Secondly, when you sit down, try not to embarrass yourself by picking up the plastic display soup, wave down a waitress and she'll get you the real thing. And thirdly If you can't use chopsticks, please don't pretend that you can. Ask for a fork. Sushi Train is my favourite, I wish I was there right now, I wish I had a team of Sushi Train chefs in my kitchen making me delicious Sashimi. If you haven't been before well, the name is pretty self explanatory. Everyone sits around a big square table with a chef conveniently placed in the middle plating up sushi and putting it on the moving conveyor belt. This system calls for quick decisions though because once its come you have about 5 seconds to decide whether you want it or not. Prices are listed by the colour of the plate, I think the cheapest is $3.50. There is a separate menu for other stirfry dishes if you prefer, these are pretty good too.

I can't believe how busy this place is. I used to think that it was just a Friday lunch thing but…read morehaving gone there subsequently at other odd hours, I realise this is just the way it always is. It has been newly refurbed with interesting wall features such as the orange flowered screens that go up the wall and over the ceiling. You know a place is busy when there is a pack of chefs working just preparing the sushi, let alone how many they have out the back in the kitchen. Most Fridays there is a queue that trails out the door just to get a place to sit. Because of this, they have developed a raffle ticket system just to cope. Many will wait to get the booths which are certainly a better dining experience than being squeezed in like a sardine elbow to elbow with your neighbour; but even this can be fun. The sushi is certainly good. I used to get alarmed to see the plates of sushi piled up that weren't on the train, however, you soon realise that it gets turned over quickly enough. This sushi bar always has lots of different specials so you never get bored. One of my favourites here is the soft shelled crab rolls which are crunchy and tasty at the same time. I also got take away for the first time the other day. It is well set up for this in a self serve sort of way. The trays, tongs condiments, chopsticks and elastic bands are all on hand for you to select what you want from the train. I would thoroughly recommend this sushi bar but a good tip is to get your ticket early and then go and sit down outside and relax.

Sensational sushi!…read more Sushi Bar Genki is reminiscent of sushi bars in Japan with accompanying cries of "welcome" and "thank you" entering and leaving -in Japanese if course! A very comprehensive menu of sushi roll, nigiri, gunkan (yet to try), hand roll, sashimi, tapas and a la carte udon noodles. Asahi beer, sakes, plum wine & hot & cold green tea complete the full Japanese experience. Every plate tried was exceptionally fresh and the service was immediate, friendly and professional. Delightful staff guide us through the iPad ordering system and service is speedy. We are also encouraged to try freshly prepared plates from the train by our chef - a fantastic spicy tuna semi roll & the even tastier seafood deluxe jumbo roll. A perfect combination of train and bar experience with booths or tables for 2 if your personal space is feeling fragile. Oh yeah - sushi heaven!

You can spend hours being distracted by the iPads on the table or the seemingly family holiday photos of trips throughout Japan on the TV screens. However, it was the food that made it quickly evident why this place has deserved the 5 stars it has been receiving. I am a simple sushi slider and consistency of quality and freshness of fish is the key to a sea-mingly good meal. So here are my top picks: - Arrive between 3-6pm to start with a $5 pint of Asahi and snacks (lotus root crisps and endamame) special. - Start with an $8 plate of kingfish, tuna and salmon sashimi (chunky, tender and shiny raw fish shows signs of great quality and fresh seafood) - Salmon, kingfish and scallop ngiri should be next to add some rice to your palette - Finish up with the double zinger, super spicy hot salmon rolls (that's definitely not what they are called) but you will remember that they say they are super spicy and that without wasabi it's only a little kick to the mouth.

This wasn't such a big deal for us as we had a good group of friends sipping away at our wine which was only at a $10 corkage, so the time was well spent catching up. Food was the best Japanese I have had outside of Japan and would highly recommend to anyone who has been and knows what to expect. Will come back here for sure, just make sure you expect to wait a little bit longer for the food to come out as it must be made fresh to order which is a good thing :-)

The highlight is the food, plenty of traditional Japanese fare in small tapas sized serves that lets you order a number of selections from the menu without overeating Yas, the owner is very friendly - towards the very end of the night, depending on the clientele present, you may get to hear a sample of the Japanese heavy metal music that he loves! I highly recommended you check it out, I doubt you would be disappointed.

