call to make sure it had been received! Another week - Called PT Tech... Says still no record of receipt???? WTF??? Does anyone actually do their job, anymore? A couple of days later... I get a call from a man named Bob Ramos from GSM... Very nice...Told me had all he needed, it would just be another 4-5 business days to dot the T's and Cross the I's... No problem.. Well it is now, May 2018... After calling Bob and leaving 2 messages, and getting no call back...I finally got through to him only to be told he had done this and he had done that but still needed this and still needed that...Anymore, I told him that at this point I was no longer interested in their equipment and that I would simply attach a negative lead, and a positive lead to a car battery and then attach the two leads to the area in my back where I seem to have the highest level of pain! Now, I don't specifically blame Bob... I mean he is merely an employee at GSM and he can't possibly be held accountable for their shortcomings... I mean hell, that would be like holding the chef at a 4 star restaurant responsible for the food being served raw! Wait a minute???

Our physical therapist, Steve O., was remarkable! On time to the minute on all 6 visits. He is extremely knowledgeable about hip surgery, and provided excellent, thorough, information and visual aids on recovering from it. To top it off, he is a great guy! Easy to talk to and ask questions of, with a great sense of humor. His last visit was today and we are going to miss him.

The office staff is not at all helpful and they will not schedule visits until the night before. Once you have been assigned someone, you can communicate directly with them - but until then dealing with the office staff is just awful. For the knee replacement, they sent a PT to do both PT and nursing duties. This individual was not qualified for wound assessment/care, and removed the staples too soon resulting in the wound opening - and now we are facing another month of wound treatment. We have had three different "case managers" and the communication has been dreadful. Very disappointing - I would not recommend them.

One visit with Dr. Greenlee and he is making me a believer! I'm a marathon runner and actually had to drop out of my marathon this past weekend at mile 19 when my leg completely seized up on me! I hadn't been able to walk since then...until today!! I went in on crutches not able to allow my leg to bear any weight and left there...still on crutches but now more as a support and he still advised me to use them for a couple days until the inflammation goes down. But I'm here to tell you, I left that office feeling so much better! I will see him on Thursday before I head out of town on vacation, and I am looking forward to walking city streets while I'm gone! He wants me to walk and use it as I can...and he can't make any promises but he thinks I may be out running again in 2 weeks! If you're a runner...you know that is the best news ever! I would never feel comfortable sending my daughter to this office since they require her to UNDRESS the top part of her body... Not recommended I…read morehad a terrible experience with Dan Hill and the staff at Hill Chiropractic. I went to him after a car accident and initially he seemed to be taking good care of me. However, after repeatedly asking him to charge my insurance (which covers chiropractic services) I realized that he was not billing my insurance and was instead accumulating a bill for me. He said that it would be no problem because it would be paid directly out of the lawsuit from the car accident. I studied the bills and realized that he was charging me THREE TIMES his posted rate. I stopped going to him because I was uncomfortable with his billing practices. Then he went against his word and did not wait until the lawsuit was complete, but wanted to be paid immediately. This was a large amount of cash out of my personal savings. After going through attorneys, things were finally settled after a lot of headache. I spoke with my insurance company and they said that what he did was not ethical and was insurance fraud. I would be very, very careful about going to see this deceitful person.
