Glad they have a happy hour 4-7 M-F! Prices come down from super expensive to basically normal. The rolls are delicious as are the calamari and tempura. Staff are really pleasant and the place has a nice look and feel. read more

Unfortunately, we had to leave because the service was so poor we sat for at least 30 minutes before a server came to the table and another 30 plus before we decided to leave since there were no drinks or appetizers in site. We often come to the bar here while waiting to pick up our son at school. We ordered a roll and the manager, Gonzalo, who is incredibly lovely and beyond knowledgeable about food and drink, recommended a roll that is not on the menu, that has a touch of guava. OMG! We don't mind leaving a tip but we don't like it when it's pushy ... plus, tips are normally given when a service is provided such as serving our table, water, taking our order , bringing the food. Finally we have a great sushi restaurant in our neighborhood! Currently under new management, I was pleased to find the restaurant lively and wonderfully pleasing to the eye. The service was great only to be outdone by the menu. The best fried rice, fresh fish, and a full bat made for the perfect dinner. I have been to this Sushi Sake location at least ten times, and I've always had good service and great food. This review is a combination of all the times I've dined here alone or with friends. I love a good special fried rice. My favorite at Sushi Sake is the sunset fried rice, which brings chicken, steak, shrimp, and an egg on top. I opted out of the shrimp since I'm allergic, but it's still delicious! For appetizers, you guys should try the veggie spring rolls, crab rangoons, twisted tostones, and cheese maki. My friends really like the sushi rolls here as well. I'm very adamant about the hibachi steak or chicken wow, exceptional taste. The ambiance and decor are really nice, with a very chill vibe! This location is not my favorite of the countless sushi sakes within miami. I've been here at least 6 times and it isn't very consistent. Some days I am greeted by a host and others I am not. I've had good food here like today where everything was hot, fresh and crispy but I have also had mediocre food here where the carrots in the fried rice are not cooked and the food gets delivered to the wrong table. On a different note I will say the sushi is always fresh which is very important so I give them props for that. They are still within their first year of opening so I'm hoping that they will get better with age. read more

We've given this establishment several tries mainly since it's close to our home but absolutely not worth the price or time. Very disappointed with the temperature of my sushi, wasn't cold enough for being raw. Truly makes me wonder the risks! Service isn't ideal. One time we were rushed, constantly being asked if we wanted anything else to give us the check. Another time we were sat and left there waiting, we literally up and left after 20 minutes. No one approached us or questioned the fact we got up. Other time the manager or whomever this person was, very, extremely, exhaustingly obnoxious! Possibly doesn't even come close to describing how uncomfortable this person made us feel. He went on talking about things and interrupted our meal talking about himself. The manner employees were treated in multiple occasions by this manager was unprofessional. To be honest I don't know whose decision was it to have this person in management but you should reconsider. Sad when it's obvious your own staff doesn't like you. This particular manager treats and caters to those tables ordering bottles and believe me when I say that he only cares of those tables. How petty! Servers vary, meaning some are on top of your order and outstanding service! Others simply disappear. No water, empty glasses and they walk by not even acknowledging there isn't any water and drinks. The edamame's have been brought frozen in two occasions. Sometimes the rolls are mainly rice very little fish. Delivery or take out is another story, don't recommend. Parking is horrendous. Parking spaces vary in size! Restroom is 1 & 1, only. No baby changer. Quality, has been a lottery! Hope someone steps up and turns this place around. Prime location and great layout. read more

One star is too kind. Just left right now after waiting 30 mins after being seated. First time coming here and definitely my last. Was sat by 7:00 and checked at 7:33 and we have yet to been served water (menus have been closed for 15 minutes). After giving too much patience we called the manager over and obviously complained. The manager showed no sense of sympathy or responsibility. We let him know we did not want anything and were leaving, no apology at all. I haven't been to any Sushi Sake in over two years because I think they're way too over priced for the shitty food they give, and today was a reminder of why I stay away!! Not only did they forget my fried rice with my hibachi order, but they also gave very few pieces of veggies to go with it. The chicken was unseasoned and some of them were even undercooked. To top it off, my child's rice for his chicken teriyaki was over cooked and disgusting! (The chicken was also unseasoned and undercooked for this meal as well) I WASTED $43 thinking maybe it'll be good, but they never fail to show just how much they suck, no matter how much time passes by. The restaurant it's so cozy and so beautifully decorated, Top Notch and extraordinary to say the least. The Manager Mr Gonzalo, and our Waiter Julio not only were extremely professional and courteous but they also went above and beyond to make sure everything was excellent. I absolutely love Sushi Sake. Unfortunately I've been visiting different locations and they have been disappointing me with the fried rice. Not this location! The fried rice was soooo amazing! I ordered the fried for two. My first time trying this exact one, and I was not let down at all. The fried egg on top made it a 10/10. I also ordered the Miami Heat Roll (one of my favorites) unfortunately the tempura crumbs on top gave it a really funny taste. I did not like it. I also ordered the Volcano roll and the Bagel.... (something roll) can't remember the name by they were super delicious. Other than the Miami heat roll, I had a really good experience and plan on returning in the future! read more

I ordered pick up when this horrible service and experience occurred. I have ordered here before.. This last time a suspicious employee asks for my card info on the phone which was already weird since I always pay when I get there. Anyway she proceeds to give me attitude after refusing to give a 20% tip on a pick order. It gets better. That was the last time my card was used until this employee splurged on my card all weekend and even ordered over $80 of food from this place. So a manager was spoken to but honestly, I'll never go back because it has been enough time for them to reach back out to apologize for this. read more
