I hired Ben and his team for a small 70th birthday dinner for 8 people, and while I knew the food would be amazing because I enjoyed it before at a wedding and a corporate event but it honestly exceeded all expectations from every single guest. Considering this was a more last minute inquiry, they were still super easy to work with. Ben and the chef created a customized sushi menu just for us and made sure we would get our "must have" ingredients that would satisfy the request of the birthday boy while ensuring the ingredients were all fresh. The food was absolutely amazing -- every course was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The pacing was spot-on, too. Each dish was prepared by Chef Calvin at the right time, so we could relax, enjoy, and really appreciate each course in between our drinks. It felt like we were enjoying our very own high-end omakase meal, but in the comfort of our own home. Our guests were blown away, and my DAD couldn't stop talking about how special the night felt. The attention to detail, presentation, and personal touch made it an unforgettable experience. Something like the temperature of the rice, and the ratio of rice to fish for pieces of nigiri did not go unnoticed. Ben was super responsive to my inquiries and offered great suggestions that worked for our event's budget and added custom details to match the theme of our celebratory event. Last weekend we hosted our staff Christmas Party here in our home. We were delighted with the experience. Ben was excellent to deal with in the planning stages. Chef Kevin and his assistant arrived fully self contained and got right to work. They were completely comfortable in our kitchen...needing no help from us:) All we had to do was enjoy the delicious food and mingle with our company. The beautifully displayed creations just kept coming and kept being enjoyed. There was plenty of food... lots to be enjoyed the next day as well. I don't usually write review for food, but I have to write one for Sushi Private Catering. They have impressed me from beginning to finish. I thought the quality of sushi was just going to be standard and probably same as the sushi restaurants out there. I was totally wrong, the fish was so fresh and I had to keep going back to the station to grab more. Chefs are so quick making sushi and I never had to wait. i don't usually see party with just sushi, but this actually turns out to be really nice. I really enjoyed it.
