I was absolutely THRILLED to discover they serve gluten free tempura! A note for celiacs that they use a shared fryer. Dinner was promptly served and delicious. Tempura was a little greasy, but I haven't had tempura in years and it was gone in a flash. Also to note, on the menu Crab meat = imitation crab stick. Not gluten free variety. Kamaboko. For land-locked sushi, they have very reasonable prices. A sweet and thoughtful touch - dessert was waiting for me when I finished - a nice fresh bowl of ice cream!

We were actually on our way to another Yelp-suggested Japanese restaurant when the "Sushi Sushi"…read moresign caught our attention. It's a tiny little place, maybe 4 tables and 3 booths. A cute little Japanese family owns and runs it. The service was great. Our server was very friendly and accommodating to our requests for changes to menu items. The food wasn't lightening fast, but we weren't sitting around waiting for it forever either. And the rolls weren't quite as tight as they could have been. But those are my only two complaints, and I'd hardly call them even that. Otherwise, the rolls were DELICIOUS. We both enjoyed them a lot. Super fresh Ingredients, excellent tasting rice and good combinations of flavors (We ordered the Mexican and the Rainbow Dynamite). I'll definitely visit here again.

Ordered here for the first time, takeout! Sushi was presented beautifully, I asked for "light rice"…read moreon all rolls and they were done perfectly. The tempura was super fresh, crispy and light. The ONLY complaint I have is that the seaweed salad was a pretty small portion for almost $10, and it was slightly dry, not as moist as other seaweed salads I've had. Other than that, everything tasted amazing and I will definitely be ordering here again. The staff were super nice when I went to pick up my order.

The atmosphere felt noticeably different. The manager (a woman) and one of the staff members (an older Asian lady) were surprisingly unaccommodating and even confrontational. The situation became so uncomfortable that even other customers seemed to be acting unkindly and immaturely, which leads me to believe the staff may have spoken to them about us. It's especially disappointing because there were two empty tables for four and one for two, none of which were reserved -- yet we were still made to feel like an inconvenience. We're sad and disappointed by today's experience, especially at a restaurant we've enjoyed in the past.

My friend and I started with crisp house salad with Japanese vinagraitte, a lovely potato fritter and agadashi tofu, which was perfectly crisp on the outside and creamy on the inside. For the main course I had the tuna tataki, and a salmon combo (I was hungry!) and my friend sampled various interesting types of sushi (one had mango, cucumber and shrimp, I think) and the miso soup. Everything was flavorful, fresh and even the pieces of carrot were cut into cute shapes. I would have expected much higher prices for the level of sophistication in these dishes. For dessert we enjoyed a beautifully-cut selection of fresh fruit. As they are a new restaurant they are taking suggestions to add to their menu, so we suggested ice cream in Coconut and Mango as a nice accompaniment. The service was excellent, the young waitress was cheerful and knowledgeable and told us the middle-aged couple who prepared and brought the food were the owners. It's nice to see a family working so well together. I learned that although this restaurant was new, the owners had many years of experience in the restaurant industry, which certainly showed. This is the kind of place we need to support, a well-run local establishment that takes pride in a job well done. I spent about $45 and had leftovers to take home, which were still fresh when I ate them the next day. Overall, one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. I'd recommend it for date nights, celebrations or just when it's time to treat yourself. Enjoy!

This might have become my favourite soup. Medium spicy with a delicious tang and what seemed to be bottomless shrimp since the kitchen is so generous with the portions. (Taking a plastic container of leftovers home.) My husband had a sweet and spicy chili beef dish with veggies. He is a meat and potatoes kind of guy, but he said he would order this again. We also order Crispy Fried Wonton to start. Surprisingly good. Our waitress, Claudine, was new, but very attentive and helpful.
