Joe Hill came to my house to put up shelves in my basement created out of 2x3x8 and 1/2x4x8…read moreplywood. Joe worked an entire day with little to no supervision. During this time, he had help from my 15-year daughter to hold and bring him materially; another co-work and I cut his wood for him based on the instruction to put the shelves up as 12 in. width, 8 ft. long, and about 7 ft tall. You cannot make the most straightforward frames, no facing, no trim, no odd corners, etc., garage-like shelving. Joe put up less than 1/2 of the frame only. He had to take the frame down once for it not being level and again for not following the instruction given for the 12 in. wide shelves to be ripped out of the plywood. I have no idea what he did for the duration of time he was here. It took one of the guys helping me outside that day 1.5 hours to finish the entire room the next day w/o Joe Hill handyman services present. I will never use him and can not recommend him to anyone. He is an hourly wage employee that milks the clock and pretends to work when you come downstairs. We can't think of anything bad to say about Talon and his crew. Timely, courteous, and listened to all the needs of my family. Talon even tried to realign our satellite after they reset it but warning for everybody, you will need to call in advance to get your satellite realigned. Actually, there is one thing we'd like to say, it would be helpful if we would be notified in advance to call our satellite people so they could plan on coming out.

The main part of the house had a metal roof. There was an addition on the back that had asphalt shingles. There were some leaks where the two met. The metal roof had been put on over an existing asphalt roof and had holes where it had been attached and this allowed water to seep through to the older asphalt roof and caused some damage to the sheeting. They had to remove both metal and asphalt layers. They also replaced some of the sheeting. The whole thing was a mess. Now we have a beautiful new roof and no worries about leaks. The roof looks great and they did a very good job cleaning up the yard after the install.

I sent him the money up-front for the equipment but he failed to show up for multiple promised appointments. Very frustrating to block out our calendar and move around other appointments for him. A waste of time waiting for him, so we cancelled the job. He promised money back for the equipment. It's been three weeks. No money refunded yet.

He is a real professional who asked several questions before he came over. He was ready for the job with all the tools he needed and was very pleasant in explaining what went wrong with the equipment. He also freely gave me advice on how to prevent recurrence of the issue. He is an excellent professional and I highly recommend him for the high quality work he provides at a very reasonable price.
