Having dined my way through a lot of sushi train's in Brisbane I can confidently say that Northside does boast some gems. Not to be overlooked is this little sushi train on the bustling Gympie road. With great service I usually get seated in a jiffy, then get to sit back, relax and watch that little train come chugging my way. The sushi is fresh, wholesome and filled with all of the usual favourites, Steaming gyozas, crackly tempuras and all manner of meat and rice combinations. (The eel and salmon are my personal favourites.) Prices are super reasonable (around $4 - $8 per plate ) and with locations doted around Brisbane Sushi train is a definite must-try experience.

Sushi Train Aspley is my go to sushi train in Brisbane. I love their Teriyaki Chicken and Avocado roll, Tuna and Avocado roll, Pork Gyoza and Sweet Chili Karaage. Their Teriyaki sauce is ridiculously delicious, and is also available in sauce packets, if you feel like a bit more or taking some home. The staff are friendly, though it can be a bit hard to get their attention when it is really busy. Expect to wait a little while to be seated, if visiting around 7PM on a Friday or Saturday night, as they are very popular. There is plenty of free parking. The plates and drinks are reasonably priced, you can expect to pay around $25 if you have 5 - 6 plates and a drink. They also have a loyalty program where you can earn points, which can be used towards saving a few $$ on future visits or items such as sushi shaped lollie pops, mugs, USB drives etc. Drop in and give them a visit if you are in the area, you won't be disappointed!

This place is always busy... Though we went on Friday lunchtime and surprisingly it was quiet, we even got a booth. The food is always consistent and they often add new items to move with the current trends. This trip we tried an aburi wagyu roll which was good.

Fantastic food and great service. The only challenge is stopping yourself from eating too much :)

The chain opened up a restaurant five minutes down the road from me, I was excited but reluctant to try it at first but since have returned several times. The variety on the train is a little bit limited in comparison to the Tenerife location, which is obviously because they aren't quite as busy yet. But they have the same expansive menu which they are happy to make you anything from in a timely manner. The taste of the sushi to my shock and absolute AWE is exactly the same as the Crazy Fish Sushi in Tenerife! The sashimi is incredibly fresh, the temperature is perfect, the texture of the rice faultless, which I have found to be a challenge to find. Crazy Fish Sushi, is a formidable sushi chain and I foresee many a visit to this new location! Quality product and service is important as is consistency, after an unsteady beginning, this Crazy Fish is swimming straight.

I went there the other night at 8.20pm, when they were still open and were not closing till 9pm, I…read moreasked for the most simple thing, a seaweed salad and they said they were not going to make anything more and that the only things I could have were on the train. I think it really depends who is working at the time, the two people working that time were not bothered to do anything.
