But that only made my dining experience peaceful as that didn't change the quality of service. The waitress that took my order was prompt and the food came out quickly. The miso was comforting and the salad, although simple was so delicious (with what seemed to be a light-citrusy dressing. ) I can't remember the exact meal combo I ordered but it came with a fantastic assortment of nigiri, all so fresh and flavorful. I've gotten delivery from these guys numerous times but have never eaten in person. What has always impressed me about their delivery is the care they take in packing up the food. Tucked away on the border of Chinatown, I never even knew this place existed. I decided to finally try them in person. I ordered the agedashi tofu, negi toro roll, and yellowtail jalapeno roll. This place is Chinese run so you can definitely argue that it's not the most authentic Japanese restaurant, however, it's one of the better neighborhood sushi spots. It's more of a to-go place, I was the only person seated in the restaurant at the sushi counter (but to be fair I was here at a weird time, around 4:30). The inside of the restaurant is nice and low-lit, I think it'd be a nice place to come in and have dinner during regular hours. I ordered the 6 piece chef special sushi that came with a miso soup and salad, plus a maki roll. I was really craving a toro roll which cost an extra $5, but no matter, all that food for $40 was worth it to me. The salad here had a really nice dressing on it that was citrus-ey and light, but it was mostly just lettuce on the plate. The miso soup was a hearty portion. The sushi pieces tasted very high end, only one of them tasted a little bit off but the rest were flavorful featuring different toppings, some of which were spicy. The toro roll was also perfect. Overall, great value for fresh sushi. If I lived closer this would be my go-to takeout spot for sure. read more

Nice enough presentation, but the fish speaks loudly itself: uni, hirame, tai, ama ebi, chu toro, and of course hamachi, toro, sake, saba, and tako. I wish I'd take photos but was too polite to my companions to do so. Skip the hot dishes -- the agedashi tofu was nicely presented but the old tasted old. This is really a sushi and sashimi place. (And I skip the complex sushi rolls, opting for the classic ones.) The street, on a 90 degree day was disgusting, but the inside is nicely appointed (with the bamboo boxes from uni adorning the walls) and the sake selection nice (although I don't drink). One of the best sushi places I have been to in the Lower East Side. Everything was fantastic.

I went here with my friend after looking for something refreshing near by. The restaurant doesn't have many tables and the tables weren't full but we sat down anyways. That night the air quality wasn't great and it was the middle of the week. We sat down and the server was super nice and recommended us some specials that sounded delicious. Since I never went here before I figured I'd order something I deemed safe. I had the 2 roll combo which came with soup and salad. I got the negi toro roll and the spicy yellowtail roll. The negi toro was so fresh and flavorful I was blown away. The spicy yellowtail had crunchy inside and it was so delicious. The miso soup was nothing special but it was nice to have something warm with the meal. My friend ordered a special roll and tomago roll and really enjoyed both. We will definitely be back. What an unassuming spot for such high quality sushi! It was a quiet Thursday evening when we dined in, but noticed that staff were all-hands when handling pickup/delivery orders. It's a casual yet pleasant environment; lowkey feels like a hidden gem. Prices are not cheap nor crazy expensive for fresh sushi. My bf and I shared a few orders - first, the Sushi Roll Combo (typically $29) which comes with a roll, 6 pcs of nigiri and a soup and salad. For our roll we chose the negi toro roll so it was an additional $3. Really liked this set. We also shared a Chirashi bowl ($49) and Sanshoku Don ($68). These were definitely pricey but WORTH IT, especially the Chirashi. Portion was very generous and I loved the variety of fish that it came with. I'd recommend/get that again. The Sanshoku Don is expensive because it comes with uni, fresh crabmeat and ikura. Every bite tasted like the ocean. When I lived in LES I got it once a week and now I live in Crown Heights Brooklyn and STILL will take the train 35 minutes to pick it up for takeout when I need it. We got here at 6pm on a Friday and ordered at the takeout window. The storefront is not aesthetically pleasing - it resembles Chinese and Japanese restaurants from the 80s. I wondered for a moment if the sushi was as good as the reviews, but we were really pleased with the quality. We both got the sushi deluxe, and it was ready within 20 minutes of our order. Last minute decision to try this sushi place and the reviews led me well. The place is cutely decorated and clean. The staff were super attentive, accommodating, and patient. For starters we got crab rangoons that came out fresh. For our sushi roll orders we got three different vegetable rolls (clearly labeled vegan) and five fish rolls.
