The organization appears to disregard patient health. This is based on my experiences. Interacting with phone representatives recently was very unpleasant. The representative was rude, unprofessional, and completely indifferent to my needs. I suspect that since all of my relevant information was in front of the representative, my poor treatment was likely due to the organization's culture toward people of color. I called to schedule a heart procedure. The representative kept me on hold for nearly 10 minutes and only offered an appointment more than three months away. Call me crazy, but a heart procedure is serious and should be scheduled within less than three months. When I asked for her name, she gave it and then abruptly hung up. I called back to speak with her supervisor, but I was placed directly on hold. This happened three times. On the fourth try, I finally spoke with a new representative, but when I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was placed on hold for more than five minutes. When the representative returned, I was told the supervisor was too busy but would try to reach out the next day. I contacted the ombudsman, but they weren't much help either. I was given the runaround. Bottom line: be very cautious of Sutter Health. It seems that the organization's culture prioritizes revenue from monthly premiums over genuine patient care, especially for patients of color. read more

As a first time visit and as a walk in, I was very pleased with my experience at this urgent care. The lobby area was clean and the aesthetic was nice (as well as modern). The front desk person was professional, attentive, and friendly. The location is convenient with easy access to the freeways as well as other stores. I arrived shortly after they opened on a weekday and was fortunate to be seen within a few minutes. The medical assistant and the physician assistant were both wonderful. It was a relief to be treated with such care and consideration. I also appreciated how they took the time to listen to me as well as explain what they could and could not do. They did not rush which made me feel more comfortable being in their care. When I arrived, I could not hear out of one ear and the other ear was slightly clogged. They clearly communicated what they were going to do beforehand and also what I could expect. They were gentle in evaluating my ears and irrigating them. They knew I had just been to the doctor the previous day and had a painful experience resulting in inflammation in one ear. I appreciated their empathy. I recommend Sutter Walk In Clinic for those who can't get an appointment with their physician asap because Sutter Health can make appointments same day! I needed to get a TB test to be able to work at a public elementary school and Sutter Walk In came in clutch! I called in last minute and was booked next appointment available which was the next day. I was in and out within about 20-30 min. Quality service! Only bad thing I would say is the customer service was a bit awkward because it was either small talk or silent throughout the whole interaction and it made me feel uncomfortable. But that's just me! Doctor, doctor... thank you for helping a girl out! I had never been to a " walk in" care office, and up to my first visit, I figured that it was like urgent care. Nope! Not at all. It's actually a great alternative to going to see your personal primary care physician for a variety of things, but it's not intended to be a substitute for a regular visit. It's a great place to go if you or your family need vaccines of any type. Appointments are strongly encouraged. This ensures that the facility has the vaccines that your doctor has ordered. Once you step inside, you check-in with the receptionist. Wait times are fairly short. I love the decor of the waiting room and exam rooms! It's everything a doctors office isn't. It's bright and fun. The exam room doors are big barn doors, and each room has floral murals on the walls. If you get anxious, or you have family members that get anxious by being in a doctors office, this will surely put your mind at ease. The office appears to be run by assistants. Most of whom that have been in the field for awhile. I spent more time waiting ( less than 5 minutes) than I did in the exam room. Great staff! Super clean office! Parking is free! read more

I've never done walk-in care before, but I had a pleasant experience! I had to schedule an appointment the day before, however. The facility is also really nice and clean. The staff there are super nice, I felt really cared for. Honestly they got me in quick and tested me. I was too sick for them but they helped wheeled me back into my car and called the hospital. The doctor was very urgent about things. They are kinda limited on what they can see. But typically like minor illness like rashes, colds,flu etc... not for X-rays. read more

