My poor pup somehow hurt his leg and ended up needing patella surgery. My vet referred me to a specialist charging $7k which I can't afford. I was so defeated but started doing my research to find a quality place that I can afford. While doing my research every vet that I called recommended Surgipet. From the moment I called & spoke to the front desk they were so kind and supportive. I was able to get an appointment quickly 2 weeks after I called even though it was right before the holidays. Dr. Kurt was so friendly and knowledgeable. He took the time to walk me through everything and calm my fears. A few days after my initial meeting I got a quote and was able to schedule the surgery. On the morning of the surgery I was so nervous but the staff was so kind to me. After 7 hours I was able to pick Max up & talk to Dr. Kurt. The surgery was a success and the damage wasn't as bad as originally thought. We went back a week after surgery for a checkup and everything went well. This place is the most honest and sincere place to take your pet to get surgery done. I sent SurgiPet an email of my puppy's X-rays in the evening after coming home from disappointing vet visits and they called me early in the morning and scheduled my puppy's surgery for the same day. A little over a month ago, my husband and I took in this sweet senior kitty. His name is Nacho and he needed lots of dental help. We searched the web and came across SurgiPet and just felt in our gut this was the place to go. After consulting with our wonderful veterinarian at Gentle Touch Home Vet Care, the decision was made for Nacho to have extensive dental surgery for advanced periodontal disease. From our first phone call there to the moment we took him home from his surgery on February 9th, the entire staff was amazing, kind and wonderful to work with. Dr. CURT IS THE BOMB. My chocolate lab had an ear hematoma and we took her to get a presurgery check up during which we met the doctor who is kind, knowledgeable, and dedicated. We made an appointment to have our 4 year old dog's teeth cleaned. The doctor called us after he finished and told us she was waking up and all went well. THEN, he told us he pulled 16 of her teeth! He didn't even warn us that he thought he should do it or even ask us if we wanted him to do it. He said her teeth were lose and she would be happier now. She was perfectly happy before! My little dog never acted like anything was bothering her or that she had any kind of pain. The doctor took ALL her front teeth out and two other teeth from the top on each side. Now she has trouble getting the food into her mouth. I feel he should have at least called us and asked if we wanted to do that. All we expected was for her to get her teeth cleaned. I would never recommend the Buford, Ga. office to anyone! Beware of signing the form to give him permission to use his own judgement on your pet. read more

Could not be happier with my experience at SurgiPet. Everyone there is amazing from the front desk to Dr. Kurt. I called in desperate because my dog's primary vet quoted me 4000$ for a pyrometra surgery. This is a lifesaving urgent surgery and after searching everywhere we called this location and got quoted for a fraction of the price while also being able to remove a mammary tumor. I took my dog April on 10/19/22 and when I made the appointment I informed them she has been having ear infections I simply just asked when she is sleeping can they look inside both ears nothing was needed but to just check inside the ears. I was told yes they can check in her ears and it will be added to the notes. This appointment was made on 10/4/22. I would of gone to my vet to get this done as it was less expensive but they were extremely booked money was not an issue I wanted my baby to feel better and it was possibly her teeth causing any infections. I wish I had waited for my vet they are way more professional and could of handled this better. At around 12 pm when I go pick up April i'm like how are her ears the lady in the front is like huh and goes to the back, I can hear the tech yelling she should of said something earlier and she was getting nasty I can hear this the walls/door are thin !!! So I say its on the notes !! The front desk lady says she has to go over some stuff with you but because she was annoying she brought April to me shoved her on me and said her teeth are clean with an attitude nothing to go over with me because shes annoyed. I called for the manager today which claims to be "the owner" and calls me a liar. Keep your babies away from this place worse experience ever! I was referred to Surgipet for surgical removal of a mass from my dog's leg. I was able to quickly get an appointment for a consultation. I brought my dog in and was thoroughly impressed with our experience. Dr. Potgieter did a very thorough full-body exam on my dog and found a new heart murmur and another mass I did not know she had. Even though we came in for a consultation to have the mass removed, Dr. Potgieter answered all of my questions about the heart murmur. I felt very confident in Dr. Potgieter and scheduled her surgery before I left. The tech offered my dog a treat but she was too scared to eat it, so she put together a baggie of treats for her to eat when we got home which was so kind of her to do. Everybody showed compassion toward my scared dog and was very caring towards me as I was nervous to have to put my senior dog through anesthesia. You can tell they all truly care for each pet that walks through their doors. I would definitely recommend the entire staff at SurgiPet. And as a bonus, they are going to remove both masses for a lower price than our usual vet was charging to remove just the one mass! read more
