They also serve it with a cup of fruit and salad, which was a nice. I also got a matcha and that was perfect. A hidden gem here in Kissimmee. My wife and I stumbled across this spot after we just had an average experience at another cafe around the corner. I mentioned to my wife how I liked the aesthetic of this one based on the layout and view from driving by and that we should stop by one of these days. Thank goodness we did as it officially ranked into our top 5 cafes ever. From the cozy decor to the delicious food and drinks, Susanna Cafe checks all the boxes. The service was great and we had the opportunity to speak with the owner, Susana. I can tell she puts a lot of care into the establishment. My son and I wanted to visit nearby Kissimmee Lakefront Park and discovered this gem in a quiet neighborhood near the court house. Located in a converted house, we sat in the sunny Florida room section. You can also sit inside or at tree-shaded tables outside. With calm music and encouraging Bible verses on the walls, this is truly a "happy place." The food and beverages also put a smile on my face. I enjoyed a lavender latte decorated with real lavender flowers. I tried a mini cheese arepa and had a side of absolutely perfect avocado to go with it. The creamy, garlicky sauce it was served with is enough for me to come back. My son's avocado toast was served with fresh mixed greens, blueberries and strawberries. WOW!! What a gem we found on our way back home to Pinellas County. The cafe is located on a quaint downtown street and is a renovated old house. The space is small it has both inside and outside seating. The service was impeccable along with the food! We found this on TripAdvisor when we were looking for a good brunch or breakfast spot. Our first impression was positive because we saw a lot of people eating at the outside tables. There were several Father's Day signs posted which gave us a glimpse to the owner's hospitality. We had a short wait for an inside table. The venue is essentially the first floor of a house converted into a restaurant. Our table was in one of the rooms. The atmosphere was very lively. There was a group of 5 or 6 girlfriends seated at a large table in our room and they were having a good time together. We ordered the Chicken Tender & Belgian Waffle, Breakfast Arepa with Sausage, and Tequenos with Guava and Cheese. The Chicken Tenders were nicely flavored. The Belgian Waffle was actually a quarter of a waffle which was not what was expected. Usually when a restaurant indicates a Belgian Waffle it means the entire waffle. The portion of the waffle was disappointing especially considering the cost of the dish. The Breakfast Arepa was excellent. The seasoning that was used in the scrambled eggs and sausage was delicious. I slathered some of their homemade Garlic Sauce onto the eggs and heightened the flavor even more. The Garlic Sauce is evidently something that people love enough to buy on its own since we saw signs for purchasing it. The tequenos were good although we did not really taste the cheese. I was expecting the cheese flavor to stand out more. There was plenty of parking because there is street parking, a parking lot across the street, and a parking lot next door to the restaurant. DRINK review FINALLY, a cafe that doesn't serve over-sweetened, unrecognizable matcha!! I asked if they use pre-sweetened matcha powder, and they DO NOT!! Hallelujah. Not a pre-sweetened powder, not a matcha syrup, real matcha powder. I ordered an iced matcha latte with pistachio milk and vanilla. Tbh, the pistachio milk didn't add any discernible nutty flavor (which I appreciate) and I'd say the consistency was similar to super smooth oat milk. They used enough matcha powder to where it's a nice vibrant green, and you can really taste it, even with the vanilla sweetener. If you like very sugary drinks, I suggest you ask for extra sweetener than normal, because they used a lighter hand than most coffee shop chains (which I greatly appreciate!!!) FOOD review I had their chicken empanada (not pictured because I was truly starving, sorry!) No complaints. The same quality I expect from my favorite local Latino bakeries. Fresh, PIPING hot, and came with a delicious garlic sauce. I think it's the kind that typically comes with an arepa! The chicken was well seasoned and the outside of the empanada was nice and crispy. We found this joint on the Google. It has mostly good reviews so we said YOLO! It located within a converted house, the ladies said it was "cure". It has very nice interior decor. We were greeted warmly by several of the staff and were seated immediately. I ordered an iced coffee and Boss Lady a hot latte. Both were delicious! Today we stopped in for breakfast/lunch at Susanna's Cafe. This restaurant is in Kissimmee near downtown in a former old house. This was our first time here and we loved it. We ordered Tequeños Guava & Cheese ($10.99), Breakfast Combo plate ($14.99) with scrambled eggs, bacon and waffle, and Breakfast Tacos($14.99) and a Chicken and Avocado Arepa ($12.99). We also ordered one iced latte, one hot latte and an unsweet iced tea. The bacon is good thick and tasty bacon. The flavors of the breakfast tacos was nice. The chicken salad on the Arepa is nice and creamy. We loved the Tequeños are really really tasty. The portions of food are generous and worth the price. We really enjoyed the lattes, so much that we even ordered an additional one to go. The iced tea is good but is quite lemony. I don't like lemon flavor in my iced tea so I likely won't order that again...but fir those that enjoy lemony tea, this is probably pretty perfect. Lots of seating inside with several windows to enjoy the outside from the comfort of being indoors. They have a simple menu but it was hard to choose as everything looks so good. Eggs were light and fluffy, Bacon thick, but crispy, And the pancake not only had walnuts on top, but also baked in. Went here to try somewhere new and it was worth it. It's the cutest little setup, reminds me of the house/restaurants you find in New Orleans. I've been so exited to try this new cafe tucked into the streets of downtown Kissimmee! We arrived today around 11:30 am and we're greeted to a very pretty interior and friendly staff. We felt welcomed and comfortable:) We decided to sit outside in the porch which had its own charm. Our server Jose was so friendly and kind! I loved that he seemed to genuinely love his job. I had an issue with my arepa order that another employee dismissed but Jose was quick to step in, apologize and correct. He was great-- 5+ star service!! We tried their signature coffee which was different and tasty. We also ordered arepas, croissant breakfast sandwich & avocado smoothie. The smoothie could've been sweeter but it was refreshing and creamy so we liked it! The rest of the food was veryy tasty I'd order everything again. My only hesitation in visiting again are the prices. They're quite steep in my opinion for what you get. So although the food tastes good I'm not quite convinced it's worth the price. However, I'd visit again because of Jose's great service :)! Side note: There's a discrepancy on the menu that leads a customer to think that cheese in included in their full size arepas... it's not.
