Despite growing up around here, I somehow never stumbled through these grand entrance gates until recently. This gem of a garden isn't just my butt's savior now on long drives up from LA, but it's a sliver of paradise found--and sanity regained. Just walking around here for 15-20 mins. and you'll feel your blood pressure drop a few notches to a pleasant state of calm. You can explore the themed areas, take in the vegetation around you, and get landscaping tips just from strolling around their property. The plant things are grouped in various climate/hemispheres and it's nice to see them taking root and being incorporated in a seamless design (and it's nice shopping experience too). I was impressed with the selection and bought a few small air plants and succulents that are still thriving with offshoots. Prices are reasonable. For pros looking for inspo, I think this place that can offer Interior Designers & Landscapers creativity with plants. Or even the DIY Weekend Warrior looking to revamp their current landscaping or add a little something new to it. They have a wide variety of exotics, California natives to indigenous to Australia, and every other tree, shrub, and greenery in between. Since it's the year of the (hobby) horse, I'll be sure to get my butt up here more often in 2026.

It's a nice small excursion if traveling to LA. What a wonderful concept to put a botanical garden on the property, it could show what you could do with the plants that they sold. It's tranquil to walk around and explore yet it is right next to the 101 so the freeway was loud. They really packed a lot of diversity into this small area. There were plaques for each different garden. Plaques I noticed (though there might be more) were South African Garden, Mediterranean Garden, Grassland, Cottage Garden, Native Garden, Succulent Garden, Central/South American garden, Australian garden, and Asian garden. My favorite was the Asian garden because it had a pond with koi fish.

For those who are familiar with the show Schitt's Creek, I would compare Lost & Found to Rose Apothecary. Instead of David and Patrick, you have two sisters named Susan and Patty who warmly welcome you in. While one could describe it as a 'general store,' others would think it isn't so 'general'. It is a communal coffee shop in that making that hopes to allow everyone to "come in and find themselves." The ultimate goal is to be open seven days a week selling a wide variety of things, including: -Specialty dark roast French coffee with milk -Freshly made goodies (including chocolate chip cookies, brownies, and an assortment of chocolate-dipped ginger, apricots and more) -Home decor and products (lotions, candles, fragrances) -Locally made art pieces, stationery and more! You can't help but notice the space's focal point of a gorgeous tropical-framed painting or all the local art that yells "Carpinteria!" I am truly excited to see this business grow and expand with the plans to have outdoor seating--particularly during these difficult times.

The food and honey are fresh and delicious, and their honey hand balm is soft and deeply moisturizing. Their staff are some of the kindest people you'll ever meet and you can tell how passionate they are about the business and making a positive impact on their community. At one point they noticed I didn't get my order in time, and brought out an extra slice to thank me for my patience, which goes to show their attention to making their customers happy and quickly correcting any mistakes. Food was extra fresh and absolutely delicious. Pepperoni Pizza - 5/5. Soft sourdough crust and mini pepperoni cups. Salad - 5/5. Fresh. Croutons and ranch made in house. Cookies - 5/5. Peanut butter chuck and chocolate chip cookies were perfectly chunky. Hot Honey - 5/5. Extra spicy (and when I say spicy, I mean spicy), and goes well with the pizza! The nursery was closed and locked up. I turned around and followed another yelpers advice and opened the large metal sliding door with the open sign above. The staff was friendly and she provided us with care instructions. She also told us that the nursery across the parking lot may open this summer. Definitely a unique stop that was fun to browse.

Give me an aspirin. I was too tired to figure it out. Just accept. But I fell in love like I had found THE ONE. All my life, I've killed plants. They would come to my home to die, but this one...this one hits different (-ly). When you KNOW, you KNOW! So I went into my pocket and bought five of these miniature little things in various beautiful colors and put together my own hanging arrangement. Then I took it home with me to live, not to die. I am over the moon. We are going to ride out into the sunset together, little plants. The staff is incredibly helpful. Brian is extremely passionate to a fault, but it is better than someone with no passion. Come here and jump on the air plant train. This concept, trend, whatever you want to call it, isn't going to die any time soon. With our world trying to be more conservative, this right here is the way of the future. Embrace it. Get you some air plants.