These guys have cracked on with a great alternative to the usual easy quick lunches available and kept it healthy and interesting. I dropped in on the very first day, so unsurprisingly it was busy. but even on the first day the awesome crew at Poké me knocked out the line in 20 minutes. my friends just visited today and said even after three business days only they got through much quicker. The lineup gave me time to consider what I was gonna buy. I've seen fancy Insta pics of amazing tuna so I honed in on the tuna. I think if they'd run out of tuna i' d have had a heart attack. but alas, they had the tuna. you get options of base: green tea soba noodles, pink rice or greens. I got greens. then you get the choice of some uber pimp salad choices like kimchi, julienne beetroot, cucumber, smashed avo, edamame beans, and plenty more. then when you get your choice of tuna, salmon, chicken or tofu you get to choose a sauce and sprinkles of spice. All worth it and all totally filling :-) they don't do cash so bring your card. drink choices are epic - I personally can't go past the UTonic. You want....UTonic. so tasty. Get in and grab a feed. The service is also great and efficient. Located adjacent to the Yoghurt Shop, Sun Mi's has a range of hot food and sushi choices you can pick and choose from in the displays, or order main meals from the menu on the wall. I always get the Bulgogi from the menu, with a side of green vegetable pancakes from the hot food counter. These savoury pancakes are vegetarian, tasty, and go well as a side. There are also delicious chicken wings - my boyfriend's favourite choice from the hot food counter. The Bulgogi just comes with steamed rice, so simple yet so yummy! A range of sushi is also available but I have never tried any so I can't comment on the taste, as I come for the hot food! The seating is a bit of a hassle for me though. You sit at the counter, on bar stools. There are only about 8 stools so you can imagine what it's like over lunch time. Well, takeaway is available, and I see a lot of people just stopping by for sushi or vegie pancakes. Also, the prices are very affordable considering Korean food is sometimes a bit on the higher pricing end. Another plus!

From the moment I polished off my first teriyaki chicken sushi roll from here, there was no turning back. And since I have returned many times to enjoy their sushi. It is always cold and fresh and delicious. Nice and dense and the seaweed breaks correctly when you bite it, it isn't all chewy and stringy. Their sushi is some of the best in Adelaide in my opinion. Always a solid choice for lunch.

Ok, today's Friday, and I had just finished my gym workout, and suddenly had cravings for sushi this afternoon. You know what I'm talking about...that post-workout craving that only sushi can eliminate. This is an on-and-off spot. It does get quite empty for a little while, and then all of a sudden, half a dozen people are lining up. (Plus it would be the only thing I could stuff my face with and still have room for more yelping afterwards.) And guess what? It was a PERFECT "starters" food. I've never been happier buying only two pieces of sushi. Cherry Blossom Sushi was selected merely on convenience and the fact that I didn't have to walk very far upon entering Rundle Mall. I just browsed their website, and it looks very simple and ordinary. I don't get why they chose green font against a green background, doesn't help me at all. In this case, their website took one star off for me). I didn't have to wait long before two of the servers greeted me, so no problems there. The store had no line whatsoever upon arriving. This is a first no-liner for a sushi bar. Anyway - from this point forward, my experience was less than amazing. My order (only 2 rolls) was already made and ready to be picked up from the window counter, and wrapped up pretty quickly. They included the necessary bits like soy sauce, wasabi, and teriyaki sauce...but you have to grab the napkins and chopsticks off the top of their counter. The sushi was cold as, but tasty nonetheless - and big ups for choosing a delicious Japanese/Indonesian drink for me...not the usual drink I get. (I felt trying a new drink.) Overall, I got what I needed and moved on quickly to the next spot, as there's no time to waste!
