Very authentic Japanese restaurant! We met a Japanese friend…read morehere who recommended this place as his favorite lunch place. Lunch offering: We chose the lunch offering, which was a Japanese buffet. All kinds of Japanese dishes were offered; Sushi, Chicken, rice... everything was delicious. Price: although it was a buffet, the prices were okay from our point of view. We paid 13 or 14 euros per person but it was definitely worth it! Parking: it is a little difficult to find a parking spot right in front of the restaurant. Come with your bike of public transportation to avoid the annoying search for a parking spot. :)

German .. for english scroll down…read more Der erste Eindruck: japanisch schlichte Einrichtung. Preis: 130 Euro Qualität (0-10): 7 Service (0-10): 1 ****** english ***** My first impression when I entered the room: spartanic location. When in Japan - you´ll experience not many locations that look so empty. Really. But I´m not making comments on the location - I´m here to talk about the food and service. For people that are not familiar with the many possible options of the japanese raw fish dishes and options that are available - the card is overwhealming. What I found is that this seems to be the only japanese restaurant in or near Nuremberg offering the japanese Soup dish "Ramen". The food quality and amount of different Sushi is good. The Tuna Sashimi was really smooth - similar to what I experienced in good places in Japan. Ramen was really authentic. If you go for the Bento box and mix on what ever you want - you´ll land at € 20. Now the downside of the visit. As good as the food was - the service was a mess. The waiter was waiting .... and waiting.... and waiting - but for what. The room was not crowded. we asked several times for service - and it didn´t come. The long haired service guy seemed to be bored and was found drinking or playing with a bogey. Even if we asked - he didn´t show up - until we asked for the bill.... The room was cold and we needed to switch on the heating ourselves. This location was like Antarctica..... except the snow. KomeKome: my biggest wish is that you serve your guests like it is common in Japan when a guest shows up. Not with a non-service like that. Then you are entitled to get paid like it is common in Japan in better places. And then - but only then - I´ll come back. I was pursued to visit the KomeKome due to the positive reviews. In the end I was really, really disappointed. Not by the food. But the service was the worst I experienced since a long, long time. Long speech - short summary: good food - terrible service - because of the service: Probably never again. Number of people: 5 (Family) Food ordered: Sushi, Sashimi, Ramen, Tempura, Asahi Beer, Green Tea, Ice from Green Tea and Sesame Bill: € 130 Quality (0-10): 7 Service (0-10):

There were three two other tables occupied, but no one was trying their sushi for lunch today. We were fortunate to be seated right away without reservation for lunch. Ambience was very nice with some soft Asian BGM. The restaurant looked well put together and clean even though there was only silk-flowers on the tables. Our server was a very pleasant, courteous and efficient young man. Drink orders came out quickly, and our food came out pretty fast from the kitchen. An older lady who took care of my bill was not too friendly or pleasant, and I got an impression that she really didn't want to be taking care of her customers. I had pho with beef...very good broth, and beef had a very good flavor--perhaps a bit salty, but it was good nonetheless. What I didn't expect was the lack of sweet basil or slices of lime (I suppose things are bit different here compared to what it is in US). I felt vegetables (onions, bean sprouts and cilantro) were on the light side, too. Noodles came out in one big ball, and I had to work it for a while to get them loosened up. Nonetheless, I enjoyed it very much. My wife had fried rice with chicken. It had some good flavors. We were both satisfied with our lunch choices.

Instead, you get a huge plate full of different kind of sushi, and once you're finished you can ask for more. The next plates won't be as big and it's always the chef's choice, so you don't get to choose what kind of sushi you want (apart from vegetarian or vegan, you can always ask for those options), but it's a nice alternative to the other sushi places - and I like surprises! =) The price is really low, 10.90€ for all you can eat, including a starter of your choice. It is probably not the best sushi of all times, but it also not bad at all - considering the low price, the quality is really decent and you definitely won't go home hungry. Quite the opposite, I still feel sick because I really had too much!!! (So sick in a good way...kinda...) Bottom line: * nice little sushi place * all you can eat that will leave you breathless...because you just HAD to have one... more... plate!!! * great food for a nice price at a nice location!