Made a same-day appointment for a flu shot at this Sutter Walk-In Care location in Natomas, in the same complex as Pizza Guys and Jersey Mike's. Was a little late for my appointment, but the clinic is open until 8pm and I filled out the form/clipboard fairly fast. The space is very modern and similar to the Sutter Medical Plaza on Benefit Way, with the sliding doors for the exam rooms and decor. This new Sutter Walk-In Care clinic is located in the Sprouts plaza in Natomas. We have visited this location twice and were impressed both times by the quality of care received. When you walk in you will immediately feel that it's very modern designed clinic with elements placed to provide some temporary relief to patients and visitors upon arrival. Right next to the reception desk is an area where you can get some refreshments such as cold water, granola bars, fresh fruits, candy, Keurig® machine with at least 7-8 types of k-cups from Cocoa, Tea, Chai Latte, Coffee etc. Few of the sofa chairs and seats have built in chargers so can charge your electronic devices while you wait. This is very thoughtful design and one less thing to worry for patients. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by the receptionist and he was very prompt in taking our information and completed the paperwork super quick and then went back to get the room ready upon which he roomed us. Wifey went inside with the sick kiddo while I remained out side with our little kiddo eyeing the snack bar. We were the seen fairly quickly as there was only 1 person ahead of us. Kids also get to pick a toy from their treasure box after each visit. If you use My Health Online then the visit summary is available right away which you can use to share with the patients primary care doctor. Urgent Care centers were always crowded and the wait time was usually hour plus. Hoping with this new Urgent Care addition it will reduce the wait times. Hope you guys don't ever have to visit any urgent care but if you do please check this one out and enjoy the snack bar while you wait. read more

Be forewarned: they only evaluate conditions "above the waist." I went in with a rash all over my abdomen, arms, and legs and they turned me away because it originated on my leg. The nurse practitioner said they are a "step down" to urgent care, treating things like pink eye and ear infections. I was given directions to the nearest urgent care on my way out. 1) What is the point of a clinic that can evaluate only half of the human body? Come on Sutter, just make it an urgent care. 2) When I scheduled my appointment online, why wasn't I prompted with this information? I wouldn't have come if I'd known. Waste of time. read more

I was turned away for service this Thursday after making an appointment. When I Was checking in I noticed the lobby was fairly empty one person waiting. Lobby is very clean and welcoming. The receptionist informed me she just called me to tell they could only help with a flu shot: I didn't feel like I was in need of urgent care but had a need to speak with a Doctor. The receptionist explained to me that a lot of customers are confused about what this office can actually do. Interesting that the receptionist thinks the customers are confused when it's called a walk in clinic. The receptionist her self was actually confused as she couldn't find me in their system. She did have to call for help and while one customer was in the lobby, the receptionist proceeded to speak out loud about my information. Possible HIPAA violation? Next: the receptionist performed my flu shot. She barely said a word. It was very awkward. She did not take my temperature. However my aftercare summary shows my temperature was 98.1°. I've attached a photo of the list of what they *might offer. I was also turned away for a video appointment with a Sutter doctor the next morning. I ended up visiting Natomas urgent care; please see my recent review they were epic! I'm considering switching health insurance carriers because I have that luxury and it is open enrollment season. read more

I came here as I got bitten by a dog. It was close to closing time so I was able to get seen pretty quickly. The staff was nice, however, the nurse practitioner that helped me seemed pretty unsure of what to do. She said that I needed to go to emergency because they didn't provide stitches there. I thought clinics do. She went back and forth. I got there and I was pretty calm, but the NP got me worked up. I am not sure if this I was the first time that she dealt with someone getting bit by a dog. Anyhow I ended up going to the emergency room. read more

