Sushi House is one of my favorite sushi places around town. I've only ever order takeout, and I've never had problems with any of my orders. It's always so tasty and the tempura remains crunchy by the time I arrive home from pick-up.

"Chirashi"
Jay V.

So, I came here on a whim because I wanted chirashi. The place looks very unlike a traditional sushi restaurant. But, then again, it's in the same place as a Little Caesar's. Although, now I know whee to go for my chain pizza cravings. The place has a bunch of cheesy sushi signs that made me second guess my decision. I mean, all I really wanted was vinegary rice and raw fish either dutifully placed on top, or wrapped up around the rice. I'm not discriminatory. How bad could it be, right? Well, then I walk in. Like I said, not a very traditional sushi place. Sure, they got an aquarium with love fish inside, and a sushi bar in the back, but with the banners spelling out SUSHISUSHI above the bar, I should have been even more wary? Was i? READ ON!!!! Ok so I sit down, peruse the menu, decide I definitely want the chirashi. So I order it. You know how good the service is? After placing my order, I was asked AGAIN what I wanted to order!! These chuckleheads saying they get bad service must be either blind, forgetful, or just plain in observant. I got so much service it was like double service! Anyway, the food finally arrives. What am I treated to? A big plate, with about if teen sashimi pieces scattered about, and thinly sliced cucumber buffering the fish and the rice. The rice? About a tiny bowlful. Now, I'm not one to complain when people buck trends, so I won't. This was simply not the traditional way one serves chirashi. Normally, chirashi is a bunch of sashimi pieces in a large bowl overflowing with more rice than you could possibly finish in a week, not a plate full of islands (if islands be a disparate set of food items). (Okay, maybe disparate is the wrong word.) I ate it all and was starving for more because I was expecting heaping mounds of rice. Bit, it's just not traditional. Very forward thinking of this place to not look like a traditional sushi dive and to not serve food in a traditional way. Kudos to you!

I love this place. We are so happy to have such an awesome sushi restaurant so close by. We have been coming a lot lately too!! The menu has a great selection, the food is always fresh and the service is the best I think I have ever had at any restaurants. I am addicted to their "green roll", I get it every time. The avocado salad is another favorite. I love their ginger dressing! I highly recommend you checking this place out!!

The service is just ok. The portion of the lunch special is small, the sushi is not fresh. I don't know why this place has so many good review. We came here due to the good review from Yelp but I wish I had choose another place instead.

This is what they call spicy tuna roll:(

One of the worst sushi places I've ever been to! Food is bad and service is even worse. Stay away from this place.

We came here with a Saturday night reservation for the Kotobuki Omakase option. The team at Naoki sushi all works very well together and the entire experience was super special and went very smoothly. I love the simple atmosphere and decor, it is relaxing, bright and very authentically Japanese. There wasn't a single thing that wasn't delicious in its own way. The fish was super fresh and I'm still dreaming about the melt-in-your-mouth uni. You can tell that you get what you pay for here in terms of quality.

This place is small and intimate with only 8 sushi bar seats and 8 table seats. A great vibe and ambiance to watch your sushi chef expertly prepare your meal. Unfortunately, a couple decided to bring their small children that were talking very loudly and had occasional screams. There is a place and time to bring your kids dining and fine dining isn't one of them. Our favorite appetizer was the chanwanmushi! They packed so much umami into such a small dish and the texture of the egg was like silken tofu. My husbands favorite piece of nigiri was the otoro as the tuna was so fatty and just melted in your mouth. Mine was the uni spoon which was a small dish of uni, ikura, caviar, and rice. The hand rolls were a highlight too! After the 6 courses are done you're able to order ala carte and I'm so glad I got an ikura hand roll. Service is impeccable and everyone was very kind and thoughtful. Overall a great experience and an omakase spot we would come back to.

Inside were shrimp shumai, gyoza, Chili Korean Bao, a two-protein poke burrito stuffed with crab meat and spicy tuna, plus a spicy tuna roll and a spicy scallop roll. This is more food than any two people strictly need, which is one of civilization's finer achievements. The good news: nothing was bad. Not a single bite asked to be forgiven. The shrimp shumai were the clear overachievers: plump, warm, and reassuring, like a friendly lecture from someone who actually did the reading. The spicy scallop roll was their equal, delivering that perfect balance of heat and sweetness that makes you briefly optimistic about the future of humankind. The poke burrito was ambitious, a bold little manifesto wrapped in rice and seaweed. Crab meat and spicy tuna got along just fine, though the whole affair leaned more toward "good" than "revelation." The spicy tuna roll was solid and dependable, like a Midwestern uncle who always shows up on time. The gyoza and Chili Korean Bao did their jobs honorably, though neither demanded a standing ovation. Everything arrived intact, flavorful, and prepared by people who seemed to care, always a comfort in an indifferent universe. Four stars, then, because perfection is suspicious and because it's nice to leave something to strive for tomorrow.

I'd very much recommend ordering takeout. The place inside was actually very nice and had a good vibe... but there was an overwhelming chemical smell that I could have never been able to eat around. The good news is that it was definitely from some sort of cleaning product. Disinfectant? Bleach? Degreaser? Sanitizer? So from a cleanliness perspective, im reassured that they are thorough. From an appetizing perspective. Not so much. 2.5 stars Summary: I'd definitely order take out from here again in a minute.
