Be careful with their promises…read more I had my implant installed by Dr Prabhu, and the crown on it was placed by my dentist (they do not do crowns at Oral Surgery Group). After a while the crown started to wobble. I came back to Dr Prabhu in hope that he would offer a quick fix to me. Initially he told me that he would just clean the assembly, but then he realized that it was too contaminated, and the implant has to be reinstalled. He told me that the whole job would be at no additional cost to me. He told me that he would do the implant reinstallation without charging me anything and he would reimburse my dentist for a new crown. Indeed he reinstalled my implant at no cost. However, when I had submitted to him a bill for a crown from my dentist (which I paid by myself), he stopped communicating with me. He does not reply to my calls or answer my numerous emails. I don't know if a verbal promise is legally binding, but it clearly would be more difficult for me to prove that he gave me that promise.

I did a lot of research on dental surgeons in NJ, and we were impressed with his reviews and expertise. Unfortunately, Dr. Erakat's lack of bedside manner and professionalism has deterred my daughter and me from moving forward with the surgery with his practice. Dr. Erakat walked into the room and immediately started to talk about my daughter's dental images. This was our first time at the office, we'd never met him before, and a preschooler would've known to walk in and at least say, "Hi, how are you? I'm Dr. Erakat" then lead into your spiel. So he came in and started talking at us, talking as if my daughter was an adult like I wasn't in the room, and he never checked to see if we had any knowledge about anesthesia or the procedure in general. After he finished talking at us, I looked at him and said, "Hello, nice to meet you," to give him a hint that he was shrewd and rude. Dr. Erakat spent maybe 5 minutes with us in total. He was very short, especially when I informed him that my daughter would be having a deviated septum surgery and asked him if there was a preference to have one of the surgeries before the other and the waiting period between surgeries. I've worked with and have seen an array of doctors, and unfortunately, Dr. Erakat was one of the rudest I've encountered. If the person going to perform surgery on my child can't give her the time and attention she deserves to make her feel comfortable, I don't want them anywhere near her. We will NOT return nor recommend this dental office. I don't know if Dr. Erakat is just really busy or if he didn't want to work with us. Either way, we will find a dentist that greets us, takes the time to explain the procedure, and someone who actually wants to work with us.

Even the hygienist (I forgot her name, but she took my xray photos) was super nice and answered my questions about the xrays. I ended up starting a 12 month plan with them. I paid $350 and thats covered my visit for that same day and also my next cleaning visit, plus I get 15% off future services -- like my fillings I am going back for in 2 weeks. Dr. Royzner did two root canals on me in one appointment and did so with the least amount of discomfort and consummate professionalism. The area where the roots attached to my jaw were badly infected and he managed to save both my teeth. My previous endodontist also did two root canals and the price that they quoted me for out of pocket with insurance was $1,000-$1,030 depending upon whether they had to take an X-ray or not. They ended up charging me over $1,800! (No wonder almost 25% of their reviews are one star!) At this practice I had the two root canals and they quoted me an out of pocket cost (with the same dental insurance mind you) of $1,000. That is exactly what they charged. Highly recommended!

I was in search of a surgeon who would remove it and scheduled an appointment with Dr. O. (as the office staff refer to him). I have never been treated so disrespectfully by a professional in all of my 66 years of life on this earth! Every statement he made was a direct insult in response to my telling him that the bone loss was causing the implant failure. He told me 'you are just repeating what you heard. We all have bone loss. You have no idea why you are in pain and it shows a lack of intelligence for you to say you know what it is! It could be something else'. He was cold and callous and expressed no compassion for the fact that I have been experiencing intermittent pain for 10 months. I walked out of that office humiliated and dejected. I cried on my way to the car and needed 10 minutes before I could compose myself to drive home. I have since gone to a periodontist who told me the answer was simple. As I already knew, the implant needs to be removed and a bone graft done. I believe I was a victim of sexism and ageism by this 'so called professional'. Also, Jaret, his assistant who was very kind to me prior to the doctor arriving, just stood by and seemed unphased by his behavior. I have taken the time to write this as the public needs to know.