My son was sort of walking around all hurt since he said he hurt himself during football practice. It had been a few days already so I was getting a little worried. I decided to go to the Sutter Walk-in Care not knowing if they had an x-ray machine or not. To answer your question before you come here, they do not. They send you out to another Sutter facility or you can just go to urgent care. They checked my son's ankle still just to see if she could tell if it was broken or just severely sprained since he couldn't put any pressure or weight on it. She couldn't but she did confirm that there was definitely something wrong with my son's ankle. Well, thanks. This place wasn't all that helpful but they were nice and friendly. Pro tip, if you think something is broken, don't come here. Just go to a Sutter facility or go to an urgent care with an x-ray machine. The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is because even though it says "walk in" in the name, they require appointments. We came in with a sick toddler and they did everything they could to accommodate us. The facility must be newer because it was really nice inside, as well as clean and comfortable. The front desk lady was so nice and checked us in as fast as she could (very helpful as we had an angry baby!) Despite not having an appt, she was able to slot us in and we really didn't wait long. The doctor was also really nice, clearly very knowledgeable, and treated our baby with care. I can confidently say this is the best facility of its kind that we've been to in Natomas. My entire experience here was great! I was able to schedule easily online and I even had someone reach out to me before my appointment to make sure I had everything I needed. I was checked in quickly and noticed just how clean and sanitized every area was. Each employee was kind, thoughtful and energetic. I was able to speak with Jessica about some ongoing symptoms and she really took her time asking questions to make sure I had what I needed. Walked in and they were really busy. They have hot tea and coffee and granola bars and fruit available for free. I had a 45 min wait, because I didn't have an appointment. I was seen by a physicians assistant. She was very thorough and extremely nice. The ma that roomed me was also nice. The receptionist took a while before she greeted me went back and fourth helping others. To be fair there was a sign that said someone would be right with you. The office is clean and brand new. Original flu appointment was rescheduled due to not having staff. We arrived in time for the rescheduled appointment and sat unattended for over 25 minutes. No ID verification, no vitals checked. I had to walk down the hall for the attention of a staff member. Then they reported that they where STILL understaffed. We got our vaccines, but anyone could have walked in and gotten their flu shot without any kind of verification. Will not return. read more

Receptionist is helping a patient check in. Can't figure out how to use the computer. Takes so long, the patient sits down. I step up, no eye contact with the person, no "I'll be with you in a moment", just picks up the phone and calls someone for help. Walked through how to use his computer. Still doesn't look at me, so I sit down. Receptionist walks back and forth to the back and finally puts the patient in a room. Twenty minutes later, he acknowledges me. When I am at the desk, he tells me that there are three people in front of me, with appointments and won't be able to see me for another two+ hours, at the earliest. Only one person was waiting, who came in after me. So much for being a "drop-in" clinic. Got an appointment with my regular doctor an hour later. I first went to the other Natomas location because online it said that was an urgent care. They sent me to this "Walk-In" Care Center without specifying that it wasn't actually an Urgent Care at all. When I arrived and said my son who is 5 is unable to walk and I have had to carry him all morning, I was told the first appointment available would be at 1020...2 hours after I arrived. The receptionist explained that they also took online appointments. I took the appointment and decided to wait to see if maybe someone wouldn't show up or maybe...I don't know...Someone like a DOCTOR would be concerned about sudden near paralysis in a 5 year old and actually see him. I saw 4 people come in with their kids or alone, checkin, be seen, and walk out. The doctor saw is sitting here in between each appointment. This place is TRASH!! As a concerned parent, I acknowledge that I care more than she does but how is this a WALK-IN Care Center if I am supposed to pack up all of my kids, wander Sacramento for 2 hours and come back to a WALK IN Center with a kid who CAN'T WALK?!!! This is not the place to go! Go down the street to urgent care. Staff is not competent here. Told the medical assistant what was wrong when I walked in and she said ok and fat I couldn't be seen for 2 hours because the Nurse practitioner, Rebecca Danielle Andrews, had call center appointments. So I waited. When I was finally called back they said I couldn't be seen there because they can't help with my issue. Would have been nice had I been told that 2 hours ago. Refused my son for his appointment because said they said they do not treat wrist injury. We needed to see if it was just a sprain or get an order for XRay if needed. I was told they "don't treat this and we can't see him", even though the website says strains and sprains. I really wanted to avoid exposing my son during covid to ER/Urgent care if possible and go to the local walk in with an appointment. A week later. This clinic takes the cake for any healthcare interaction I've had. My nerves were on edge walking up to the clinic because I am incredibly afraid of needles, and I was scheduled to get the COVID-19 booster. There was no wait for my appointment, and the MA (I think her name is Linda?) answered all of my questions regarding the paperwork. The nurse practitioner, Karla Plascencia, helped me remain as calm as possible. I told her about my fear, and she reassured me by informing me of the whole vaccine process. She welcomed all of my questions and made the visit as painless as possible. I will be coming to this location for all of my future vaccines, and if anyone doesn't want to be dismissed for asking too many questions (or if you're afraid of needles), I highly recommend coming to the Natomas clinic! read more
