Yesterday I bought a wooden frog that comes with a wooden stick. If you hold the frog in an open palm and hit it gently with the stick, it makes a croaking sound like an actual frog would. I bought this for a friend with whom I share a frog affinity... we have a personal funny story about frogs that goes back years so whenever we see frog related things in our travels we buy them for each other. All I wanted was a UPS label so I could send the gift merrily on its way. Instead I was instructed to return the item before they could ship out a replacement. And it took 5 calls to accomplish that. Seriously? I've been in retail for many years and that just isn't how it's done. Making the customer satisfied should be paramount. I received incorrect chairs which were very expensive. The back cushions were wrong and the measurements were incorrect. She claims the were correct although any and all correspondence say otherwise. She will not make it right, I have not received my sofa. My feeling is she did not confirm with the design house that they got corrections since both things were wrong on the chairs and the sofa. Hoping to not have to change the cushions, she responded that the style I wanted was not graceful. Insulting client, bad form. We spent at least 45 minutes browsing the rows and rows and ended up walking away with a bunch of vintage political pins (which I collect). They don't have a lot of staff on hand, so there can sometimes be a wait to flag down someone to open the cases and check out, but they're all very friendly. They accept credit cards but have an old school paper tracking system; they prefer cash.
