I was absolutely THRILLED to discover they serve gluten free tempura! A note for celiacs that they use a shared fryer. Dinner was promptly served and delicious. Tempura was a little greasy, but I haven't had tempura in years and it was gone in a flash. Also to note, on the menu Crab meat = imitation crab stick. Not gluten free variety. Kamaboko. For land-locked sushi, they have very reasonable prices. A sweet and thoughtful touch - dessert was waiting for me when I finished - a nice fresh bowl of ice cream!

A cute little Japanese family owns and runs it. The service was great. Our server was very friendly and accommodating to our requests for changes to menu items. The food wasn't lightening fast, but we weren't sitting around waiting for it forever either. And the rolls weren't quite as tight as they could have been. But those are my only two complaints, and I'd hardly call them even that. Otherwise, the rolls were DELICIOUS. We both enjoyed them a lot. Super fresh Ingredients, excellent tasting rice and good combinations of flavors (We ordered the Mexican and the Rainbow Dynamite). I'll definitely visit here again.

Formerly Sushi Joe's (but had never come here before). You might drive past it thinking it's an older house or roadside motel but you'd be mistaken and super sad to miss out on this place! Spacious inside with a variety of seating! Clean and bright (despite the torrential hailstorm and water leaking in through the doorjam/roof - think monster storm!). The staff quickly mopped up water, put ip a wet floor sign, and didn't miss a beat. Our kids ordered the beef teriyaki and loved the flavours but we're admittedly disappointed there wasn't more beef on the platters. I loved the veggies served underneath and the fish also came with a small bowl of white rice with sesame seeds on top. Both kids noted that they wished there was more sauce or a side of sauce to have on the rice and I think this would be a good addition. Hubs and I shared tempura Udon (excellent - broth was perfection), TNT (not spicy despite the description but still yummy), and paradise roll (love the mango/smoked salmon combo). It was our daughter's birthday so we celebrated with deep fried banana and ice cream - it was delicious but I was surprised to find out it was $10.95 when the bill came. All our food was delicious, artfully presented, and came in generous portions. Easily the highlight of our meal. While the restaurant was a little dark for a noontime meal, the place was clean and well decorated. Our server was a little shy and timid but was eager to please and accommodated our special orders with a cheerful smile. Their menu came with a great variety of options and even those who may be intimidated with the thought of sushi will find many non-sushi selections to appease them. Came around 11:30am when they opened and was greeted by the waitress who had a welcoming and friendly smile. She was very attentive and checked up on me often so a positive for customer service. I started with their Ebi Sunomono. It was quite plain and simple, definitely expected more for a $4.50 appetizer. Not a problem though because I did enjoy the sushi. Recommend the Salamander roll or if you want something light and refreshing have the salmon roll with cream cheese. Their salmon roll alone was fantastic as well.
