Not too bad. Delivery (ordered online) - rice sticky enough. Meat nice not too old not too fresh. Enjoyable.

Adorning one of the walls are solar powered neko cats that wave to you from the window. On the walls are interesting art pieces, one in particular with instructions on how best to enjoy ramen. Serving us most the night was the main chef himself who observed us smile with ease at every first bite we took of each dish served. The food was quite good. Small portioned with intentions to share with others; three to four dishes are plenty for a party of two. We were starving so we ordered quite a bit. Sashimi was okay, nothing worth raving about. However, they did have two types of soy sauce for sashimi. They had the traditional Kikkoman soy sauce which is often used for sushi and sashimi and then they had the Shibanuma soy, which was ever so slightly thicker and sweeter IMO. The Shibanuma is meant intentionally to be tasted with sushi and sashimi, not to be cooked with as the server mentioned. It was tasty, most defintely. Honorable mentions were the mongolian beef stew, which came piping hot and delicious. Picture does not do the dish justice. Meat was fall apart tender, full of spice and flavor. Probably best paired with a neutral side, like white rice but we got stir fried udon noodles instead. Udon noodles were delicious as well. Simple yet well made. Noodles had good chew to them and came out piping hot. Overall, nice restaurant to try out if you're in East Amsterdam by oosterpark and craving good variety asian food.

Sumo Sushi & Grill was located conveniently close to our hotel, and with a sushi craving hitting me hard, I talked everyone into coming here for a late lunch. While they do have a la carte options, I felt like the all you can eat was a better deal, especially if you plan on ordering more than a couple items. Their fish selection is pretty limited, but I was excited that they had a decent number of tuna items. I went a little hard on that and ordered a bunch of tuna cut rolls and nigiri. They do have a lot of rules at this place, though we found the ordering process pretty straight forward, and the waiter was pretty helpful in explaining everything. There are only a couple items on the menu that cost extra, but be careful. Overall, I thought the sushi quality was pretty disappointing. The tuna nigiri was especially bad, with the tuna rolls being a little more appetizing. If looking for a sushi restaurant in Amsterdam, you can probably do better than this, at least I hope. If you don't mind low quality fish, this place will suffice, however, if you are used to good sushi, you'll likely be disappointed. Food aside, service and ambiance were both nice. No complaints in that department.

But the limitations and restrictions on the "all you can eat" aspect of it really bring it down. You can only order 5 times, like 5 pieces of sushi or 5 things. They have options, but not THAT many. Also, you're time restricted etc. It just makes everything less fun and kind of a pain. The portions are also small, so I mean, it really wasn't all I could eat.
