Dr. Hansen is an excellent physician--knows his stuff, is friendly, has empathy, is willing to think outside the box, and yet is very professional. I can't say enough good things about him. Office staff is very nice and accommodating, and the facilities are clean and modern. My only complaint is that his one wheel chair needs new brakes.

I have been on numerous anti-depressant drugs over the last 15 years and at best they marginally produced a benefit. Most of the time I suffered with the side effects. I researched and found Albany ketamine infusions through a Google search. I reached out to them by phone and was very pleased with the warm and understanding conversation that ensued. At the end of the call I had been set up with an appointment within a few days and emailed some forms to fill. When I Arrived I was greeted by Dr. Hansen and his staff. I was surprised that Dr. Hansen himself spent over 45 minutes with me discussing my medical and personal history to understand where I was at and how I got there. My first infusion was Administered immediately after my counseling session. If I had to describe the experience to somebody it would be "one of the most relaxing and comforting hour I had in a very long time" At the end of the infusion I was given all the time I needed to recollect myself. I returned for five additional infusions but the magic happened the morning after my third session. Good morning after I woke and for the first time in over a decade I felt like my old self. I have energy, focus and a joy for life again. It was a transformative experience. The fog of my depression was lifted and I felt awesome. It has been six months since I started with Albany Ketamine Infusions and I actually feel better than I did the morning I woke. After my six sessions I have returned for two more infusions. If you are suffering from untreatable depression, post traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder or anxiety, don't hesitate, pick up the phone and call them. It was life-changing for me my only regret is not knowing that they existed. If it hadn't been for a random conversation with my pharmacist I still would not know about ketamine or Albany Ketamine Infusions. I'm not living with depression any longer. I still take a low dose of an anti-depressant but my view of the world and myself is completely different.

She had files strewn all over her office - open on her desk that I could read and unattended in her public waiting room where anyone could access them. She didn't even know why I was there, after about 2 hours, she actually asked me why I was there. She wanted details about my medical history. I asked what she planned to do with my medical information and she refused to answer and tried to trick or shame me into signing release forms that I hadn't read. I told her I wasn't comfortable giving her private information if she wouldn't tell me who it would be shared with. She kept asking what I was hiding in my medical records and then twice asked if I had STDs that I was worried that everyone would find out about. Really?? She told me her report was based on my orthopedic health - this is outside of her scope of practice. Tried to shame me about asking my employer for a reasonable accomodation due to a disability - news flash, any disabled person has that basic human right and should not be made to feel embarrassed for asking for a RA. Luckily, when she was so openly hostile toward me, I did a quick google search and found recommendations from other reviewers to record my session. I am so glad that I did, she can't deny her behavior or make up lies about me- I have it all recorded. As an added note - in providing forensic psychology services, she deals with sex offenders and she has such poor judgement, that she displays a picture of a topless child on her desk. To normal people, it's a cute little kid, but something totally different to some of the sick people she sees. Is she that incompetent or that oblivious or is she trying to use that child to bait reaction from some of the offenders she sees? It is so scary to have someone in her profession with such poor judgement and clear bias. She has power over many people's lives -she conducts evaluations relevant to criminal, civil and family court issues amung other services. After my interaction with her, I have a hard time believing the positive reviews and really have to wonder if they are written by the doctor herself... especially the ones that say they were removed for violating terms of service (curiously, both have her name on them).

Then on…read moreThanksgiving Eve when I was out of meds and I had a scheduled appointment they screamed at me repeatedly that I cannot see the doctor unless I paid immediately. I refused and asked to speak to a manager. They left me in a zoom waiting room for 45 minutes the same woman came back. She told me the psych was going to call in meds and I am not allowed to see him again until I have insurance pay the bill. Obviously that is never happening. This place is a total scam and thank god my primary care physician supports my mental health as well. Don't go here, you will regret it. Obviously negative stars if it was allowed.

As the years went by with this practice my prescribing doctor changed quite frequently. About a month ago I called in for a refill. It was then that they advised me my doctor had left the practice but they had a new doctor and set me up with an appointment. Fast forward to the day of the appointment, I am met on Zoom, they don't see patients any other way, and told the doctor they hired to replace mine already has a full plate and can't take me on. They are kicking me out of their practice. I can't understand how this is legal. It's extremely hard to find a doctor nowadays and because of their shortcomings the patients are suffering. They had no apologies and not a care in the world that they are letting down patients that have trusted them. This practice should be investigated. It doesn't make sense that doctors don't last longer than a year there. Terrible people with terrible morals.
